Always & Forever...

It's February 1st and that means a brand new Farm Fresh Challenge is underway at The Greeting Farm! As you know a new challenge is issued at the beginning of every month over on the TGF blog and this time we want to see you add 'A Touch of Red' to your creations. February is the month of love so why not ink up your most loved TGF stamp and play along for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate? Better yet, treat yourself to a new digi that you've fallen in love with from the store and get creative!

For my Touch of Red card I printed out two Wild Sprout digis, Dressy Joyce and Dressy Daniel, to make a lovey couple. If you ask me they look like they are dressed to the nines for a romantic Valentine's dinner date. I kept the card design clean and simple with just the frame of pretty red paper around the edge. And the touches of red in Joyce and Daniel's outfits were colored to match.

Later gators!  :)

Hello...

TGIF!

I'm heading off to spend the day coloring with a friend so I'm one happy chica this morning. Sure, the forecast is predicting a rain/snow mix but through the power of positive thinking I'm hoping that it is just rain for my drive.
So today felt like a Saturated Canary kind of day, probably because I've been wanting to color up this beauty for a few months now but had to wait 'til we got a bit closer to spring to get her on a card. This lovely little gal is called Ribbons Fairy and she is quite magical. I paired her up with some bright and beautiful papers by We R Memorykeepers because the roses and sunshine are really appealing to me at the moment. The color scheme turned out to be a refreshing change of pace from the Copics I have been pulling. It's always good to shake things up a bit.  ;)

Well, I'm outta here. Have a great weekend everybody!

Sweetheart...

Good morning!

I've got a CAS card to share today that I made for the current challenge over at A Day For Daisies. The challenge is to "stitch it up" so I grabbed a big stitched rectangle die to add some faux stitching along the border of the image. Speaking of which, the image is a darling freebie that was offered up on the ADFD blog awhile ago which I thought would be perfect for a sweet Valentine's Day card. I printed these two nice and big so that they would fill up most of the card then colored them in pretty shades of red and pink. There is actually a whole lot of glitter going on since I made their wings sparkly with Wink of Stella but the photo just doesn't capture it unfortunately. Then I used some small pearls to dress up their 'dos and sprinkled a few around the sentiment for good measure too.  ;)

Okey dokey, time to scoot. Have a good one everybody!

Loads of love...

Hiya folks!

I have been just itchin' to make this card for ages but had to wait until I could get my hands on the Squeaky Clean stamp set from Paper Smooches before it could all come together. The laundry room background is totally inspired by this crazy creative card that I found on Pinterest. As soon as I saw it I wanted to stamp up my own laundry room so that Hope & Grace Laundry would have the perfect place to live. It got even better when I found this sentiment in my stash because I'm always a fan of a good pun, LOL! Apparently this is my year for quirky, off beat Valentine's Day cards.  ;)

Thanks for stopping by today, see ya manana!

Talk nerdy to me...

Hey there!

I've got a busy day ahead of me so I have to post and run this morning. I've had this fun sentiment stamp for quite some time just waiting for the right character to pair it up with. As soon as Anya Nerds Out was released a few months back I knew I had a winner. In fact I think she just may be my new favorite Big Time Anya and those cute glasses totally have me wishing that we get a nerdy Big Time Ian someday soon. Anywho, I really wanted to make a quirky Valentine with Anya and this is what came together from my scrap bags. Clean and simple and it doesn't take itself too seriously.  ;)

Alrighty, have a good one everybody!

Stitched with love...

Hello again!

So this weekend I stopped by my semi-local crafty store and found the Baaah Humbug set by Lawn Fawn on Christmas clearance for 70% off. With those kinds of savings how could I resist such a deal? Especially when I really started looking at the accessory stamps that are included in the set and thought about how I could use them with my Greeting Farm stamps. The little knitting needles really got the ideas spinning and as soon as I got home I hit the crafty room and looked for the perfect Anya to turn into a Knitting Anya. And wouldn't ya know, Sitting Lovely Anya was everything I was hoping for. I don't even consider this altering because all I had to do was glue the knitting needles right over her hands. I stamped her on to the Sitting Casual chair and used the ball of yarn stamp to give Anya plenty to work with. Once I gave her a comfy room to relax in something still seemed to be missing... aha... Anya needed a kitty friend! Luckily I've printed out rows of the sweet Hallo Bean kitty so it was an easy fix.  ;)

Ok, time for me to get ready for work.
Later gators!

Thinking of you...

TGIF my friends!

