Good morning!
Another quick post today as I am already on the run. This super cute digital stamp is called 'Lady Bug and Me' and it's from A Day for Daisies. I couldn't resist this sweet duo when I spotted them in the shop and just had to get them on a card for the Lace challenge that is currently happening. Something about their pose had me wanting to keep the scene kind of peaceful and serene so I chose to ink the cloudy background with Scattered Straw instead of a blue ink to make it look like dawn or dusk. Then I lucked out and found this scrap of paper that had a great ladybug print on it which was perfect. After that the card came together super quickly. :)
Well, I've really got to go now so thanks for stopping by and I shall see you all tomorrow!

Yappy Birthday...
Hello, hello!
So my sister Tracy fosters rescue dogs and yesterday she had to take one of the dogs to meet his new potential owner in North Bend. That is about a three hour drive west from us and since I had the day off I offered to drive her and her pups there. The meet went well and it looks like the dog may finally have his forever home. Once that was done we turned right around and came back home but I got to stop in Wenatchee and do a bit of crafty shopping at Craft Warehouse before making the final leg of our trip. I found a bunch of great new dies and stamps that were on my wish list and some were even on sale... score! But boy, was I tired once I got home, in the last three days I have nearly driven the entire length of Washington state!
Luckily I had some new inspiration waiting for me at home with this stamp set from a new to me stamp company called Sugar Pea Designs. It is called Hot Diggity Dog and I love this funny little guy with his tail a waggin'! I thought he looked like a Wiener Dog so I gave him a cool black and tan colored coat. Then I just completed the scene with some clouds and a ball stamp from another set. Out of curiosity I looked to see if Sugar Pea runs a challenge and sure enough there is a sketch to play along with this week. So I'm entering my card into the SPDSS25 Sugar Sketch. It was just what I needed to pull this all together quickly but with style. ;)
Now I'm off to get ready for a long day of work.
TTFN!

Fluttering by...
Hey there!
Sorry about the rush post yesterday. I had a wonderful weekend and a great girls day out with my mom and sisters on Sunday. I didn't do any crafty shopping but I got some great deals on some new clothes and even found a dress and skirt that I had been hoping to get my hands on. Needless to say I am quite the happy camper. :)
For my card today I've colored up the Shy Fairy digital stamp from Some Odd Girl. Unfortunately I don't see her in the shop anymore so I couldn't link her up. I actually colored Shy Fairy up a couple days ago without having pulled any papers to go with her and once I found these old Making Memories scraps I was kinda kicking myself. Originally I had colored her skirt in a yellow and bright pink combo but once I had that floral print I needed to make some changes. So I added the orange over the yellow and I didn't get as nice a contrast as I would have if I had just started with orange in the first place and I also darkened the pink of the skirt to go a bit more purple. In the background I stamped the sentiment onto the purple paper and then free hand cut the swooshes following the curve and flow of the words. I really like the movement it adds to the over all design.
Well, thanks for stopping by and I'll see y'all tomorrow. :)

Thanks...
Good morning!
Yesterday was fantastic but long so I ended up sleeping in this morning... yikes! So I'll have to share about my trip tomorrow because I've barely got time to do this quick post for my card. Mondays seem to be my TGF Farm Fresh challenge days and I've got one for this week's 'Anything Goes' challenge. Day Off Anya seemed to have just the right attitude for this kind of laid back challenge. She's paired up with some random paper scraps that I pulled and a Paper Smooches sentiment that I stamped and fussy cut out.
Ok, sorry guys but I've really got to run!
Laters! :)

Frosting on top...
TGIF my friends and fellow card makers!
You didn't think I would make a cake for my sister's birthday and not make a card to match did you? That would be crazy, LOL! And you know I had just the stamp to make the perfect birthday card for Jac... this super sweet Dawn with Cake from Nellie Snellen. I even tried to make her cake look like a German Chocolate cake, though Dawn's looks much fancier than mine did. Though I'm happy to report that the real deal got rave reviews from everyone. But the best part of the night was surprising Jac with the news of a girls day out shopping trip to Spokane this weekend. We are all pretty excited to hit our favorite Chinese restaurant and have some major fun. :)
Ok, I'll see ya all on Monday. Have a fabulous weekend!

