Hoppin' into the holidays with TGF!

Hello friends! Please scroll down for today's Sweet November sneak peek and give away post... thanks!

I'm so excited to be joining the fun tonight with TGF... as they are ringing in the holidays with an all customer blog hop! To get your hop on and see the complete list of participants just head on over to the Splendid Stamping blog. As part of the festivities, prizes are being awarded in three different categories so I decided to create a card for each one.

First up is my card for the "Holiday Treats" challenge. I altered Yoga Anya into one of the elves that works in Santa's kitchen and she is taking a break to sample some of her fresh baked gingerbread cookies before taking a plate to the big guy himself. :)
To get this look I wiped away her face and the top of her head with a baby wipe before stamping and then used a light box to trace Sunshine Anya's face onto her. Then I just drew on a hat and and gave her long sleeves. You can check out my tutorial on this here.

Next up is my card for the "Santa, Baby" challenge. For this one I slightly altered Christmas Cheeky by wiping away her closed eyes and tracing on Cheeky Shooter's open eyes. Now it looks like she has spotted Santa as he comes down the chimney and she's just ready and waiting for him underneath the mistletoe. ;)

And finally I have a card for the "Let it Snow" challenge. I thought it would be fun to see some Creepers celebrating the holidays so I altered Creeper Friday by wiping away her headphones and I used Creeper Wednesday's torso so that the overall look had her dressed for the cold winter weather. And knowing how mischievous those Creepers can be I paper pieced a poor ol' snowman that Friday has just knocked over, LOL! If you ask me Friday won't be getting anything but coal in her stocking this year. :)
And BIG thanks to Donna for this most perfect sentiment stamp!
Thanks for hopping by... now you'll want to head back to the TGF blog to see who is the next stop on the list! Sweet Holiday Wishes supply list:

Sweet November's flurry of sneak peeks

Welcome back for day 2 of our Sweet November December sneak peeks!

This is the time of year when the temperature drops and the clouds hang low and full over an expectant Sweet November Land. Everyone is waiting and watching for that very first snow to fall because they know that those first few flakes aren't just any snowflakes but rather the very special Snowflake Fairies that come to paint the world in their shimmering white magic.

Say hello to Nixie! Nixie is a free spirit who can most often be found racing around in the blustery, gusting winds that nip at your nose and make you pull your hat down tighter during a snowstorm. She's a bit of a trickster and loves to direct the snowdrifts to and fro until every path and lane in Sweet November Land is hidden from sight. She's a girl on the go who seems to embody not only the hustle and bustle of the season but all the joy as well.

Ok, time to take a peek at Nixie's candy...
Nixie's candy kit includes; one Sweet November Snowflake Fairy Nixie rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of various papers and vellum, one mini WeR Memory keepers Christmas clear stamp set, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, paper snowflakes, ribbon, buttons, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
All you have to do for a chance to win this candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to this candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :)
The candies will stay open through Sunday, December 5th and I will announce the randomly generated winners on Monday, December 6th. Which just so happens to be the official release date for all of December's new stamps over at ATS!
Well that's all I've got for day two but don't forget to head on over to the amazingly talented Sweet November Gals' blogs...Traci and Rachel and our December guest, Angela, to see Nixie take flight on all of their fab creations!

Sweet November snowflake sneak peeks!

Hello, hello!

Are you ready for some Sweet November December sneak peeks? I'm warning you that you may want to bundle up in a warm sweater (or Snuggie, LOL) for these ones because they definitely bring an icy chill with them even though they are just as sweet as can be. :)

Eira is one of these fairies and she loves to dance on a gentle arctic breeze, twirling and swirling as the cool light from the winter sun sparkles and shines on her crystalline gown. Her frosty touch turns the rivers and lakes to ice so all those in Sweet November Land can enjoy the fun of skating and frolicking right along side her and her other Snowflake Fairy friends.

