Christmas Evie

This Christmas season the Sweet November Pixies thought it would be fun to take a trip up north... way north! Apparently Santa's elves needed a few helping hands in the workshop and the Pixies were only too happy to add some of their magic to the preparations. So if we want to visit them it looks like we'll have to hop a sleigh to the North Pole as well. Bundle up, it's going to be a chilly ride. :)

Well, we've made it to Christmas eve... Christmas Evie that is! Yep, it's the big night and while everyone else is getting the reindeer and sleigh ready or are busy loading last minute gifts, little Evie is tasked with making sure Santa doesn't leave without the ever important "List". If you ever wondered who was checking it twice then look no further than this sweet pixie. Evie sees to it that Santa's naughty and nice list is as up to date as possible right up until he steps onto his sleigh and she also gives him the map of the night's travels to keep him on track through his journey. But before we can watch the big take-off ourselves, Evie reminds us that we need to return home in order to be in bed on time.

At least she is leaving us with some Christmas candy as we are ushered back home, check it out...
The Evie candy kit includes; one Sweet November Christmas Pixie Evie rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of Crate Sleigh Ride paper, small Studio G acrylic sentiment stamps, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, wood veneer snowflakes, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :)
The candy will stay open through Friday, November 2nd and I will announce the winners on Saturday, November 3rd. And just so ya know, all of the stamps will be available for purchase in the ATS store tomorrow night.

Be sure to head on over to the Sweet November Gals' blogs! Nancy and Marion have worked their Christmas magic yet again! :)

Instead of using random generator I will be printing out names and tossing them in a hat SO if you leave comments for the SN gals on their blogs, you will get an extra name in the hat for each one that you do... this will up your chances of winning the candy... fun, fun, fun!

Thanks so much for joining us for the Sweet November November release. I really hope that you have enjoyed our trip to the North Pole this year. And if you hop on over to the ATS blog there are even more gorgeous SN cards and more chances to win today!

Be good for goodness sake...

So once Chrissy has wrapped the gifts it is time for Nicholas to help load them onto Santa's sleigh. He's a busy pixie making sure that not a single present gets left behind because he can't even imagine the disappointment that would bring to some good girl or boy. It's quite the responsibility to have, but Nicholas wouldn't have it any other way. Large or small each gift is carefully placed in Santa's magic bag ready for the midnight ride. And the big guy himself couldn't be happier with his new little helper which puts a huge smile on Nicholas' face.

And you know what puts a smile on my face? Some sweet Christmas candy to share...
The Nicholas candy kit includes; one Sweet November Christmas Pixie Nicholas rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of Echo Park This & That Christmas paper, small Studio G acrylic sentiment stamps, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, wood veneer stars, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

Now you'll want to check out the Sweet November Gals' blogs! Nancy and Marion have this little guy all wrapped up! :)

A gift of crafty candy...

Wandering past the bustling activity of elves busy making all sorts of toys in the massive workshop we find ourselves in the wrapping rooms. It's here that we run into Pixie Chrissy who is busy herself with preparing those toys for Santa's upcoming ride. She loves wrapping the gifts in all sorts of pretty papers and she is an expert at curling ribbon and tying bows faster than anyone else. Chrissy has a tendency to sing Christmas tunes while she works which everyone quite enjoys and it is hard to resist joining in too. Before we know it, the entire wrapping room is singing a lively rendition of 'Up on the Rooftop'... so much fun!

And while Chrissy says that we have to wait 'til Christmas to get our presents she does have some crafty candy to share...
The Chrissy candy kit includes; one Sweet November Christmas Pixie Chrissy rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of October Afternoon Holiday Style paper, small Studio G acrylic sentiment stamps, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, paper doily, stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

Bring on the twinkle... and the candy!

This Christmas season the Sweet November Pixies thought it would be fun to take a trip up north... way north! So if we want to visit them it looks like we'll have to hop a sleigh to the North Pole as well. Bundle up, it's going to be a chilly ride. :)

It's time to deck the halls and Pixie Twila is more than up to the task. She is a crafty, creative girl and she loves to hand make special Christmas decorations that help to make the season memorable. Twila absolutely adores anything that sparkles and shines so no surface is left unadorned as she finds just the right touch to brighten every corner of Santa's abode. And if we stand still admiring her attention to detail for too long we just may find ourselves the next thing to be wrapped in tinsel and bows!

