Hi guys!
Yesterday was so busy that I didn't get a chance to even step in my crafty room let alone make a card. But I didn't want to have an empty Friday here on the blog so I'm throwing up a non-coloring card that I made recently. It's just a simple uni-sex birthday card with a fun astronomy theme. :)
Ok, gotta run... again. Have a wonderful weekend and I will see you all in March! ;)

Here for you...
Hey there!
I'm running behind this morning so this is gonna be a speedy post. I'm playing along in the MFT Wednesday Sketch challenge 217 and I used this sweet I Pick You Pure Innocence for my card. Because she is holding that lovely bouquet of flowers, I chose to pair her up with the Garden Party papers from Pebbles. Cutting those pretty papers into the banners from the sketch was a breeze since I used the stitched flag dies from MFT as well. Quick and cute, nuthin' wrong with that. ;)
Alrighty, I've really got to get moving.
Later gators!

Hello...
Hi-dee-ho!
What's this? Another Greeting Farm card already? Ya know... I hadn't planned on it but when I woke up to find this free gift digi for Super Secret Stamp Club members sitting in my in-box yesterday I had to print her out and make a card. I didn't notice a name ascribed to her so I'm calling this awesome girlie Mermaid Anya II. Since the papers I pulled to go with her seemed pretty neutral I had a lot of choices on how to color her up. In the end I went with a very Ariel inspired look. Love her, love her, love her... you know me mermaids and fairies just make me happy. So thank you Marie and TGF for this fun surprise and I will be sure to sign up for another three month term on March 1st for sure! :)
Ok, it's going to be a long day and I've gots to get myself ready for it.
TTYL!

Smile...
Olo!
O.M.Gee... how stinkin' adorable is this chubby little fairy from A Day for Daisies?! Her sassy self confidence caught my eye right away as I was checkin' out the ADFD store this past weekend and I just couldn't resist putting her in my cart and printing her out right away. She was just as insistent about getting on a card quickly as well so here she is in all her glory. I paired her up with this great jar paper from Dear Lizzy and some POW glitter cardstock to make the card sparkle as much as this fab fairy. And because there is so much sparkle and shine I'm going to enter this into the 'add some glitter' challenge over on the ADFD blog.
Well, I've gotta get a move on.

Cray cray adorbs...
Hello, hello again!
I can't believe we are starting the last week of February already. I'm giving myself these next few days to make a few more various cards because after that it will be time for Easter cards.
Today I've got a card for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at TGF. This week the theme is 'Pinky Pink' which leaves things pretty wide open so I went super girly. I had originally planned on using one of the SSC stamps but when I came across this Miss Anya from the Summer set something about her fun and flirty style had me choosing her instead. I paired her up with some old Love Elsie paper and embellies and these super fun sentiment stamps from Paper Smooches. I'll admit it... I've been known to use phrases like 'totes magoats' and 'cray cray' more than once or twice, so it was great getting something like that on a card. I know, I know... I'm such a nerd, LOL! :)
Alrighty friends, time to get ready for work.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see ya again tomorrow!

Favorite thoughts...
TGIF!
I think it is safe to say that I am finally over the worst of this cold... thank goodness! Yesterday wasn't great but I got a lot of rest and was coughing less and less as the day went on. At least I should be able to function at work for the next couple of days. :)
When I sat down to color yesterday I knew I wanted something quick, as my bed and an afternoon nap were calling me. And I realized that it has been ages since I inked up one of the stamps from my Sister Stamps collection. Lovely Minako hadn't made it onto a card yet so this seemed the perfect opportunity to rectify that situation. The papers were pulled from my scraps, which always feels great though I never seem to make a dent in them. Even though for some reason Minako's kimono looks kinda peachy in the photo she really is 'pretty in pink' in person. I enjoyed coloring her up so much that it has me hoping there are some new Sister Stamps coming out soon. Since we've already gotten mermaids you know I'm not so secretly hoping for some SS fairies... they would be totes adorbs! ;)
Ok, time for me to get this day started.
Have a great weekend and I'll see ya on Monday!

A moment with you...
Hi guys!
Well... still sick. Still miserable. I'm not working today because I just have to rest and hopefully get over this dang cold. I did get a super simple card done yesterday and here it is... I inked up Gorjuss Girl Ruby with her little kitty pal resting on her lap. Such a cute stamp and I'm pretty sure that this is the first time I've gotten her on a card. One sheet of paper, a bit of ribbon, and a sprinkling of flowers and this one was done. Which is good 'cause I didn't have the energy for much more than that, LOL! :)
And now I think I'm done too, gotta get back to bed for as long as my kitties will let me sleep.