As always we are celebrating this release with a bit of candy... just take a look! :)

Eira's candy kit includes; one Sweet November Snowflake Fairy Eira rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of various papers and vellum, one mini WeR Memory keepers Christmas clear stamp set, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, paper snowflakes, ribbon, buttons, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by on this first day of sneak peeks! Now you will want to be sure to head on over to the fabulous Sweet November Gals' blogs...Traci and Rachel as well as our amazing guest, Angela, for even more wintry Eira beauty!

Sweet November spotlight on Angela!

Hello and good morning!

Can you believe it is almost December? Where did this year go?! Well, at least with the new month closing in that means brand new Sweet November Stamps previews are about to begin!
It also means that I've got December's SN guest gal to introduce you to before we dive into all those wonderful candies! ;)

So without further ado please let me introduce you to the fabulously talented Angela Sowell! I have been a long time fan of Angela and her AMAZING way with Copic markers. She achieves such depth and richness of color with her images that it always leaves me in awe! And her talents don't end there... I also love how Angela isn't afraid to play with texture and dimension in her card embellishing to create a lovely vintagey feel. So pretty!

Ok, time for my favorite part of the spotlight... the crazy, fun SN questionnaire!

1) What color do feel represents your personality and why?
Not for sure which color represents my personality, but my favorite color is green and it always puts me in a good mood.

2) Is your style of dress/ home decor similar to your style of card making?
Yes, when it come to colors as my favorite colors to create with are warm colors. I think I have the color Chocolate brown in every room in my house, mixed with other colors too. I think my card making differs from each card as I don’t really have a style when it comes to creating.

3) What one thing always puts you in a good mood?

When stamps come in the mail!! Who doesn't love getting new stamps to play with.

4) If you could visit any time in history when would it be?

1920’s or 1930’s as I love the style then.

5) If you were a mythical creature ie. fairy, elf, mermaid, troll etc., what kind would you be and why?

I would pick a fairy. I’d love to be able to fly up in the trees and look down on the beauty that surrounds me, but my kids would say a troll. As I can be a tough mom at times… not really.. they just think so when they don’t get their way.

Bonus question
6) If you are a fellow Gleek, which character from McKinley High do you most identify with?

I would have to say Rachel as I have a big heart and at times people can take advantage of that.

Now it's time to share Angela's magical Twisted Sisters card and how it inspired mine for today.
The biggest design idea that I took was her use of not one, not two but three images on a single card! The interaction between the different characters was just too fun not to try out. :)
The general layout design is also lifted straight from her card, as well as the long vertical block housing the sentiment.

Angela will be joining Traci, Rachel and myself in the December Sweet November sneak peeks starting tomorrow! This new release is sure to have you longing for a white Christmas so be sure to come back and take a peek! ;)

Tickled Pink Stamps Merry Christmas Blog Hop

Good morning!

Welcome to the Tickled Pink Merry Christmas blog hop where we are celebrating the release of the brand new Christmas Sentiments rubber stamps and die! If you are coming here from Ann's blog then you are right on track, if not then just head on over to the TP blog for a complete list of all the stops in the hop.

For my card today, I've paired the Merry Christmas sentiment with an altered Lolita. Once again I've used Ghost Willow's head on 30's Lylah's body, though I did make her facing the opposite direction from the last time I did this alteration and I gave her a gift bag on this one. What can I say... I just love the Red Riding Hood look of this combination of digi stamps. :)

Ok, time for you to keep on hoppin' over to Debbie's blog. Be sure to stop at each blog along the way in order for a chance to win these cool new sentiments. And you can also find them in the Tickled Pink store ready for purchase!

