Mornin'!
I've had that little scrap of old Chatterbox floral print paper for ages and even as small as it is I could never bring myself to chuck it in the garbage. Yesterday I finally decided to build a card around it once and for all. So I grabbed Blush Bebe from TGF, she's another Blush Society digi that I masked off her sad eyes and drew in new wide open eyes. I colored this pretty girl to match the paper, which just so happens to be one of my most fave color combos. I also used one of the new clear sentiment sets and coordinating die from TGF as well. The hello die was cut out twice, once in white and once in brown then I just cut them both in half so that the sentiment changed color as it went across the background. It's a simple CAS card and I am so happy with how it all came together. :)
Alrighty, time for me to scoot my boot!

Happy Halloween...
Hey there!
So yesterday I promised a little Gorjuss Girl Halloween fun and here she is. I chose to ink up The Getaway, not only because she is one of my newer GG purchases but more so because she is a chick with plenty of attitude. Then I found this scrap of moody looking night sky paper to pair up with her so I decided to forgo the traditional Halloween colors and put Getaway all in purple. She may be all alone on a dark, spooky night but this little girlie isn't afraid of anything that goes bump out there, LOL! I am also going to go ahead and enter this card into the current 'anything goes' challenge over at the Sugar Bowl. Hope you like it Tracey! ;)
Smooches!

Beware of spooks...
Hello, hello again!
So this past weekend my pal Tracey challenged me to turn a Gorjuss Girl into a Halloween image on one of my cards. I still plan on doing just that but when it came time for me to make a card yesterday you can say that I got a bit side tracked. I was looking through my file full of pre-stamped/printed images with every intention of finding the perfect GG but when I saw sweet Ava from Saturated Canary (I would link but she doesn't appear to be in the SC store anymore) I knew that Tracey would get a kick out of seeing her transformed into a colorful little Halloween cutie. I was imagining Wednesday Addams with her pale skin and dark hair and eyes but instead of a somber black frock I went with a riot of Halloween colors on all those layers of ruffles. As for embellishments, well I stuck with a few fussy cut pumpkins and a die cut black cat to keep Ava company. :)
Ok folks, gotta go. TTYL!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Cast a spell...
TGIF!
I can hardly believe this is the last Friday of September... crazy! Even crazier is that this is the first Bellariffic Friday challenge that I've gotten to play along with all month long. Better late than never though and hopefully I can make up for it with a super cute Halloween card starring the sassiest little witch I have ever seen, Tiny Townie Willow the Witch. The challenge is a sketch this week and I ended up following it pretty faithfully. Once again I had a great excuse to put this moon stamp to work and I gotta tell you, my Halloween cuties love basking in its glow. I decided to color up the chickies to instead look like pudgy crows, which is all fine and good until I colored the feathers on her hat black as well. Then I got to thinking... gee, I sure hope those two aren't wearing sheets because Willow plucked all their plumage just to make a fashion statement! Maybe this card is scarier than it first appears, LOL! ;)
Ok folks, I'm off for a fun filled day of coloring. Hope you get a chance to get creative this weekend too.

A good day...
Mornin' friends!
This turned out to be a bit of a throw back Thursday since I decided to revisit the adorable Playful Henry stamp from CC Designs. It's been a couple years since I'd last colored him up and it is always fun to see the different approaches and the progress I've continued to make in my coloring. For my card layout I wanted to play off the motion Henry is creating as he kicks his way through those leaves by die cutting and coloring a few more leaves to burst out of the frame. It was only after all that that I realized there was no room for a sentiment, which is nearly unheard of for an Amy card, LOL! But have no fear, I printed out my own sentiment for the inside of the card that reads, "It's a good day to have a great day". All in all I had a great time creating this card and it is a good reminder that as much as I love getting new stamps there are lots of treasures like Henry in my stash that I shouldn't forget about. ;)
Talk to ya later!

Autumn greetings...
Hi again
You didn't think I could leave it at only coloring up Ian from the Together Anywhere set did you? Of course not, this beautiful Miss Anya was just begging to take a fall stroll as well and who I am to deny her her fun? Because I love, love, love her this Miss Anya was deemed worthy of being paired up with one of my most favorite papers ever from the long defunct Scrapworks. I only have scraps of it left so the stamps I use with it have to be extra special. I know, I know... total paper nerd here, LOL! But didn't the card turn out simple but oh so pretty? Yep, I think so too. ;)
Well, that's all for today. Have a wonderful Wednesday! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Happy Fall...
Hi guys!
I've got a quick post for a simple card today. This handsome dude is Ian from the Together Anywhere set and I think he looks pretty darn slick. With his turtleneck sweater and long leather jacket I could just picture Ian visiting the country for a weekend and taking in a fall festival while he's there. I can't tell you how much I love these bigger My Guy Ians and Miss Anyas, while I was coloring this one up I couldn't help but hope that we see some new sets added to the TGF family sooner rather than later. Who's with me?
Alrighty, I'm totally running behind this morning and there is so much to do.
Talk at'cha later peeps!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- October Afternoon (Witch Hazel)
stamps- The Greeting Farm (Together Anywhere Ian), Lawn Fawn (Happy Harvest), Technique Tuesday (sentiment)