Thank you...
Hey there!
I would love to say that I'm feeling so much better today and that I can't wait to go to work and tackle anything that comes my way... but if I did I would be a liar. Sigh... at least I'm not as knocked off my feet as I was yesterday, talk about a wasted day. I wasn't productive at all, the couch and I were best friends and I barely talked myself into leaving its cushy comfort to make this card. But as I got to coloring I was glad I did, with nothing better to do I was able to grab another stamp that I knew would benefit from some extra coloring time.
This is Isadora, she is part of the Sassy Sprites collection over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. She's actually been available for quite some time but I only just recently acquired her, and a couple of her friends, during a sale. They all have fabulous hair-dos that I've been dying to color up. Actually, if you look closely at Isadora's brow you can see that I did a bit of altering to wipe away the leafy diadem that she is originally wearing. It was super simple to draw in the missing hair lines. The only reason why I did this was because I thought the leaves looked very fall-ish and I wanted this to be a bright and cheery, spring looking card that I am entering in to the 'anything goes' Saturday challenge.
I pulled all my colors from the lovely Serendipity paper that I chose to pair with her and went to town. I had Isadora all colored up, all that was left was to add some BG000 to her wings and she would be ready to go on the card, when suddenly disaster struck! My BG000, which I had re-filled the day before, leaked a huge blob of blue on her back shoulder right where the wing meets her shoulder blade... ugh! After I had put so much work into coloring her I was not going to throw her out and start again. So I ended up grabbing N1, N2, and N3 to add shading to the entire image. This worked but she kinda looks a bit pasty now... I guess Isadora just needs some of that magical springtime sunshine to give her a healthy glow, LOL! :)
Oh and before I go, a little PSA for anyone who might be thinking about buying the new Heidi Swapp sentiment dies... I got this 'thank you' die in an online order and when I actually had it in hand I was surprised to see that the steel was completely coated in teal paint. Right away this had me concerned about its cut quality. And sadly when I used it yesterday my concern was not unfounded. I had to run it through my Cuttlebug several times with several different shims and even then I still had to hand cut some of the center free. Apparently they thought the 'cute' factor was more important than its practical application... boo!
Ok, time for me to load up on Dayquil and get myself motivated for work.
Toodles!

Hello there...
Mornin' friends!
Ugh, I've been knocked down by a wicked chest cold. It started yesterday with a nasty cough that just got worse the longer the day went on. Now I'm really thankful to already have today off too so that I can hopefully get over the worst of it before starting my work week. Unfortunately this didn't bode well for my to-do list but on the bright side I had a lot of free time to color while watching old episodes of Ancient Aliens, LOL!
That is why I finally decided to tackle this beautiful image from Sugar Nellie called Golden Nectar. That large flower she's sitting in has always intimidated me just a bit. So I settled down and got over my fear, especially after I found this old rose paper from Dear Lizzy... talk about great inspiration. I love how it looks like this sweet fairy has stopped for a rest in the middle of a rose garden and she's saying, 'hello there' to that butterfly who is also passing by. Since we are allowed 3 entries into the monthly Sugar Bowl challenge I'm going to be entering this card into the draw. The 'anything goes' theme makes it really easy, all you have to do is use any one of Sugar Nellie's fabulous stamps. :)
Alrighty, I'm going to grab the Kleenex and head back to bed for a bit.
Later gators!

Count your rainbows...
Hey there!
I hope the weekend treated you well. It's been beautiful and sunny here so I've been enjoying getting outside more. You'll hear no complaints from me with this early taste of spring.
So it isn't a surprise to see my cards leave the Valentine's theme behind and lighten up to reflect the warmer weather. Which actually made playing along in this week's Farm Fresh Challenge a bit trickier. The theme is 'Love is in the Air' and of course that seems to imply a Valentine. But instead I chose to focus on the air part of the theme and found a stamp that could fly through the sky. I settled on Butterfly Anya from the Spooky set because not only is she a cutie patootie but her wings kinda look like hearts which helped hit the love part of the theme as well. I colored her up in a pretty pastel rainbow of hues to match back to both the sentiment and that great washi tape. So even though I might be stretching things a bit this week the challenge really did inspire this entire card. :)
Well, I should get a move on... I have the day off but there is a mile long to-do list calling my name. Catch ya later!