Thanks for dropping by! :)

Peace & love

Good morning!
I hope those celebrating had a truly wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! :)
I'm enjoying one more day off today but you won't catch me braving the Black Friday shopping crowds... no sir-ee. I tend to get a bit claustrophobic in big crowd situations so no deal is worth that stress for me. Luckily there are plenty of Cyber Monday deals to be had! ;)

So today I've got a card that is playing double duty as a Tickled Pink preview and the last Lil Lolita Boutique challenge. I've had this 'big head' Kellita semi-colored ever since I made my straight hair Copic tutorial a few months back (it took me three tries before I got the video right). Anywho, I thought that she would pair nicely with these brand new Christmas Sentiments stamps that will be available in rubber only at the Tickled Pink store very soon. They are designed by the talented Ann Vento. Not only are there new stamps but Kellie is also bringing you a first to Tickled Pink Stamps, our very own DIE! How exciting is that! This die will go around the frame stamp you'll see in some of the other Pink Ladies previews. And if you would like a chance at winning this fabulous sentiment set and the die just be sure to leave a comment over on the Tickled Pink blog and then don't miss the blog hop tomorrow as well!
Now I also used the sketch from the very last Lil Lolita Boutique challenge that is running this week. If you've been playing along with us don't be sad... we've got big plans to bring you a brand new challenge, one that will include all of the ever expanding range of images available from Tickled Pink Stamps. :)
Until then, why not pull out a Lolita and join us in this final LLB challenge... the prize this week is your choice of five rubber stamps from the Tickled Pink Store!
Toodles!

Sweet Holiday Wishes

Hey there, hi there, ho there!

Raise your hand if you enjoyed the Glee wedding... me, me, me! I couldn't help but get a little choked up during it and I loved all the songs they did. But waaahhhhh about Kurt... I don't want to spoil anything but man, sectionals is going to be quite interesting this year. :(

Ok, so today we've got a brand new challenge over at All That Scraps to make some tags. I used the Sweet November Christmas Babies and simply stamped them on kraft cardstock for my set of gift tags. Then I was inspired to make a card to go along with them using Cookie & Milk Girl. I mixed up a couple different paper lines from October Afternoon because I thought it would be fun to have not only the cookies represented but the different kitchen appliances you would use while making all those Christmas treats. :)

Remember, every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

XOXO!

Joy to the world

Good morning!

Well, the snow keeps piling up around here and the high today is forecast to be a whopping 13 degrees... brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! You can be sure that I'll be bundling up all nice and cozy before heading off to work this morning. :)

And it's Glee night tonight! I sure hope it's a new episode... I can't remember the previews for sure but I'll be so disappointed if it is a re-run. And do you think there will be a Christmas episode featuring some of the new Christmas songs? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that!

Today's Christmas card is certainly different from most of the ones I've made so far... the traditional red and green combo is no where to be seen! I actually colored up this super cute Lili of the Valley image before picking out papers, which I almost never do, so I was kinda stumped when it came time to put this card together. I decided to delve into my Christmas stash of papers and found this old Flair paper that looks like a bible page and I finally got my "A-ha" moment. Because it was so perfect with the image I decided to keep the rest of the card design nice and simple. I think this is one that my Grams will really like. :)

Okey dokey, chat at'cha later my friends!

All is calm

Hiya sweeties!

Thank you so much for all of the birthday wishes yesterday! I had a wonderfully low key celebration, which is just the way I like it... it was a perfect day! :)
I have today off too but I've got a to-do list to work on before Thanksgiving comes on Thursday so I'll be trying to get that all taken care of in time.

So in that vein, I'll quickly share a quick little card with ya before I head off... I used this sweet Poinsettia Girl image from Sugar Nellie and her look of calm serenity lead me to use this great vintagey looking Christmas text paper. I tried not to cover up too much of it so I went pretty light on the embellies but I think it all works in the end. ;)

Alrighty, time for me to scoot... smooches! Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and PTI

All I want for Christmas is you

Hello, hello!

It pretty much snowed all day yesterday and there is more still to come but thankfully I've got today off so I don't have to worry about going anywhere. It's also my birthday today and my sister has promised to make a German Chocolate cake for my par-tay tonight... should be good times! Until then though, I plan on holing up in my craft room and playing the day away! :)

Before I get to my card for the day I still haven't heard from a couple of the Sweet November Birthday candy winners...