I'm really hoping that I can make it out of the driveway later this morning because the snow and rain has turned it into a sloppy mess. Sigh... have I mentioned how done I am with all this snow already? LOL, yea I'm a bit of a whiner today. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that the ten day forecast was right when it predicted partly sunny skies today.
Speaking of sunny skies... this golden haired princess was calling my name when I sat down to create yesterday. Can you believe I've had Rapunzel here waiting to get inked up for ages now and I can't even think of an excuse as to why it took this long to get her on a card. She's such a beauty and I couldn't resist going with colors similar to the Rapunzel in Tangled, pretty in purple is a good description I think.  ;)

Alrighty, time to get going. Wish me luck on the driveway situation!  :)

A sweet hello...

Olo!

So I'm officially giving up on trying to stick with one season or the other for my cards these days, LOL! When I sat down to create yesterday I tried to steering away from this amazingly cute little girlie with the flower in her hair but I just couldn't do it. She is a recent Secret Stamp Club release from The Greeting Farm, that I think I got back in December and her name is Shana... LOVE her! And I knew I had the perfect paper to match Shana's flower which of course led me to this cheery color combo for her as well. I can feel the sunshine when I look at this card, either that or it is my wishful thinking after days and days of snow, fog and rain... ugh! Even if I do make some more winterish cards that doesn't mean I'm not firmly ready for spring to arrive.  :)

Well my friends, thanks for stopping by today!

Sending you happiness...

Hi guys!

It looks like I'm right back to more winter inspired cards today but I really wanted to participate in this week's Bellariffic Challenge. It is a color combo themed challenge of dark teal, aqua, red, grey and white which seemed totally wintery to me. Plus it gave me a chance to stamp the gorgeous Uptown Girl Quinn and her Boots and get her on a card before the seasons really change. With a bit of fussy cutting I was able to give Quinn a cool winter woodland background to set the scene using an old favorite paper from Echo Park. Then all I had to do was cut a couple die cuts in red for a bit of pop and this card was done. And have I mentioned how nice it is that the Bellariffic challenges now use an inlinkz so I don't have to wait for Fridays to post my Stamping Bella cards? Yea, it's the little things that make my day, LOL!

Toodles!  :)

Birthday wishes...

Hello friends!

You might be thinking that it is too early for such a bright and sunny spring inspired card... and you'd probably be right, LOL! But when the skies are grey and the snow is piled up to your knees spring dreaming can hit you hard. So when I saw Anya Blooms in my stamp binder with her short ruffled dress and carefree attitude I just had to ink her up. I paired Anya up with a scrap of pretty floral paper by Pebbles and pulled all my Copic colors from it. I'm especially happy with how her dress turned out. And I gotta say that it was quite refreshing to raid my flower stash again and trade in the snowflake punch for butterflies.  ;)

Ok time for me to scoot.
Talk at'cha later!  :)

Warms my heart...

Good morning!

How about we start this week with a little love? I've been hanging on to this sweet I Heart U Gwen digi from Some Odd Girl for awhile now and I'm finally getting her on a card... yeah! I had such a blast coloring her up, from her curly hair to those big blue eyes, I'm just so pleased with how she turned out. I paired Gwen up with an old piece of Love, Elsie paper because it seemed to fit her playful attitude to a T. As I was putting the finishing touches on the card and finding the perfect sentiment it turned into more of a Gal-entine's Day card rather than a Valentine's Day card but either way it's all about showing the love.  ;)

Alrighty friends, hope your week is off to a great start.

I couldn't resist inking up the cutie unicorn from the Magical Friends set once again but this time I paired her up with the castle from the Ever After Bean set. I think it makes for a fun and different kind of look plus it got me to pull out a white color pencil for the first time in ages. :)

All sorts of wonderful...

Good morning!

I'm getting this card in just under the wire but I really didn't want to miss a chance to play along in the 'anything goes' challenge at A Day For Daisies. Dot's Bear is another super cute image that I had pulled for my Christmas crafting but I didn't quite get around to it in time. Still, I didn't want to miss my chance at coloring up that little cub like a polar bear so a winter theme it was. Considering we are still getting snow almost every day you can say the inspiration was right outside my window. ;)

Ok, I've got to run. Thanks for dropping by and saying hi!  :)

Happy Easter...

Olo!

Well here we are at the third and final day of January previews for The Greeting Farm. It's not too early for a bit of Easter sweetness is it? I'm sure that the new Eggstra Special clear set will have you anxiously awaiting all things spring. This set has everything... cute bunnies, fluffy chicks, colorful eggs, carrots, tulips, jellybeans, the whole shebang! There are so many great little images that I wanted to use as many as I could on my card. A great way to do that was by giving each image its own small panel to fill. Then I just glued them down in a grid and decided to even keep the card square as well.