Moon and bat...
Hello, hello!
I know I said that I was trying to wait a few more weeks before jumping into Halloween cards but Friday's card apparently opened the floodgates. Here I am with another one already but in my defense it was the MFT sketch challenge that totally inspired me to go spooky once again. Seeing that big circle in the center of the card made me think of the moon and who would I put with the moon but a witch? So I grabbed the Witch Way is the Candy set and a new Hero Arts sentiment that I just love... talk about a match made in Halloween heaven, LOL! I heat embossed the big moon with white embossing powder onto a pretty purple scrap of paper and then did my best to color up this super cute witch in a way that made her and the bat look kind of back lit in moon glow. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out but will have to try it again to really nail the look. Practice makes perfect for sure! ;)
Alrighty, hope your week is off to a fantastic start!
Laters! :)

You best watch out...
TGIF my friends!
I'm rounding out this week's posts with a final card for the Kraftin Kimmie Koffee Krop challenges. Challenge number #3 is 'monochromatic' and as you can see I got a bit carried away with that, LOL! Since I had recently done a sepia toned image I figured this was a great excuse to do some black and white coloring and what better kind of stamp to use with that treatment than a Halloween image? Yep, that's right, mid September and I've officially made my first Halloween card of the year. I was trying to hold out longer but I have so much fun with them that I couldn't help myself. So I inked up Voodoo Lady because she looks muy misterioso, grabbed my whole range of Neutral Grey Copics and just went to town. By the time I was done I realized that I wouldn't need any pattern paper so this is almost another single layer card, go me! All I added for embellishment was a bit of washi tape and some brads. Oh and the magic dust she is sprinkling along with the spooky mist are actually quite sparkly in person... just couldn't pick it up with the camera.
Alrighty time for me to get this day started. Have fun and I will see y'all Monday! :)

Blessings...
Hello, hello!
Ok, I couldn't stop myself from entering more than one of the Kraftin' Kimmie Koffee Krop challenges so here is my second KK card for the week. I made this one for challenge #2 '1:1:1- one sentiment, one image, one layer'. This one was truly a challenge because I don't do single layer cards very often. Even on my CAS cards I'm always wanting to add bits and layers of paper here and there so this took some real restraint on my part, LOL! For my one image I chose Willow because I think she is just fabulous and I have neglected her for far too long. Then I knew that I would want a sentiment that balanced Willow nicely and added impact of its own to this simple design. Luckily I had recently gotten the Spooktacular sentiment set from KK and this one was perfect. And for my one layer I went back to the CC Designs Copic Quality ivory cardstock to keep the whole card nice and warm and fallish looking. All in all I couldn't be happier with how this card came together... even if my fingers are still twitching a bit to glue on some paper! ;)
Have a good one and I shall see ya tomorrow with one last KK card. :)

Cozy day...
Hey there!
I'm keeping things cozy once again though this time I'm jumping in to play over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Yesterday I went to check out what their newest Saturday challenge was and instead I found a whole slew of challenges that they have going on this week for their Koffee Krop. So I'm starting with challenge #1 'paper piecing'. As soon as I saw what the challenge was I knew just the stamp that I wanted to use... this sweet pair of napping buddies from the Feathers and Friends set. That blanket was just begging to be paper pieced with a pretty print don't you think? I decided to go with a CAS design for the rest of the card and I really like how soft and serene it turned out.
Okey doke, time for me to scoot. Later gators! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Basic Grey (Lemonade)

Feel better soon...
Hello, hello!
Temps have dipped again and I have officially pulled out the sweaters for the year, love it! It was so grey and chilly yesterday that when it came time to pick a stamp for my card Snuddle Anya was looking absolutely perfect for my frame of mind. I was totally wishing that I could get on my comfiest clothes, grab my softest pillow and favorite book then settle in to my favorite chair for the day. Alas, my schedule didn't allow for that so Anya here got to enjoy some down time instead. I paired her up with the chair from the Sitting Wonderful set and the pillow from the Sitting Cute set and some fancy wall paper looking paper to create a lovely living room for Anya to relax in. :)
Alrighty friends, have a good one!

