Hey there!
I recently got some happy mail from Whimsy Stamps when my order from their newest release arrived. This darling girl wasn't one of the new stamps but she had been on my wish list long enough that I couldn't resist adding her to my cart. She's called Bunny Balloon and I think she is just as sweet as can be. I figure she was a spring/Easter type image but I think she works quite well for a cute birthday card and since tomorrow I dive into my month of mermaids it was now or a loooong wait before Bunny Balloon fulfilled her creative destiny. I paired her up with this cool rainbow stripe paper from the Doodlebug Hip Hip Hooray 6x6 pad probably because I ended up coloring her dress to look exactly like one I had myself back in second grade and believe me, I was all about rainbows back in the day, LOL! And I'm also entering this card into the current "anything goes with a twist" challenge over on the Whimsy challenge blog cause you know I love a good challenge. :)
Alrighty friends, I'm super excited to make a splash tomorrow so I hope to see you then!

Thank you...
Hello crafty friends!
It's Tuesday and that means I have a new card that I've made for 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store. This week I inked up another one of the darling Tiny Townie Garden Girls from Stamping Bella. We are coming up on Sweet Pea season so I was inspired to get this cutie colored up and on a card. I colored her flowers and dress just like the Sweet Peas that I remember growing up the side of a small garden shed in my grandmas back yard when I was a child. I used to spend so much time picking those sweet smelling blossoms and making little bouquets. I love how the right stamp can bring back treasured memories... just another reason why this hobby of ours is so wonderful! Oh and I'm also entering this card into the Stamping Bella 'free form' challenge. :)
And don't forget that there is still time to enter this month's challenge over on the 7 Kids blog. Kelly has an awesome $20 gift certificate up for grabs and you could be the lucky winner!

Happy Camper...
Good morning!
And a very happy Memorial Day to all those observing. In my little corner of the world this weekend is all about getting out and enjoying the great outdoors. Kicking off the beginning of summer down by the lake in a comfy camper sounds like my idea of heaven. So you know I had to use a couple of the cuties from my brand new Sunny kit to capture this time of year on a card. I paired them up with the perfect home away from home which was part of the Avery Elle Glamper Campers set. I suppose the whole Glamper thing kinda inspired my choice of Anya and Ian too since this duo seemed to have that hipster vibe about them, must be his pork pie hat and her straw fedora. As I was putting them on the background that I'd created their family unit seemed to be missing something... so I grabbed the pup from the Mini Remix Boys set and they were finally complete. I am SO happy with how this all came together. Oh and if you missed getting the amazing Sunny kit during the pre-order there are some currently available in the TGF store and today is the last day to get 15% off any order there when you use the code MEMORIAL15 so jump on that deal!
Laters! :)

Bloom where you're planted...
Hi gals!
Today kicks off the start to Memorial Day weekend which means I will be very busy at work. Hopefully I'll be able to carve out a bit of time to get creative but there are no guarantees. In fact, yesterday was already busy so I didn't have time to make a card. Luckily I had gotten this sweet garden baby colored up Wednesday so I was good to go. This darling digi from Mo's Digital Pencil is called Flowers 4u and how was I supposed to resist those gorgeous curls, I mean seriously? I also love the expression on her face all innocent and sweet when you know she just tore up an entire bed of flowers, LOL! I paired her up with a bit more paper from that Basic Grey Kioshi pad that I used last week and the color story it inspired is so pretty. Again, another CAS card to let the coloring and image be the star of the show.
Alrighty, time for this girl to go get busy. Have a fun yet safe holiday weekend my friends!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink
paper- Basic Grey (Kioshi)
digital stamp- Mo's Digital Pencil (Flowers 4u)

Kindness is always fashionable...
Mornin'!
I've got to head off to work soon so this is gonna be a quick post. I've inked up this beauty from LDRS Creative called A Girl Can't Have Too Many for my card today. She looked to me like she had a very Parisian flair about her so I also grabbed the City Scene stamp set from PTI to create a subtle Eiffel Tower scene behind her. I hope it shows up better on your computer screen because mine is really washing it out, but I assure you that it looks nice in person, LOL! The rest of the card is pretty clean and simple relying on that lovely paper for its bright pops of color that I then added to her ensemble as well. :)
Ok friends, gotta run... have a good one!