Dog-gone sweet...
Hi-ya folks!
I'm playing along in this week's sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things with a new Pure Innocence cutie that I just got my hands on. She's called Woof You and I couldn't wait to ink her and her puppies right up. I did a bit of altering to simply lengthen her pigtails which I think makes her look a bit older. The papers all come from the newer Homegrown paper pad by Pebbles which I chose because now she seems to be going for a neighborhood walk with her puppy pals.
Ok, I've got to make a run to the supermarket this morning because I've got to bake a German Chocolate cake for my sister's birthday today. Mmmm... my mouth is already watering just thinking about it. LOL
Talk at'cha later!

Chin up...
Hi-dee-ho!
I've got a super simple card to share with you today. Once again I've gone sans embellishments and am just relying on the stamping and coloring to pull this all together. I've inked up the bee-autiful baby bee from the the Penny Black Cute as a Bug set and colored her in yellows and browns to match that sweet bee paper up above. I really wanted to make her costume look soft and fuzzy just like a little bumble would be. I pieced the sentiment and that buzz line together from two different stamp sets because I wanted to mimic the curve of the paper down below on the opposing side, I think it adds a nice balance to the overall design of the card. Then I fussy cut a bee from the paper and added it as my lone embellishment but I really don't think this needed much more.
Well, I should go get ready for the day.
Later gators! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- EK Success
stamps- Penny Black (Cute as a Bug set), Mama Elephant (Say What set), October Afternoon (dashed line)
ink- Memento tuxedo black, Studio Calico (Doc Brown), Colorbox dark brown
Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen

Hello, sunshine...
Good morning!
I've got a bright sunshiny card for a bright sunshiny day. This gorgeous fairy is Melaina from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and I just love her heaping pile of hair. I knew she would be a blast to color and I actually jumped right in and started coloring her bright yellow hair before even picking out paper to pair up with her. Luckily I found this great Basic Grey print in my scrap bag that matched her hair perfectly and inspired me to give her a lovely green gown too. Melaina is such a show stopper that I kept the embellishments to a minimum but made sure that there was a bit of twine so that I could enter this card into this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Twine challenge. :)
Ok, time for me to get ready for work.

Hey there!
It's Monday so once again I am playing along in this week's Farm Fresh challenge over at The Greeting Farm. The theme is 'Pick 3' and I chose dies, enamel dots, and a Prima flower for the three types of embellishments to add to my card. This cutie here is Rose, whom I got from being a member of the Super Secret Stamp Club. Marie recently announced that these new girlies are part of the Gloomsberry Charm School line at TGF. Being the complete stamp nerd that I am I love that they now have a category of their own, like the Sprouts, Beans, Cheekies, and Creepers etc. It made my little heart happy to add this new collection name to the binder I keep them stored in.
The papers are a mix of scraps I had on my desk but I love how those colors pop against the black polka dot print. I guess these Gloomsberry girls like a touch of darkness, LOL!
Alrighty, I best be on my way now. Thanks for stopping by and I shall see you all manana. :)

Brightens my day...
TGIF my friends!
I've got the day off today and it is shaping up to be a gorgeous weekend here. Temps in the low 80s and the apple blossoms are blooming... I can't wait to get out there and soak it all in. It's even getting to the time of year when I can start thinking about all the flower pots around the house and what to plant. I think that is why I pulled out Mary, Mary Quite Contrary to ink up for this card I made for the 'Anything Goes' Kraftin' Kimmie challenge. Not that I personally get that decked out while diggin' in the dirt but she sure looks prim and pretty, LOL! For some reason Mary's dress looks more purple than pink in this pic but in real life it matches the light pink stripes in the background. I even used my Copics to color the edges of the little die cut butterflies so they matched the stripe paper as well.
Alrighty, I'm off for a quick walk with the pupper.
See ya Monday! :)

Friends are family...
Olo!
I was a lucky girl and won the last challenge over at A Day for Daisies and I got this totally adorable Tiny Pixie Leaf with my gift certificate. I couldn't wait to color her up because I really wanted to try my hand at making it look like her long brown hair had been wound up high on top of her head. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, she looks like a tiny little Rapunzel with all that hair, LOL!
I paired her up with a pretty floral print from Jillibean Soup so that this Tiny Pixie Leaf had a lovely garden to live in. And since the new challenge at ADFD is 'Anything Goes' I'm going to go ahead and try my luck and enter this card into the mix.
Now it's time for me to get a move on. Take care and I'll see ya tomorrow! :)