Alrighty, you know the drill... be sure to head on over to the TGF blog for even more Eggstra Special cuteness from the Farmers. And don't forget that the entire release will be available for purchase on the 15th!  :)

Rainbows and Unicorns...

Hello there!

Today is day 1 of the January stamp release from The Greeting Farm... woot, woot! We have three fantastic sets coming out this month and I just adore each of them but I gotta say that this first clear set is my most favorite of all! Take a peek at the new Magical Friends clear stamp set that will be available for purchase on the 15th... I mean could they be any cuter?! I've used the little pegasus and unicorn, along with the coordinating dies, for my card today but there is also a sweet pony included in the set as well. They remind me so much of the My Little Pony days of my youth that I had to color these sweeties in some cheerful colors just like the toys I used to play with for hours on end. This card was so fun to make and it feels like a total blast from my past, LOL!

Now be sure to head on over to the TGF blog to see all of the super cute cards from my fellow Farmers using the new Magical Friends set and I shall see you back here tomorrow with more sneak peek fun!  :)

XOXO...

TGIF!

I'm excited to have a day off and the weather is cooperating enough that I can make a trip to town to visit some friends. It will be so good to get out of the house for awhile and have some fun. For my card today I dug out another oldie but goodie stamp that hasn't seen ink in ages. This Miss Anya from the Love set has always been a fave because I love her curled pigtails... so cute! And since Valentine's Day isn't too far off she seemed to be the perfect choice to jump start my happy heart day cards for the year. :)

OK, I've got to get myself ready to go. Have a great weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday with some super fun TGF previews!

Winter be warm...

Good morning!

I've made a card for the first Sugar Bowl challenge of the new year and as always the theme is 'anything goes'. I grabbed an oldie but a goodie stamp from Sugar Nellie called Furry Friends and sadly, I couldn't even find it in the store to link up to anymore. Originally I had planned on using this sweet pair of polar pals on a Christmas card but it didn't happen. I really didn't want to wait a whole 'nother year to color them up so I decided that a birthday card was the way to go. So I paired them up with a sentiment from Papertrey Ink and some pretty paper from BoBunny... perfect for a cold January birthday.  :)

Alright, gotta run... talk at'cha later!

A latte birthday wishes...

Olo!

Today is my first day posting over on the TGF blog and I'm excited to be sharing eight different hair color combos for blonde hair using six Copic markers. The idea is being called Anya's Salon and Marie has even added a brand new Blonde Anya digi to the store just for the occasion, how cool is that?! So if you would like to see what Anya's Salon is all about head on over to The Greeting Farm blog today and check it out.
For my card I colored up Blonde Anya with the Toffee Nut combo but I also wanted to give her a body. So I grabbed Latte Anya and did a super simple head swap. Now Blondie is sipping her favorite latte just trying to keep warm during these cold winter days all while still looking oh so stylish, LOL!

Have a good one everybody!  :)

My favorite...

Hello friends!

The winter theme continues as I continue to feel snowed in here. We got at least another foot of snow yesterday and cabin fever may be setting in just a bit. I've got plenty of winter stamps to help me keep a positive attitude towards all this white stuff and I chose this cute Snowman Tobie digi from Some Odd Girl for today's card. I printed him out at a pretty good size so that he and his frosty friend would really be the stars of the show, which was important since I knew there wouldn't be a lot of extra frou frou in the design. Clean and simple was the way to go with this masculine card. I colored Tobie up nice and bright to add some playfulness along with a cool stitched edge that leads the eye to the sentiment. All in all a fun little card that makes me smile.  :)

Alrighty, time for me to get busy.
Catch ya later!  :)

Hugs...

Good morning!

I hope the new year is treating everyone well. We have been ringing it in with a fresh powdering of snow and some freezing cold temps. This hasn't been so great for my intention to get out and start walking more but it is perfect for spending some quality time in the crafty room. This card is a result of that time and I'm sure you can see the inspiration I pulled from my surroundings, LOL!
I inked up the darling Valerie with Snowman stamp from Stamping Bella for my card and while I love this image I'm not super crazy about images that have the hair inked in dark, giving you no choice but to have dark hair on your character. What can I say... I like have options! So before stamping I wiped away the inside of Valerie's hair leaving only the outline. Then I penned in a few wispy strands for definition and voila... a blank head of hair that I could color any hue I pleased. Once that was done the card came together super quick with its pretty pastels and these two freezey friends.  :)

Thanks for stopping by... ta ta!