Be mine...
TGIF everybody!
My final Valentine's Day card for the year is also for the Kraftin' Kimmie 'Peace and Love' challenge. I inked up Lana from the Old Hollywood collection and while I don't know how peaceful she plans on being, all decked out like that, I do know that she looks to be ready for love. ;)
I wanted everything about this card to look kinda glamorous. It doesn't show up well in the photo but the card base is a really pretty white shimmery cardstock which I paired up with some glittery gold and Valentine papers by Reminisce. I actually paper pieced her dress with some of the red paper that has a faux sparkle print to it, which turned out pretty cool if you ask me. I'm also inspired to actually try and color the same look sometime, it doesn't look like it would be too hard... hmmmm.
Ok, time for me to scoot. Have a lovely weekend and a fabulous Valentine's Day... I hope you get some yummy chocolate! :)

Hot diggety...
Olo!
I have to tell you, I have been waiting ages to get that 'hot diggety' sentiment onto a card. It's part of a larger set that has a bunch of different and unusual sentiments on it and I'm pretty proud of myself for working this one into a Valentine's Day card. Something about it seems to go perfect with this happy little Chihuahua from the SOG Hipster Pets set. He looks so jaunty, you just know he would be jumping up and down each time you walked through the door. And is that a raspberry kiss he is blowing with his tongue? LOL! ;)
The paper is one of those great cheater prints with the little 4x3 blocks, so I didn't have to do any of the work to get those banners and doily on there.
Well, there's not much left to say about this one... only one more Valentine's card to go. I'll see ya tomorrow with it. :)
TTFN!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- BoBunny (Head Over Heels)
stamps- Some Odd Girl (Hipster Pets set), Casual Fridays (sentiment), Mama Elephant (Purrfect Pair set)
ink- Memento tuxedo black and Versafine onyx black
Fancy Pants sequins
Sharpie white marker
Copic markers:
YR31, YR24, E30, E21, E33, R01, R12, T9

With love...
Good morning!
So I got this little cutie in the mail on Monday and I couldn't let Valentine's Day pass without getting her on a card. She's called Amor Anya from TGF and I don't think she could be any more adorable. The Greeting Farm and Doodlebug always make for a great pairing if you ask me so I didn't fight it on this card and went full tilt on the cuteness factor. Truly, if it wasn't for Doodlebug I would probably would never use my RV04, RV06, RV09 Copics... LOL! That pink polka dot background is actually a piece of printed vellum that I glued inside the die cut card front. This created a cool sheer background for Amor and all the Valentine stickers and doodads that I added to it. I'm so glad that I got Amor Anya in time to fulfill her Valentine destiny but don't be surprised if you see her on an upcoming spring card too because I've got some altering ideas already brewing in my head. ;)
Ok then, I've gotta get myself ready for work.

Have my heart...
Hey there!
I hope you aren't getting tired of Valentines because this entire week is going to be dedicated to getting the last of my happy heart day cards up on the blog before the big day on Saturday.
Today's card features the Loving Pixie digital stamp from Tiddly Inks and I'm entering it into the Tingo challenge over there as well. Tingo is Tiddly Inks Bingo and I went diagonal across the board to use dies and ribbon with Loving Pixie. For the dies I used a stitched circle from MFT and some Mini Hearts from Simon Says. I covered the hearts with glossy accents to give them a nice shine. And the ribbon is pretty obvious with that big bow right above Loving there. The paper is more Hugs and Kisses from Simple Stories and I'm really diggin' that black thrown into the mix. It makes for a pretty and modern looking Valentine's Day card. :)
Okey dokey then, I'm going to get ready for the day.

You and me...
Hello again!
It seems that my Monday posts here on the ol' blog are becoming dedicated to playing along in the TGF Farm Fresh Challenge. Because here I am again with a FFF card, this week's theme is 'Roses are Red'. I actually knew just the scrap of paper that I wanted to use since this old My Mind's Eye paper has such a pretty rose print on it. I just needed to figure out which stamp to use. At first I was looking at a couple of the SSC stamps because they have roses as part of the image but when I saw this cute couple from the My Sunshine set I ended up going in a different direction. Talk about feeling ambitious, what with getting two images on one card, but I did save myself some coloring time by paper piecing Anya's dress. I love how it turned out because I think it looks like she is wearing a beautiful vintage dress with that large floral print on the skirt. And Ian's quite the dapper dude himself, matching back to his lady love with his green sweater vest and cords. What a handsome couple they make as they hit the town on Valentine's Day. :)
Well, I had better get a move on. Thanks for dropping by!