Every happiness...
Good morning!
I'm back today with a card for the new ADFD challenge which is to 'frame it'. I've colored up the lovely Picked Bouquet digi and I just love her vintage charm. Surprise, surprise the floral paper that I paired with her is more October Afternoon and even though it is a floral print the colors have kind of a fall look. So I used those same pretty pinks, reds, oranges and yellows when it came time to color Bouquet. To fit the challenge requirements I chose not to fussy cut her and instead framed her in that matching yellow cardstock and I didn't stop there... the little sentiment needed a pink frame as well, which was easily done with a pink Copic. ;)
Well, that's it from me today. Thanks for stopping by and I'll catch ya on the flip side! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- October Afternoon (Farm Girl), Crate Paper (green)

You are special...
TGIF everybody!
We are currently experiencing a bit of an early fall heat wave which I'm finding kinda hard to adjust back to. I mean only a couple days ago I was just about to pull out the sweaters and jackets! Oh well, I should enjoy it while it lasts because I really don't want to think about how soon the snow will start falling... eek!
I found this 'big head' digi called Ribbon from SOG just sitting on my desk and I figured she would make for an elegant fall-ish card. As I was finishing up coloring her I started to feel a bit of deja vu creepin' up. Which got me searching through my finished cards and sure enough, there she was on a card I had made in July. At first I was a bit concerned that it might be too recent and that I should color up something else to share but then I figured it could be fun to see the difference between my summer and fall versions of the same stamp. So here is Ribbon part deux. It's kinda funny that I ended up using Basic Grey papers on both cards, I guess it has the right look for this lovely lady. ;)
Ok friends I'm outta here. Have fun this weekend and get crafty! :)

Note to self...
Hi-ya!
So this past weekend I took advantage of the Labor Day sale over at The Greeting Farm and got a few digis that I had been thinking about for awhile. This little chickie, Blush Becky was one of my purchases. The reason why I hadn't gotten her earlier is because while I love the style of the Blush Society girls I'm not crazy about their sad eyes or noses. When the stamp is rubber that isn't a problem because it is easy enough to wipe away the ink and draw in new happier looking eyes. But with Becky being a digi and all I was a bit stumped on how I could change her up. I'm sure that it can be done in some kind of photo shop program but I am more hands on than that. Then it hit me, if I printed her on regular copy paper first then layered my Copic X-Press It over top I could cut some tacky masking tape in place and then run it through the printer. Once it printed all I had to do was peel away the tape and the spaces on her face were blank, ready to be altered. Sure it was a bit of work but totally worth it. :)
Ok gals, I'll talk at'cha later!
Supply list:

Choose joy...
Olo!
I'm running behind this morning so I've got to keep this post short and sweet. It's another day, another challenge... and I made today's card for the 'anything goes' challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. So I grabbed this gorgeous Fairy Glen digi called Dreams & Wishes and again chose a fall color combo that avoided the obvious oranges and reds. This time I mixed gold, green and brown. It's different but still pretty I think. Plus the kraft card base definitely keeps the overall design looking very natural and fall-ish.
Alrighty, gotta run. Laters! :)

Thank you...
Mornin' friends!
I made today's card for the current challenge over at A Day For Daisies which is 'add some plaid'. I absolutely adore this sweet image called Puppy Sitter and I figured she would work for an early fall kind of card. First off I had to find the right plaid to base my color palette around and when I spotted this scrap of October Afternoon paper it was an absolute yes. With all of the orange, reds and yellows that I've been doing, and will continue to do, this paper gave me an opportunity to play with blues and still be on target seasonally. And yes, those are the Color Layering trees again though I changed things up a bit and used green and yellow ink for the leaves. Then I got to thinking that it would be really cute if I had this sweet girl taking her puppies for a walk in the apple orchard so I used a tiny hole punch on a bit of extra rubber and jabbed it with a stick pin so I could stamp random red apples on to the trees. Ahhhh... perfect. ;)
Okey dokey, I've got to get moving. Talk at'cha later! :)

May your birthday...
Hello everybody!
Guess what I got in the mail Saturday? That's right, new stamps! First was the newest Stamp Club stamp from The Greeting Farm and she is an adorable Wild Sprout called Blaire. My second little package was from Hero Arts and included the new Color Layering Fall Trees set that I just had to play with right away. I gotta tell you, I had so much fun with this one... not only did I do the layering on the tree tops but I also cut myself a slightly wavy mask and repeated the stamping down below to create the illusion of the fallen leaves on the ground. It is doing stuff like that when I feel the most creative, LOL!
And what can I say about Blaire but keeey-ute! I loves me some Wild Sprouts so any new addition is welcome but I am tickled to finally have a rubber WS with glasses. I am going to have so much fun head swapping this little chickie in the future. But for this card I continued on with the fall theme I've got going on and colored her to match. I think Blaire kinda looks like she is dressed up for the first day of school. :)
Later gators!