Hello, sweet friend...
Hello again!
I'm back with the May installment of my PTI Baker's Dozen year of cards. This time around I chose to make a more generic friendship type card rather than a birthday card. This was simply because I liked the font of the sentiment when paired with the vintage looking paper I had pulled for the background, plus it fit perfectly in the space I had. LOL Speaking of the paper, this particular sheet has been in my stash for many years and I'm so happy to be finally getting it on a card. I used a couple different die cuts to try and make it look like an old stitched handkerchief to keep in line with the vintage theme that was coming about. I think I was pretty successful with achieving that look and another sweet and simple card is in the books. ;)
Ta ta for now!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink
paper- Jenni Bowlin
stamps- Papertrey Ink (Baker's Dozen set and Keep It Simple: Friendship set)
ink- Memento rich cocoa and espresso truffle
Lawn Fawn scallop rectangle die
Papertrey Ink Mix and Mat stitch die
Hug Snug ribbon
Ranger glossy accents
Copic markers:
cherry- RV09, RV69, R89, YG23, G07, YG67
icing- YR30, Y32, E51, E21
cake- E55, E57, E49
liner- R24, R29, R89
ground- W00, W2

Big Birthday Wishes...
Hi there!
It's Tuesday and you know what that means... time for my weekly 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store card creation. To be honest, I came into this week not having a solid plan for today's card which is unusual for me. Normally, I've gotten a new stamp or have a technique I want to play with so I know generally what I'm going to do well in advance. This time though, Monday hit and I still had no idea. So I sat down and started flipping through my stamps until this fun Candle Blowing birthday girl from CC Designs caught my eye. I always love the challenge of coloring candle glow and I decided to make it really dramatic by coloring the background dark grey... like all of the lights have been turned off for the song and celebration. So I did that and was happy with how it turned out but she was looking rather lonely all by herself in that dark room so I grabbed the older Surprise! set and stamped in a couple of fellow party goers. By keeping them in grey tones with only touches of candle glow the birthday girl remains the star of the show. Then I found the perfect sentiment in Jessie's new Happy Birthday to You set from Whimsy to pull it all together. I guess the lesson to take away is that sometimes 'winging it' can lead to fun ideas and results!
There is still plenty of time to enter this month's challenge over on the 7 Kids blog. Kelly has an awesome $20 gift certificate up for grabs and you could be the lucky winner so get to creating and join the fun!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Bazzill

Gettin' stuff done...
Good morning!
OK, so I was already a fan of this spunky little Wild Sprout digi called Halle but when I got this new Domestic Bliss paper pack and found that piece with the sentiment on it I just HAD to use the two together. With her fun top knot and sassy attitude Halle certainly looks like a girl who is getting stuff done on her own terms and I love that. The pretty floral paper is from the same paper collection and of course I pulled all the colors for her ensemble to match. A couple of flowers to embellish and this card was complete! :)
Later gators!

Believe...
TGIF my friends!
I kinda fell in love with the Tweetie Pies stamp set when it was released a month or two ago over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and it immediately went on my wish list. So when 7 Kids recently added it to the store I had to snatch it right up! I just adore this little Earth goddess looking beauty with her birdie buddy and had to get her on a card first. I paired her up with this pretty sentiment and some great floral papers from my stash to create a peaceful scene for these two to live in. And I'm entering this card into the "anything goes" Saturday challenge over on the KK blog so wish me luck! :)
I hope your weekend is wonderfully creative!

Hello...
Hey there!
So last May I blew up Forget Me Not Wryn to 'big head' size and had so much fun coloring her that I vowed to do the same with her two other floral sisters. Now here we are a year later and I am finally making that happen. This time I super sized Lilly Wryn and went super bright and colorful with her flowers. And I didn't limit the coloring to her, I've had this cool coloring washi tape just waiting for the perfect card and this one was it. I wanted the tape to look more watercolor-ish so I used my colorless blender to pick up the colors and it really did the trick. Because I have all this flower goodness going on I'm going to enter this card into the current "blooming beautiful" challenge. :)

Happy Birthday...
Hello, hello!
It's Tuesday and once again it is my turn to post over on the 7 Kids blog. I've made a birthday card today and it features the mini Ian from The Greeting Farm's Mega Mini Lift Off set. These mini stamps are so perfect for scene building that I just had to give this birthday boy a whole bunch of star shaped balloons. I didn't bother masking the balloons before stamping because I wanted the lines to show, which helps give the appearance of them being see-through. Then I just colored them in and didn't worry about taking each consecutive color right over top the last. Once Ian and his bouquet of balloons were all colored up I did mask them off so that I could quickly stencil in the sunny background behind him. What a happy day this looks to be! :)
Alrighty, there is still plenty of time to enter this month's challenge over on the 7 Kids blog. Kelly has an awesome $20 gift certificate up for grabs and you could be the lucky winner so get to creating and join the fun!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It
stamps- The Greeting Farm (Mega Mini Lift Off set), Simon Says Stamp (sentiment)

You wow my heart...
Good morning!
During a recent sale at Some Odd Girl I picked up this lovely lady called Unicorn Mae. I've always thought she was really pretty but I just couldn't see myself using her as-is with her horn and other equine features. But I figured by blowing her up to "big head" size and masking off her horn and ear I could easily turn her into a more generic and easy to use image. Once that was done I had so much fun coloring her up and making this CAS card for her to live on. And I figure I might as well throw this into the ring over at the SOG 'anything goes' challenge for good measure. :)
Have a great day everybody!