The winner of Birthday Boy from my blog is- Tonia
The winner of Penelope and Fiesta from Rinne's blog is- Frea

Tonia and Frea, I need to hear from you with your mailing addys by Thursday or I am going to draw two new winners. You can email me at: pete_danger@hotmail.com

Ok, card time... today I altered Cheeky Nurse from The Greeting Farm to turn her into a cheeky li'l gal holding some mistletoe. I just wiped away her stethoscope using a baby wipe and then drew in the mistletoe. Oh and I also wiped away her original eyebrows and traced Cheeky Glamour's brows onto her for a softer look. Once I had that down she kinda reminded me of a 'sexy' version of Mary from "It's a Wonderful Life" so of course I had to give her brown hair, LOL! Now I'm wondering if every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings, what happens every time a couple kisses under the mistletoe? heeheehee ;)

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Dear Santa...

Well friends, it's official... the snow has arrived.
It started as I was coming home from work last night and was still snowing by the time I went to bed. I admit that it makes for some beautiful scenery but man oh man, I just wish I didn't have to drive through it! Alas, I must head to work in a bit so it will be slow going in for me... I'm a "better safe than sorry" kind of driver once the white stuff hits the roads which drives some of my fellow commuters crazy, I'm sure! ;)

Anywho, enough of making you listen to me whine about the weather... time to move onto my card for today. It's a simple one using the 'Making a List' Pure Innocence stamp. I think she looks like she's writing a letter to Santa and had to pause for a moment to remember all the toys on her list. :) And can you believe this card is made without any pattern paper? Yep, it's all cardstock and old packaging from some clear stamps that I got years ago, which of course was too cute to throw away! LOL
So here it is, finally fulfilling it's crafty destiny and I have one less scrap in my scrap folder... yeah!

Ok, time for me to bundle up and get ready to face that wintry wonderland out there. Later gators!

Joy & wonder

Hey there!

We're supposed to be getting an arctic blast through here this weekend, bringing with it our first snow of the season. I'm not exactly thrilled about the idea of driving in the snow once again but ya do what ya gotta do. Hopefully this 'La Nina' year isn't as bad as they are predicting... ;)

Speaking of winter wonderlands, I think my card today brings to mind a snowy day. The Dear Lizzy paper inspired the whole thing with it's cool berry branch looking design which brought to mind the magic of freshly fallen snow out in nature. From magic my mind leapt to fairies and I remembered this little Pergamano cutie. She is actually part of the Summer Fairies set but her striped tights, fur lined clothes and jingle bells on her shoes look way more Christmas/wintry than summery if you ask me. Throw in that little squirrel with his present and I think they make for a fun holiday card.

Ok, I'm outta here. Hope your weekend is a wonderful one... rain, snow or shine. :)

Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and PTI
paper- American Crafts (Dear Lizzy Christmas)

I believe...

Well I was disappointed by Walmart yet again. I went up after work and still no Glee Christmas. :(
I'm thinkin' it's going to have to wait 'til Monday when I can make the trip down to the 'big city'. At least there if one of the big box stores doesn't have it I can just cruise on over to one of the others until I find that elusive cd! ;)

Ok, so my card today features a super cute Lili of the Valley Christmas stamp. I love how this little guy looks like he is pretending to be Santa taking a one-on-one ride with ol' Rudolph there. And while I've had him for a few months now, it wasn't until I got these great 'I Believe' papers, with those fun reindeer, that I finally knew what to do with him. It was a perfect match! Rockin' around the Christmas tree

Mornin' friends!

I am sad to report that my Walmart let me down once again... no Glee Christmas cd out yet, sigh. :(

But I don't give up easily so I will be heading back up there after work tonight and hopefully I'll have better luck then. Speaking of Glee... I thought last night's episode was okay but not a top fave or anything. Though I was pleasantly surprised about how well Gwyneth held her own and the mash-up at the end was fun. :)

Alrighty time to move on to my card for today and this one is for the LLB challenge. It's an open Christmas theme and you may be surprised to see that with this theme I didn't even use one of the fab new Christmas Lolitas! You see I got an idea in my head to use Sookie after listening to the old Brenda Lee, "Rockin' around the Christmas tree" song on the radio the other day. So I cut the microphone out of her hand and cut up a some silver ribbon and tied it on little knots to create the garland that she's getting ready to string on the tree. I thought her outfit even worked because her sweater could be one of those crazy Christmas sweaters that Grannies love to give, LOL!