Autumn blessings...
TGIF everybody!
Mmmm... the weekend. I can't wait to enjoy a couple days relaxing and enjoying this cooler weather we've been having. Sure I will spend some of that time walking the dog and getting a bit of exercise in the great outdoors but nothing beats donning some warm socks and yoga pants and spending quality time in the crafty room. Once again I have hit a point where my desk needs a good cleaning and I really want to gather a bunch of fall/Halloween papers and embellishments together so I have them all in one place. That should make the creative process easier for the next couple months.
My card for today features the super cute Tiny Townie from Stamping Bella called Fay Loves Fall. I fell head over heals for her as soon as I saw her, the apples, that pumpkin... what's not to love? When it came time to stamp Fay up I actually changed up my routine a bit and ditched the Copic X-Press It because I remembered that I had some ivory colored stamping cardstock from CC Designs still in my stash. It's been a long time since I pulled it out but the results are so pretty that I am already planning on using it on more fall themed cards this year. The papers are a mix of old October Afternoon and even older Creative Imaginations that I found in my bog o' scraps. All together I think this makes for quite a pretty fall greeting card. :)
Ok, I'm outta here. Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Oh happy day...
Olo!
It's been a while since I've joined the fun over at the MFT challenges so my card today is remedying that situation. The layout of this week's Wednesday sketch challenge really caught my eye and got the creative juices flowing. So I pulled out Wish You Were Here Pure Innocence and got to coloring. I did a bit of altering to lengthen her hair and give her a slightly older look but she's still as sweet as can be. I used colorless blender and a terry cloth rag to give her sweater a soft fuzzy look and a bit of denim on her jeans for texture as well. Her puppy pal is actually from the Woof You set and I altered him as well by just drawing in a shorter snout so he looked less like a beagle. A fun bit of old leaf paper by Imaginisce pulls the whole scene together, and looking at it makes me want to go pull out all my sweaters now, LOL! ;)
Alrighty, thanks for so much for stopping by and I shall see you all tomorrow! :)

Hello...
Hey there!
Yep, I've got another Greeting Farm card to share today but I couldn't help it because I am just so excited that Wild Sprout Amber is officially out there now. If you've been a follower of my blog for any length of time you probably know that I am quite fond of the Wild Sprout line of stamps at TGF. About eight years ago I had the honor of styling four Sprouts; Chelsea, Ruby, Gigi and Stella. Since then there has been Gracie and Addy and now Amber has joined the TGF family as well... I'm totally doing a little happy dance here. How do you get your hands on Amber you ask? Well she is a free digi that you automatically get when you sign up for the Oct-Dec Super Secret Stamp Club by Sept. 5th. How awesome is that?!
Even though Amber is sportin' a sleeveless top I figured that she would still work for a late summer/early fall looking card. I found the perfect paper in my stash to set the scene, it's old BoBunny and I love how it mixes the browns and oranges of fall with the touches of aqua and pink. Of course I had to give Amber an outfit to match and I think she looks quite spiffy. ;)
Alrighty, I'm outta here. Have a good one my friends!

Nuts about you...
Good morning!
It's the first of September and I'm callin' it... fall is here! It doesn't even matter if the temps rise again for a bit because it's the consistent over night cool down that makes me feel the change of the seasons. It is also making the leaves start to turn yellow in the birch trees bringing a new color palette to my little outdoor wonderland. Gotta love that. ;)
Which also means I am officially transitioning into full blown fall and Halloween cards on the ol' blog. I've been waiting to take Amor Anya and do a bit of altering to turn her in to a more generic looking little gal by wiping the hearts off her hat and changing her heart purse into a regular satchel. I just love her hat and even took a scrap of terry cloth and some colorless blender to give it a soft and fuzzy texture, kinda like Anya is sporting a fleece cap. I paired her up with one of my favorite wood grain papers from October Afternoon and the Autumn Acorns stamp set from Papertrey Ink because it just happened to be sitting on my desk. The leaves and acorns gave the card the outdoor touch that I was going for but it still felt like something was missing. I toyed around with a variety of different embellishments but nothing was working. Then I remembered this Frisky Squirrels die by Memory Box that I picked up this past spring and I knew I had a winner. Once I colored a couple of them up with my Copics this fall scene was complete. :)
Laters!