Before that happens I spy a few dishes of Christmas candy to entice us on our way, take a look...
The Twila candy kit includes; one Sweet November Christmas Pixie Twila rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of Authentique Festive paper, small Studio G acrylic sentiment stamps, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, wood veneer trees, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

A very shiny nose... and candy!

Heading into the stables it is easy to spot Pixie Rudy 'hard at work'. He has donned a pair of antlers and shiny red nose in order to fit in with the reindeer and he's doing a great job of keeping everyone entertained with his impressions. Rudy has quite a way with the animals and Comet especially seems to have become quite attached. The two of them are inseparable and from what I hear, Santa has even decided to bring Rudy along on the big Christmas Eve ride to help guide the team... what an honor!

I think some Christmas candy is in order to celebrate Rudy's promotion...
The Rudy candy kit includes; one Sweet November Christmas Pixie Rudy rubber stamp, eleven 6x6 sheets of Studio Calico Wonderland paper, small Studio G acrylic sentiment stamps, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, jingle bell die cut, wood veneer stars, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... Merry Little Christmas Candy

Touching down, the first to greet us amidst all the hustle and bustle is Pixie Beth. She is positively bubbling with Christmas cheer. Beth is helping to fill stockings with all sorts of holiday treats for good boys and girls and she can't resist adding some of her own special touches as well. This year some lucky kids are going to find very special enchanted candy canes hanging from their mantels on Christmas morning. As a treat, Beth wants us to try them out before the big day and I have to say that her magical confection is absolutely delightful. It's like the sugar itself is imbued with Christmas spirit and each bite fills you with those warm, feel good emotions.

And the candy canes aren't the only thing Beth has to share, take a look at this crafty candy...
The Beth candy kit includes; one Sweet November Christmas Pixie Beth rubber stamp, eleven 6x6 sheets of My Mind's Eye Merry Little Christmas paper, small Studio G acrylic sentiment stamps, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, holly leaf die cuts, two doilies, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

A beautiful holiday

Hello again!

It rained all day yesterday, needless to say that made it a very indoors kind of day. So I had time to play with some of the stamps that have been collecting over the past few months, just begging for some ink.
I adore the Kaylee's Closet set from Some Odd Girl and how Kristy is releasing small wardrobe add-ons to it each release. With my love of altering and playing with my stamps this was a must have. You are probably scratching your head as to where Kaylee actually is on this card and I admit that I got a bit head swap happy. As much as I love short haired Kaylee (and she will be showing up on a card soon) I am also keeping my fingers crossed that Kristy will make a coordinating long haired Mae's Closet set in the same pose so that all of the clothes can be interchanged. Until that happy day, I decided to borrow Mermaid Mae's head to get the look I wanted.
The papers are all scraps from my stash because as much as I enjoy digging in to new paper pads, the scraps are kinda out of control at the moment. I really should do a purge but when I find myself with some free time I'd much rather be creating than cleaning. I guess I just have to hope that I get productive enough again to make a dent at least. ;)

Oh, and did you see that All That Scraps is now carrying a few of the Some Odd Girl stamps? It's all fall and Christmas right now but I'm sure the selection will grow as ATS continues to add more stamping goodies after the big move of the store this past summer.

Alrighty, have a good one everybody!

Joyeux Noel

Hello, hello!

I don't know how things are looking in your neck of the woods but around here the snow level is creeping further and further down the surrounding mountains at an alarming rate. This may just be one of those years where we end up getting some snow by Halloween. I can't say that I'm a fan of winter arriving quite this early, especially when it feels like I was finally getting to settle in and enjoy fall.

I'm thinking that the chill in the air could be a contributing factor to my return to card making having a decidedly holiday type vibe. Though, more likely it is all the cute Christmas stamps and pretty papers that have been coming out recently. ;)
Speaking of which... it's review preview day for the October Sweet November release today and this time I decided to use the digital version of Angel Noelle. I wanted to be able to blow her up a bit larger than the rubber stamp version so that she wouldn't be overshadowed but that fantastic, but kind of busy, winter berry print. I actually feel like I cheated a bit with the coloring because instead of Copics I used some gold Smooch to color in her wings and halo. But I think the effect is really lovely so I'll probably be doing it again sometime.

