Falling for you...

Hey there!

Can you believe it's November 1st already? That means today is all about a brand new Farm Fresh Challenge at The Greeting Farm! As you know, a new challenge is issued at the beginning of every month over on the TGF blog and this time around it is...  'Fall Colors'. All I had to do was take a peek out the window to spy the gorgeous red, gold and russet hues for inspiration. And with such a wide open challenge you can choose any number of the fabulous stamps from the TGF store to create a fall colored project! Playing along just might win you a $50 gift certificate!

For my card I stamped up the retired Special Autumn set because I had this fantastic fall scene paper from the Carta Bella Autumn paper pad and I knew that these two would look perfect visiting the pumpkin patch down on the farm. It provided all the fall colors I needed plus I colored Anya and Ian to match. I bet this cute couple go home with the biggest pumpkin they can find. :)

Alrighty friends, have fun with this one. I can't wait to see what you create!

Spooktacular...

Happy Halloween!

Tonight's the night and I'm ready for any trick or treaters who come my way. Witch's hat... check. Black kitties lounging around... check. Bowl of candy... check. Such a fun holiday! Of course I had to make one last Halloween card for this 2016 season and Wraith Mae from Some Odd Girl had the honor of wrapping it all up. She seemed to be the perfect choice for the 'black and white' challenge that is part of Oddtoberfest. I stamped the castle behind her in light grey so that this ghostly girl had a proper place to haunt. I'll admit it was kinda hard sticking to a strictly black and white palette as I kept wanting to add just a bit of color here or there. But in the end I think the restraint paid off and the card ended up with a sense of drama that it wouldn't have otherwise. :)

Spook ya later!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It

Spooky...

TGIF everybody!

Well here we are at Halloween weekend already, sheesh... where did the month go? I really wanted to get another Roberto's Rascals on a card before the holiday was long gone and this time I inked up the li'l skeleton from the Creepy Crawlies set. He looks so happy and excited for the big day just dreaming about all the goodies to be had. I paired Mr. Bone Jangles up with paper and washi tape from the Doodlebug Boos and Brews collection. I really love this eyeball paper and think it gives the card a haunted house party kind of vibe.

Ok friends, have a fun and safe Halloween!  :)

Happy, happy...

Hey there!

When I got my hands on these adorable bats from Impronte d'Autore I knew that I wanted to use them on Halloween cards. To make that work I did a bit of altering because the original image has him offering a strawberry to his sweetie, which isn't very Halloweeny. It was easy enough to fussy cut the strawberry off and replace it with the October cupcake from the Papertrey Ink Baker's Dozen set. If that isn't the perfect treat after all the Halloween tricks that I'm sure these two have perpetrated, I don't know what is. ;)

Ok, time for me to get ready for the day.
Catch ya on the flip side!

Spooky, creepy...

Olo!

Another day, another Halloween card made for another challenge. This one is for the 'Spookalicious' challenge at Tiddly Inks and I printed out the new Halloweeny Molly for the occasion. I mean who can resist all that glorious hair, it was so much fun to color. She's such a magical little witch that I was inspired to pull out a stencil and inked up a glowing background for her to bask in. Then I added some pretty glitter paper and glitter bats for added sparkle and the card really came together. I think that Molly is sure to cast a spell on anyone who might get this card in the mail.  ;)

Toodles!

Wicked Halloween...

Hi gals!

It's the last week before Halloween and I am in full spook mode. Today I am playing along in the Kraftin' Kimmie 'Halloween' challenge. Vampire Queen had been inked up and ready to get on a card for quite some time so I decided this was her year. Right away I knew that I wanted to pair her up with this great moon stamp from Altenew and then I came across this tombstone border stamp in my stash and the light bulb went off. How creepy, cool does this royal vampire look as she sashays her way through the cemetery? I know that I would most certainly want to avoid catching her gaze on a moonlit night... yipes! What a fun scene this was to create.  :)

Well, time for me to scoot...

Dance and gleam...

Hello, hello!

I’ve got a sweet Halloween card to share with you today. There are certainly many fantastic Halloween stamps and digis to be found in the TGF store but it can be just as much fun to take a character that wasn’t intended for the holiday and transform them into a terrific trick or treater. That’s what I did with little Joni from the Hatter Bean kit. The over-the-top costumes of these quirky Beans, with their top hats and exaggerated adornments, make them super easy to color into Halloween cuties. I then added the happy pumpkin from the Peek a Boo set so that Joni would have a friend to keep her company, plus I liked how it tied in to the sentiment that I chose for the card. I also cut the strip of pattern paper to the same width as the sentiment to keep the design nice and tight down the center of the card.

Ok, hope your week is off to a great start!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It

Black cats prowl...

TGIF!

I am running way behind already this morning so I am totally posting this on the fly. These two cute Halloween kitties are from Impronte d'Autore and I really fell in love with them because they remind me of the Sister Stamps cat stamps that I still miss so much. I don't know if it is the same artist behind both companies but either way these sweet stamps have stolen this crazy cat lady's heart. Sure, it's another CAS card from me but I didn't want to distract too much from the little scene that I had created.