luv u 2...
TGIF my crafty peeps!
Even though the boy card challenge is all wrapped up over at The Greeting Farm I ended up doing one more this week. Initially I had debated between Space Ian and Heart Ian for my entry so when I saw Heart Ian still sitting on my desk I figured now was as good as time as any to get him on a card too. I didn't have much of a plan until I came across this iPhone stamp and text bubbles and the idea of catching a glimpse at Ian's text messages would be fun and different. This was actually the first time I'd inked up this phone set and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed that it didn't include more blank text bubbles in both directions that could be customized. Since I had typed up my own text I ended up having to cut the sentiments out of a few text bubbles just so that I could use them. Ah well, it all came together in the end and it looks like Ian has a date for Valentine's Day... LOL. :)
Time for me to sign off for the weekend.
See ya Monday!

Tweet on you...
Hello, hello!
I'm playing along in another challenge today. It's 'anything goes' in the Sugar Bowl this month so I inked up this adorable stamp called Wonderful Day, which is part of the Scrapberry range over at Sugar Nellie. I wanted to use this pair for a fun Valentine so I did a slight bit of altering to the image on her shirt, turning it into a heart. And the paper isn't even from a Valentine collection but I thought the print matched the little hippie vibe this girlie is sportin' plus it brought in the green and blue to match her bird buddy. The sentiment is a compilation of two different stamp sets, the 'tweet' comes from a Simon Says set and 'on you' from a small set from Papertrey Ink. I think they work pretty well together if I do say so myself. ;)
Ok, time for me to scoot.
Later gators!

I ruff you...
Olo!
I don't have much time this morning so this will be a quick post. I made another Valentine's Day card and this one features the adorable Spot stamp from Some Odd Girl. He was perfect with that little heart right there on his collar. My crafting time was limited yesterday so instead of combing through bags of scrap paper or piles of paper pads I decided to grab a couple rolls of my under appreciated washi tape and put it to good use. The sentiment is a combo of stamps from two different Paper Smooches sets as I wanted a 'punny' play off of "I love you". Then I just took a white marker and faked the stitching around the edges to finish this clean and simple Valentine.
Alrighty, I've got to run.

Love is in the air...
Hey there!
Can you believe I didn't find a single thing to buy at the crafty store yesterday?! It's not like I went in with anything specific in mind but still, talk about disappointing. I always hope to find a little somethin' that might inspire a card or two but no such luck. Oh well, I guess it just gives me an excuse to go back and check again in a month or so.
Today I've got a card for the sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things. Of course I made another Valentine because hey, it's just that time of year. This go round I chose to ink up Love is in the Air Pure Innocence and paired her with paper from the Simple Stories Hugs and Kisses collection. I even did a bit of paper piecing with her shirt to really pull the whole thing together. I stayed pretty true to the sketch and even used an MFT stitched scallop border die to cut the bottom of the center panel exactly like the sketch inspiration. I also pulled out the white embossing powder for my sentiment which made me feel extra crafty, LOL! All in all, another cute and quick card that I am quite happy with. :)
Ok, time for hair and make-up.
Toodles!

Toodles!

To the moon...
Good morning!
Today I'm playing along in the Farm Fresh Challenge over at The Greeting Farm and the theme this week is "Boys Only". This was just the nudge I needed to break out Space Ian for a card that I've been thinking about doing ever since I got this fun sentiment stamp. It's been ages since I've inked up this little guy and this time I really wanted to try and color him so that it looked like there is a helmet visor over his face. So I used very light skin tones and the E80s for his hair because it has that slight greenish tone, then I used the cool greys right over the whole thing. I think I was fairly successful in achieving the look I was going for though if I had given myself more time I might have added some glossy accents as well to give it a nice shine. And since it is a boy card I really didn't want to fuss up the card too much. I pretty much had the whole thing done but it was looking like it was missing something. So I scanned my messy desk and found the Lawn Fawn Monster Mash set, that little blob monster made for the perfect alien pal to hang with Ian.
Alrighty then, I've got the day off but I have to make a quick trip to town to get an oil change in my car. Fun, fun... who knows though, I may just be tempted to check out Craft Warehouse while I'm there so that the trip doesn't feel like a total loss. ;)
Talk at'cha later!