Be sure to check out the ATS blog today for loads of angelic inspiration from my fellow teamies. And in just a few short days we will be starting up a whole new round of previews along with all of the fun that goes along with them, so you won't want to miss that!

Later gators!

So very merry...

Good news my friends!

I was able to bring my mom home from the hospital on Friday and she is doing amazingly well. So much stronger than the first time she was released and she is working hard with her physical therapy. I am so proud of her and the progress that she is making. It finally feels like we are all on the road back to normalcy. You can read a big sigh of relief there. :)

And since everything is going so well I was able to get into my crafty room yesterday and just play. Mom was actually pretty insistent that I make a card since I have been such a slacker in that department lately (my words not hers, LOL) and I'll be honest, it felt really good. I had started coloring up this Anya Celebrates a month or so ago but only got as far as her skin so yesterday I thought she would look good on a Christmas card with that big present of hers. I only tweaked her a bit by adding some holly berries to her hair clip and with a lot of red and green she was ready to celebrate the season. Doodlebug is always a great match with the Greeting Farm cuties so when I spotted this print in my scrap bag it was a natural choice. The layout is super simple but with the busy print I didn't want to do anything too crazy. That and I've been feeling kinda rusty lately. Amy needs to get her groove back so I'm baby stepping until that happens. ;)

Alrighty, it's a brand new week and I should be getting ready for work. Have a good one everybody!

Oh, joy!

Hey there!

So mom isn't home quite yet but I should be heading back over to Seattle tomorrow or Friday to finally bring her home (hopefully this time for good). She will have at least one more trip back there in a couple of weeks to get her last drain removed and I'm just hoping that it doesn't really snow on the mountain passes before then... I hate driving in the snow!

Speaking of snow, even though I'm not a huge fan of traveling through the white stuff ya gotta admit that it sure makes for a perfect Christmas scene. This one features another of the cheeky Christmas Mashi's Muffins stamps from the October release, Tangled Tori. One look at her and I thought that she could make for a fun spin on a "Bah Humbug" type of card. That's why I added the 'Oh' to the Joy sentiment bubble. She seems about ready to give up on trying to untangle those lights and just get a nice, big mug of eggnog.  ;)

You can see more Mashi inspiration over on the ATS blog today and all of the October stamps can be found here in the ATS store

Have a good one!

Making Christmas happen

Good morning!

Well, today is the day that we are going to find out if mom's drain tubes will be coming out and we are all so excited for that possibility. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will be back home and unencumbered by the end of the week. :)
Getting her back home will be a big step to everything settling down and returning to normal, which I have to say I've been so ready for. Lately I've been really itching to create more than I have in quite awhile. It's a constant ache to get into my crafty room and just play with some of the new goodies that are totally inspiring me. It's a good feeling to have because to be honest I had lost my mojo for a time and wasn't sure when/if it would return. Now I can officially say that the desire is back and the ideas are churning, all I need now is the time. That and a clean crafty room, which is still not quite a reality. But when is it ever? LOL

In the meantime, I have this card that I made for the ATS previews at the beginning of the month and kinda sorta forgot to post here... oops! It features the new and super cute Santa Lula who has quickly become a new fave. She's a simple image that makes it easy to pair her up with a variety of different papers. This time I went with some fun Imaginisce papers because I really wanted to fussy cut that little Rudolph out to got with Lula. Yes, I've missed a lot of crafting time but I am anxious to dive into Christmas cards after working on this last release. :)

Alrighty, time for me to scoot... I'll let y'all know how things go as soon as I can.
Laters!

Joy and Cheer

Hi guys,

I wanted to jump in here with a quick update as well as this week's review preview card. :)
Well, my mom is still in the hospital over in Seattle. She is doing pretty good and the newest report is that both of the drains that she has had in her for months may finally be coming out next week. This is a huge step if it happens because it will be so much easier for both her and me when she comes back home. One less thing to worry about and take care of during the rest of her healing process so fingers are definitely crossed. She is so bored over there and ready to come back home for good and I've gotta think that the possibility of that happening can't be too far away.