Ok, that was short and sweet... take care everyone!  :)
Supply list:

Happy Halloween...

Hello again!

Oddtoberfest is still going strong over at Some Odd Girl and I've made this card for blog challenge 2 'let's party'. I imagine that this sultry Vampiress is all dressed up and making her way to a wild and wicked Halloween party. Perhaps she even is a real vampire and she is using this over-the-top costume as a ruse to get close to her partying prey... bwahahahahaha! Yea, it looks like she has way more tricks than treats up her proverbial sleeves. The background is cut from a single sheet of October Afternoon paper which I then stamped the stitches and sentiment directly onto. You can't beat that kind of time saver when you're a lazy crafter like myself.  ;)

Ok then, time for me to scoot. Have a good one!

Candlelight...

Hey there!

I found an old jump drive that I thought I had lost a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised to find a few digis floating around on it. This old, but still super sweet, Birdie Brown digi called Midnight Pumpkin Wishes was one of them so I figured she had waited long enough to get on a card. The sentiment came from the Pebbles Trick or Treat paper pad that I chose to pair up with her and it inspired me to draw jack o'lantern faces on the pumpkins so they could glow too. For the glowing background I sponged yellow ink onto the card base then sponged some black around it. I'm really happy with how the whole scene came together to create a not-so-spooky Halloween card. :)

Be scary...

Hello again!

Today I've made a card to play along in the new challenge over at The East Wind. The theme is 'bump in the night' and while you would think that meant Halloween, it's actually a clever title for an embossing challenge. I decided to do a little of both and created this Halloween card using the lovely and mysterious looking Lucy Loo Hair digi and a spider web embossing folder for the background. Is she a sultry witch or maybe a glam vampire? Who knows, but she is definitely offering up trouble with that bottle of poison. ;)

Alrighty, busy day ahead... talk at'cha later!

Hocus pocus...

Good morning!

The Halloween cards keep rolling along and today I'm using a couple of ghostly cuties from the TGF Peek a Boo set. The witch and the cat seemed like a natural duo to pair up and I figured that they definitely needed a house to haunt. This gave me the perfect excuse to pull out the ol' Cute Cottage die by Memory Box and build a crazy colorful home out of Doodlebug paper scraps. The mini size of the ghosts made them the perfect fit to glide in and out of the doors and windows. I also used the happy pumpkin from the set to add a bit of decor to the front porch. I think the end result puts the 'happy' in Happy Halloween!  :)

Have a good one my friends!

All Hallow's Eve...

TGIF!

It has been months since I last played along in a challenge over at A Day For Daisies and when I saw that the new one is "Anything Halloween-y Goes" I knew it was the perfect time to jump back into the fun. Right away I knew that I wanted to color up this sweet scene called Little Witch on Fence because I actually got it last year but it never quite made it onto a card. For a bit of a different twist on monochromatic coloring I printed the image on kraft cardstock and colored it all in using the Copic W's and a white color pencil for added contrast. I'm super happy with the end result, it kinda looks like a cool illustration in a Halloween children's book to me. I wouldn't change a thing on this card... love it!  :)

Hope your weekend is a crafty one!

Booo...

Olo!

How sweet are the Roberto's Rascals tots? I recently got my hands on the Halloween stamps and this adorable mummy is from the Monster Mash set. She was really quick to color up and since I stuck with a CAS card base the whole thing was done in under an hour. You can't beat that when crafty time is limited. She paired up perfectly with some older Doodlebug paper because they are just as bright and happy as this fun trick or treater is. For a different embellishment I painted eyes on a large pearl then drew in legs so that it matched the quirky spiders from the paper.

Well, time for me to scoot my boot.

Sweets and smiles...

Mornin' friends!

Oddtoberfest continues over at Some Odd Girl and I made this card for the first blog challenge of the celebration. The theme this week is 'Make It Odd' which leaves things pretty open... you can try something new, color differently than you normally would, use an image in an unexpected way, etc. I had to think about this one for awhile but then it came to me, I've blown up digis to 'big head' size plenty of times but I've never taken a SOG image and shrunk it down to itty bitty size. So that's exactly what I did with not one but two cute Halloween images, Bat Tobie and Halloween Tia. By shrinking them down to about an inch and a half tall they became the perfect size to work with this spooky Halloween scene paper that I had in my stash. I'm starting to think that there is something to the saying that everything is cuter in miniature, LOL!  ;)

Talk at'cha later!

I put a spell on you...

Hi gals!