Wishing...
Hi guys!
So when I was pulling papers for my card yesterday I also found this whimsical dandelion paper from the same Vintage Blue collection and knew that I had the perfect stamp to pair up with it. This digital stamp is Fly Away Fairy from Some Odd Girl and I would link her up but sadly it looks like she has disappeared from the SOG store. This little fairy looks so full of joy as she catches a ride on the breeze that I wanted to color her up in some fun and different colors. Thus the dark blue hair and bright purple dress... I think it makes her stand out in a crowd, LOL!
Well, that is all I've got for ya today.
Hugs! :)

Hello...
Good morning!
Did you know that Sugar Nellie is having a Gorjuss Girl party in honor of the new GG release? And part of the festivities includes a special Gorjuss Girl challenge which I am playing along with today. I chose to ink up Sowing the Seeds GG since she hadn't made it onto a card yet. Originally she is holding a bucket in one hand but I trimmed it off when I fussy cut her out so now it looks like she is just dancing through the flowers. Speaking of those flowers, these Vintage Blue scraps are from my most favorite collection that WeR ever came out with. The piece of floral print in the background wasn't big enough to fill the card front so I grabbed the largest rounded stitched square die from MFT and cut it twice, layered the two pieces and covered the seam with that strip of blue. Now it looks like a large rectangle with a perfect 1/8" border around the card. I also custom colored those clear gems with a V06 Copic to get just the right shade of purple to match the paper. Can you tell I was feeling pretty 'problem solver creative' yesterday? LOL ;)
Well thanks for saying 'hi' and I shall catch you all on the flip side. :)

Blah, blah, blah...
Hey there!
My card today is for the "Oh So Girly" Farm Fresh Challenge over at The Greeting Farm. With such a broad theme as that I felt that I could do just about anything. So I flipped through all of my TGF stamps that had yet to be colored looking for the right inspiration. At first I was thinking of going with a cute Anya or one of the SSC characters but when I came across the sheet with the Creepers from the Twisted kit I knew I had a winner. It's been a long time since I inked up a Creeper and I always feel a lot of freedom to really have fun and get crazy with the papers and sentiments I pair up with them. This little girly in particular caught my eye and while she didn't come with a name I'm calling her Chloe because she looks like the character from that tv show 'Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23'. Which is probably why I gave her black hair too. I paired Chloe up with a classic favorite of mine... KI Memories. Back in the day KI could do no wrong in my eyes and I still have a stash of their papers that I tend to hoard more than use but I need to get over that because I still love them. In any case I think Chloe looks like she is up for a good time even if she doesn't have time to wish a happy birthday only a cheeky "blah, blah, blah". ;)
Well, thanks for dropping by and I hope your week is off to a great start!

One cool cat...
TGIF!
I'm enjoying a day off today and if it stays nice I'm thinking about taking a nice long walk with the pupper. I got a Fitbit at the beginning of February and it has been a great motivator for me to get out and move more.
As for today's card, it is more about hanging out inside on the couch than being in the great outdoors. I inked up the Zodiac Tiger from Sister Stamps and wiped away his stripes before stamping to turn him into a handsome house cat. Once I had him colored up I was kinda at a loss as to what papers to pair with him. I looked through a bunch of my scraps and didn't find anything I liked. Then I spotted a little pack of die cut tags from October Afternoon's Saturday Mornings collection and when I found that couch I found my inspiration. Which led me to grabbing the matching paper pack and finding even more chairs for this card. Honestly, when I first got this paper pack and flipped through it I couldn't imagine what I would ever use this chair print for. Now here I am absolutely having a blast with it. With two cats in the house I don't go a day without keeping them from clawing at the furniture or finding them curled up in my favorite spot on the couch. And I added the toy mice because my guys seem to hoard their toys under the couch as well. The sentiment is a compilation of a Technique Tuesday set and Paper Smooches... I love getting creative with my sentiment stamps like that. ;)
Okey dokey, have a fabulous weekend my friends and I shall see you on Monday. :)

