Make it work!

It must have been kismet that I would be watching the latest episode of Project Runway when I read the announcement of a new Farm Fashionista contest over at The Greeting Farm. Right away my mind began to spin and think of the perfect TGF characters to transform into a PR model and contestant because the incentive to try and win those super cute new Miss Anyas that they are also peeking is just too much to resist!

Something about Wild Sprout Odette has always said "seamstress" to me so she quickly became my contestant vying for top designer. Then I thought it would be fun to create a model out of the Creeper Crew... I'm not sure exactly why, could be those big expressive eyes and crazy hair. :)
I ended up doing the most altering on the model by combining Halloween Bride's face and crown of hair to Creeper Sasha's full head of curly hair and a VERY altered Piper body. I paper pieced the dress out of some funky Basic Grey paper because Odette is trying to think outside the box and present a fabulous rainbow colored zebra print evening gown to the judges... that is one fabric I think she would have been better off leaving on the shelves of Mood... oy!

At first this was all I was going to do but when Tim Gunn came on the screen I had the epiphany that would pull the whole card together... I needed a 'Tim' saying, "Make it work." LOL
So I was back on the hunt for the perfect 'Tim' character. As soon as I saw Wild Sprout Dressy Daniel I was sold... with just a bit of tweaking to his hair line and the addition of some glasses and his signature crossed arms I was that much closer to a finished card.
Can't you just imagine him, eyebrow raised, as he points out Odette's messy work station... look at all those fabric scraps strewn about! He probably also has something to say about her over-use of the PiperLime accessory wall (that I tried to hint at with the background papers) considering all of the bling on her model. Hopefully Odette can pull the look together and avoid hearing Heidi tell her, "You're out!" ;)

Ok, ok... my apologies if you aren't a PR fan, I've probably bored you to tears by now. But this card was a blast for me to concept and put together so forgive me if I got a little carried away with my PR enthusiasm.

And now I'm 'out' as it is time for me to get ready for work... ciao!

You should write and illustrate your own books b/c your stories are as good as your drawings and alterations! Totally fun idea, love it all :0)

My jaw dropped when I seen this! Amazing!! Rachel is right (I also agree) you should write your own books. I love reading what you have to say as much as seeing the card you created....

Hahahahaha, I LOVE IT! So much like the show, a contestant, Tim, and model! You amaze me with your creativity! Fabulous!! And that last PR had so much drama. I'm a big fan of Anthony R but hated what he created-- & Josh won because he led his team to winning but he was so mean.

I just had to leave a comment as I usually look at the card first and then read text, so I thought PR when I saw it and thought how clever, and then saw in text that was what you were thinking about too! Great, fun card.