I figured it was time for some more Halloween cards so that is the theme I shall be concentrating on the rest of this week. First up is the lovely, little Elphie. Elphie is a Saturated Canary rubber stamp and I think that look on her face is absolutely precious. I can just imagine the story behind her... someone "accidentally" turned their spell casting instructor into a bat and Elphie is trying hard to hide her broom and look completely innocent, LOL! Per my usual M.O. all the colors for her pretty outfit were pulled from these fab paper scraps that I pulled. I've had these papers from My Mind's Eye for almost seven years now and they are still a total fave. No matter the size of the scrap I can't bring myself to throw them away, so back in the bag any left-overs go. It will be interesting to see how many more years I can make them stretch.  ;)

Ok then, thanks for stopping by and I shall see ya manana!

Feel better soon...

Good morning!

I got a final card done for the Some Odd Girl Oddtober Fest Facebook challenges over the weekend. This one is for the SOG Colors challenge which are; pink, yellow, green, aqua and grey. Well as luck would have it, these scraps of Doodlebug Kitten Smitten papers have been floating around my desk for months and they were perfect! So I just needed to find the right feline friend to go with them. Poor, pitiful All Wet Cat pleaded with those big sad eyes of his until I just couldn't resist. He reminded me so much of my tuxedo cat, Cosmo, thus the black and white fur and amber eyes. I went with the 'feel better' sentiment because it looks like this little guy is having a rough day himself and needs quite a bit of TLC. I gotta say, I've been so happy with all three of the cards I made for these challenges and I'm really glad they left them open for a week considering my weekends are always busy with work and I would have hated to miss out on all the fun.  :)

Sprinkled with sunshine...

Hello, hello!

I've got a special weekend post today because we've got a very special pre-order up in the TGF store right now! That's right, I hinted about this earlier in the week and now the two new unicorn stamp sets are ready to be ordered. The A Lil' Magic set features three pretty ponies in the original size that we all know and love while the Be a Unicorn set has four mini ponies that are the same size as the Simon Says exclusive set. The two mini pony pals on this card are from the Be a Unicorn set and I made another shaker card for them to call home. I like that the glitter and beads add a bit of sparkle and magic to the over all design. Now be sure to head on over to the TGF blog to see what some of my fellow Farmers have created with these adorable new sets. The pre-order will stay open through October 16th so don't let this opportunity pass you by. :)

Must be Autumn...

TGIF!

It's been way too long since I've made the time to create a card for the Bellarific Challenge over at Stamping Bella. So when I found myself with a bit of extra time yesterday I knew just who I wanted to stamp up. Tiny Townie Autumn Loves Autumn is probably my favorite Tiny Townie from the last release so she had to be the first to get on a card. Talk about fun to color, with all those fall leaves adorning her the possibilities are endless. The card design is a simple CAS layout that tends to be a go-to of mine... especially when I don't want to fussy cut a large image. This time I embellished with paper leaves instead of paper flowers and a sprinkling of wood dots that I think kinda look like acorn tops. Have I mentioned lately how much I love this time of year and everything that comes with the season?!  :)

Anywho, early day of work for me today so I should get moving.
Enjoy the weekend!

Birthday wishes...

Hi again!

I got a second card done for the Some Odd Girl Oddtober Fest Facebook challenges. This one is for the Party themed challenge and I found the perfect SOG stamp in my binder called Big Wishes Mae. She looks like a girl who brings the party with her wherever she goes... it doesn't hurt to have a big, delicious cake on hand either, LOL! This is also the first shaker card that I've made and shared here on the ol' blog. I love how the sequins look like confetti flying through the air behind Mae adding to the festive mood. All in all this looks like a birthday party that I hope to be invited to.  ;)

Our friendship is magical...

Hey there!

I've got a super fun sneak peek to share with you today. Whether or not you managed to get your hands on the Mini Pony Party collaboration that was done with Simon Says Stamp last month you will LOVE the pre-order that is coming to TGF this weekend. There will be two new unicorn sets, one in the traditional size that all of the previous Greeting Farm sets have been and one in the new mini size. I thought it would be fun to pair up one unicorn from each set on this card so that you all can see the size comparison. Seriously, how adorable are they? The magic of these sweet little stamps will add smiles and happiness to any card they grace. So if you adore these unicorns as much as I do, mark your calendars for this Saturday and be ready to do a bit of shopping.  ;)

Hello Autumn...

Hello again!

Some Odd Girl is celebrating all this month with a fun Oddtober Fest full of challenges scavenger hunts and other activities. This past weekend they issued three Facebook challenges to kick it all off and I made this card for the Odd Family challenge. The theme is to pick an image that reminds you of a family member and make a card with it. So I sat down and flipped through my collection of SOG stamps until I came across this one called Girlfriends Kaylee and Mae. Kaylee with her short hair and Mae with her long hair kinda reminded me of my sister Jacque and myself... perfect! So instead of friends I've made them sisters and paired these two up with some pretty papers from the Simple Stories Hello Fall collection and not much else. I love how it looks like they are posing in front of a big reader board extolling all the best parts of the season. Hopefully I'll be able to get a couple more cards done before the deadline.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good one!  :)