Paw print on my heart...
Howdy folks!
I didn't begin this week with the intention of doing all animal cards but after three cards in a row I just had to see this through, LOL! So today I decided to ink up this adorable kitty from the MFT I Knead You set and play along in their weekly sketch challenge. Considering he's holding tight to that ball of yarn I thought it would be fun to mimic the look of string by layering a Scribbled Circle stamp and smaller Scribbled Circle die behind this sleepy kitty. It's like his dreams are filled with yards and yards of tangled fun. ;)
Ok, I've got another busy day ahead of me so I've got to get a move on.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Be the person...
Hello friends!
I've got more puppy love to share today with my card featuring the fabulous Hugs For Fifi stamp from Sugar Nellie. I was trying to color her friend Fifi to look like Lady from Disney's 'Lady and the Tramp' but I'm not 100% satisfied with the end result. Otherwise I'm quite pleased with how this card came together. The papers are a new 6x6 pad from Simple Stories called Enchanted and I picked them because I wanted more practice coloring with my BV Copics. Any excuse to play with purple these days seems to appeal to me and I gotta say, I think I nailed that shade from the papers. ;)
I'm also entering this card into the Anything Goes challenge over at The Sugar Bowl 'cause it's always fun to play along over there.
Ok, I'm outta here. TTYL! :)

Love mew...
Olo!
It looks like I'm off to an animal theme with my cards so far this week. Yesterday it was all about the dogs and today the kitties are the star of the show. I love this sweet digital stamp from A Day For Daisies called, A Lap Full of Kittens. Having two little furballs of my own I couldn't resist coloring up this scene. And yes I gave her brown hair like my own, and yes the litter of kittens are all black and white like my boys. ;)
I actually picked this old scrap of paper by SEI because the colors matched the sequins I wanted to use for the ADFD Sequin challenge. I thought the soft colors gave the scene a peaceful and serene kind of vibe.
Well, I should get myself ready for the day.
Catch ya on the flip side! :)

Fur-ever friends...
Hello, hello!
As much fun as I had making Easter cards I have to admit that I'm kinda glad to be moving on to other themes now. And my first one out of the gate is for this week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at The Greeting Farm. The theme is 'Spring Showers' and you can add clouds or rain to your card. As soon as I saw that I knew just what I wanted to use... this cloud background stamp by October Afternoon. It is actually a large 4x6 background cling stamp but I cut it up into about five pieces, some big and some small, to really use them in a customized way. And as for my character stamp I was just itchin' to ink up this pair of pals from the Furever clear set that I purchased last month. I did a tiny bit of altering to add a little nose to the girl's profile but that is it. I continued on adding the sidewalk and coloring in the grass and flowers to complete the entire Sunday stroll scene. No pretty papers, no embellishments even, just stamping and coloring which is not the norm for me. The sentiment is a combination of two different sentiments that came with the set. I have a tendency to cut apart my clear sentiments quite often so that I get more mileage out of them.
Alrighty, time for me to scoot my boot.
Talk at'cha laters! :)

Cute chick...
Good morning!
Today I'm shifting gears and playing with the super cute Lucy with Chickens from CC Designs. I did keep with the altering theme that has been going on this week and made a little change to Lucy. Originally she is holding a grown hen in her arms but I wanted a tiny Easter chick instead. So I wiped the hen away before stamping and drew in the chick and missing part of her arm. Why make this change you ask? Well, because I really wanted to use that sentiment stamp on a card this year too, LOL! :)
Ok, I've got to wrap this up and get a move on.
See ya tomorrow!

Hippity, hoppity...
Hey there!
This is gonna be a quick post as I'm in a bit of a rush this morning. Something about the middle of the week always has me feeling like I'm running behind... sheesh!
Anywho, can you handle one more Easter card for the Farm Fresh challenge? When I was searching through my stamp binder to find some Beans for my last two cards I spied these Lucky Bunnies and couldn't resist inking them up. Especially when I had this block from the Doodlebug paper that seemed tailor made for a few excited Easter bunnies. ;)
Ok, I'm outta here... catch ya later!