Anywho, I had a lot of fun with this one and I'm sure you will too if you play along with us this week! So pull out a Lolita and get your Christmas groove on! :)

Toodles!

Season's greetings

Olo!

It's Tuesday and you know what that means... Glee night! I'm totally intrigued to see how Gwyneth Paltrow does as the substitute teacher. I know she sang in that movie, Duets, but I've yet to watch it so I don't know what she will be like. And if that wasn't exciting enough, today is also supposed to be the release day for the Glee Christmas album! Woot, woot! I am SO going up to Wally World after work where hopefully they will have it out by then. I say hopefully because my local Walmart has been pretty lame about getting things out in a timely manner. So I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high about listening to new tunes on my drive home tonight. ;)

My card today features the new Beanie Anya from The Greeting Farm. I got my order of new stamps late last week and I've been dieing to ink them up and play... they are all just so cute! Now you may have noticed that altered Beanie just a bit by giving her a hair cut. Being a short haired girl myself I just thought the look would suit her. I also drew in little silver skates on the bottoms of her boots to make it look like she was skating on a pond with the trees reflecting on the ice. I think it makes for a pretty peaceful and serene little scene. :)

Ok, time for me to get ready for work... wish me luck on the new Glee cd! LOL

SN's Sweet Celebration blog hop!

Hello again... please scroll down for my Tickled Pink blog hop post, thanks! :)

Welcome to Sweet November's Sweet Celebration Birthday blog hop!

Yep, it has been one year since the characters who reside in Sweet November Land have come out to play and a few of them have gotten all decked out for a grand birthday party today! All of the wonderful SN Gals and Guest Gals, as well as some of the ATS design team have come together to showcase these new cuties with a hop! And you won't want to miss a single blog because not only are the cards super cute and totally inspiring but there are also four birthday candy kits hidden along the way... think of them as fun birthday presents for you to win!

We are kicking things off at the ATS blog where you can find the complete list of every one's blogs and if you have come here from Jodie's blog then you have completed the entire hop... YEAH! I really hope that you have enjoyed everything you've seen today because we have so enjoyed having you here to help us celebrate this milestone. :)

(edited to add:)

Looks like we are experiencing some technical difficulties at the ATS blog so here is the official list of hoppers for ya!

All four of these new Sweet November stamps will be available in the ATS store on Monday, November 15th... which is the same day that the birthday candy winners will be announced here on my blog. So do you wanna see some teasers of the candy that is up for grabs? I thought you might... ;)

Darby the Sprite is always up for a party... especially one with plenty of cake and ice cream! And it doesn't matter if she can't find anything to light the candles with because she has her glow bug friend, Dazzle, to provide that all important birthday sparkle and shine!

Penelope the Sprite is also ready to celebrate the big day with fun games, a pinata full of candy and of course lots of colorful balloons! And it looks like Fiesta, the butterfly, thinks he has found a new butterfly friend to flutter around with! LOL
It looks like the babies are growing up a bit and this little guy is wishing big before blowing out his candle. I wonder what he is hoping to find inside all those great presents?!
Finally, this little sweetie has gotten all dressed up in her special birthday dress and she is surrounded by friends and family as they all sing the Happy Birthday song to her on this big day. It's hard not to feel like a princess with all of that attention focused on you. :) I'm going to skip the supply lists today as this post is already pretty long... if anyone has any questions about what I used or my Copic combos please feel free to email me. :)
Once again, thanks SO much for all of your support of Sweet November Stamps this past year and I hope to continue sharing even more new characters with you for a long time to come!
HUGS!