Now onto some stamping fun. I'm sure that you didn't miss the new release over at All That Scraps last week. All of the new stamps are now available and this time around I inked up Caroling Emma for a classically quaint Christmas card. She is so sweet looking and it was a match made in heaven to pair her up with some new Handmade Holidays paper from Simple Stories. Something about that burlap print just won me over. And how cool are those new CC Cutters? The Music Note border is so delicate and I am going to get a ton of use out of those holly leaves, I can tell you that right now! :)

Alrighty friends, I hope that you are enjoying some beautiful fall weather and not having to rush through the season. And even if you are finding days rushing by, take some time to slow down and heck, even hop on over to the ATS blog for some lovely inspiration.

XOXO

Peace and Harmony...

It's that time of year again. Time to bundle up and travel back into the magical realm of Sweet Novemberland. There is a certain sense of serenity and peace in the cool, crisp air as we walk over the snow covered hills. And that warm glow of holiday happiness isn't just coming from the Yuletide sunshine... no, I suspect that this special trip will be bringing us into the company of some Sweet November Christmas Angels.

Do you hear the soft, sweet sound of music being carried on the breeze? It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. So it's no surprise to find that the one responsible for spreading such cheer is another Christmas Angel. She is called Harmony, and for good reason. Harmony sings like no other and her skill at playing any instrument is unmatched. How lucky are we to get to sit back and just enjoy this impromptu Christmas concert for the day? The whole experience is pure Christmas magic and one that I'm glad I get to share with all of you. :)

The only thing that can make this day any better is a little bit of Christmas candy, don'tcha think?
The Harmony candy kit includes; one Sweet November Angel Harmony rubber stamp, eleven 6x6 sheets of Authentique Festive paper, small Studio G acrylic stamp set, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, Studio Calico wood veneer birds, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

The candy will stay open through tomorrow Friday, October 5th and I will announce the winners on Saturday, October 6th. And just so you know... all of the new October stamps will be available for purchase tomorrow at the ATS store.

Alrighty, now be sure to visit each of the Sweet November Gals' blogs! Marcy, Nancy and Marion have some very harmonious cards to share with you today! :)

Once again... instead of using random generator I will be printing out names and tossing them in a hat SO if you leave comments for the SN gals on their blogs, you will get an extra name in the hat for each one that you do... this will up your chances of winning the candy... fun, fun, fun!

Thanks for joining us on this third and final day of the Sweet November October release. Be sure to also head on over to the ATS blog for more SN previews and chances to win!

Noelle, Noelle...

It's that time of year again. Time to bundle up and travel back into the magical realm of Sweet Novemberland. And that warm glow of holiday happiness isn't just coming from the Yuletide sunshine... no, I suspect that this special trip will be bringing us into the company of some Sweet November Christmas Angels.

Just beyond Felicity's greenhouse there is a clearing amongst the evergreens where another Christmas Angel is busy caring for forest creatures great and small. Noelle has a special gift when it comes to animals and they all flock to her peaceful little Christmas oasis. Before you know it there is a fluffy lamb in your arms as well, nuzzling its sweet face against your neck. Noelle is delighted to have so many new friends here to share in her joy of caring for God's creations. And after a day filled with all the wonder and pure love that they bring it is hard to say goodbye and travel onward.
Noelle understands though and even offers up some special Christmas candy to one lucky crafter...
The Noelle candy kit includes; one Sweet November Angel Noelle rubber stamp, twelve 6x6 sheets of My Mind's Eye O Christmas Tree paper, small Imaginisce acrylic stamp, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, Martha Stewart doilies, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

Greetings and Felicitations...

Sure enough, I can spot a glow of light through the nearest tree break. As we draw closer it is easy to make out the sparkling glass panes of a gorgeously gilded greenhouse. And inside is the lovely angel Felicity surrounded by a sea of radiant poinsettias. Felicity is a Christmas Angel with a love of beautifying and decorating her surroundings for the holiday season. She positively radiates love and good cheer as she ushers us all inside to warm ourselves for a bit. It is a magical experience and when we finally have to get a move on Felicity insists that we each take a bit of the holiday with us in the form of a pot of her pretty poinsettias.

And one lucky lady will also walk away with some special Christmas candy, take a look...
The Felicity candy kit includes; one Sweet November Angel Felicity rubber stamp, eleven 6x6 sheets of Making Memories Noel paper, small Studio G acrylic sentiment stamps, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, poinsettia die cuts, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement...