The little things...
Olo!
I've got a quick little card using an adorable A Day For Daisies digi to share today. She's actually a Halloween image called Dragon Cutie who is originally sporting some big batty wings, but I wanted to make her work on a more spring inspired card so I snipped them off and replaced them with die cut vellum butterfly wings instead. This really lightened her look and now she is ready to rest and relax amidst the sunshine and tall grass. Everything about this card says warm, spring days to me and I couldn't be happier with how it all came together.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

A magical day...
Hey there!
It's the second Wednesday of the new month and that means it's time for the May 'anything goes' challenge over on the 7 Kids challenge blog. Playing along is easy, all you have to do is use at least one product that can be found in the 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store and link back to the challenge blog in your own post, which gives you a chance at winning a $20 gift certificate at the end of the month... who doesn't love that?
Kelly recently added Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to the store and I am so excited to finally have a U.S. vendor to order them from. Not that I minded ordering from Canada but the wait for my goodies to make it through customs was no bueno, I much prefer getting my stamps in just a couple days. So for my challenge inspiration card I had to ink up this new princess from Kraftin' Kimmie called Cinderella. Even though I didn't color her up in the traditional Cinderella colors I still liked the idea of a fancy gown magically transforming around her so I did my best to try and create that illusion. There is a whole lot of glitter and shine added but the pic doesn't capture it's true sparkle.
Alrighty, I hope to see some of my crafty friends joining the fun with me this month over at 7 Kids! :)

Party never...
Hi there!
It's Tuesday and you know what that means... time for my weekly 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store card creation. This time around I just had to grab one of the newest stamp sets from The Greeting Farm called Kitty Stacks and have a play. Being the cat lover that I am, these pudgy little felines immediately stole my heart. I ended up choosing this tiny sleeper and inked him in desert sand for some no-line coloring. I decided to draw inspiration from my brown tabby, Oscar, who loves to nap on my bed and sketched in a comfy, cozy quilt for him to snooze on. Sure it's a simple scene but I think still very effective at sending the soft and serene vibe that I was going for. :)
Alrighty, well the April Challenge just wrapped up but be sure to check out the 7 Kids blog tomorrow when May's Challenge kicks off! With all the new goodies Kelly has been bringing into the store that $20 gift certificate that is up for grabs could really help to fill a shopping cart! ;)
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink
paper- Basic Grey
stamps- The Greeting Farm (Kitty Stacks set), Studio Calico (sentiment)
ink- Memento desert sand and Papertrey Ink shaded lilac
Memory Box stitched die
American Crafts fleece heart

Copic markers:
kitty- E40, E50, E42, E31, E55, W7, R30
blanket- BV0000, BV00, BV02, V15, RV95, G43

My happy place...
Good morning!
It's been a few weeks but I finally made time to re-join the fun and play along in the current sketch challenge over on the MFT challenge blog. I've actually had this cute Spring Friends Pure Innocence stamped up for over a year so when I saw the sketch I knew she would work. I love how my friend Tracey adds bangs to these PI cuties so I did the same once I got to coloring and I am so happy with how she looks! At first I was a bit lost on what kind of scene to put her in but I guess I was inspired by the gorgeous day we had yesterday and the view of the lake with the forest beyond that I was enjoying. So I just grabbed my markers and started winging it. It was a bit nerve wracking at first but once it all started coming together I was glad I had tackled that challenge. And since I do feel blessed to live in such a beautiful area, and it truly is my happy place, the sentiment was kind of a no brainer, LOL! ;)

Happy Birthday to you...
TGIF everybody!
I've got another TGF card to wrap this week up with and this time around I colored one of the Beans from the new Bloom kit. This little beauty is called Blossom and I paired her up with the new Doodlebug Fairy Tales paper for a whimsical birthday card. Blossom had the look of a sweet maiden who could be found skipping over rainbows and playing with unicorns. And the best part is how quick the pre-printed scene pulled the whole card together... gotta love that! All I had to add was Blossom and a few coordinating stickers and this card was done. :)
Have a crafty weekend my friends!

Olo!
Continuing on with my TGF catch up, today's card features one of the new Wild Sprout digis that were released last week. This darling girl is Lydia and she had me at hello... I mean come on, just look at that sweet face! I love her preppy little dress and her braids, heck everything about her is cute. I let her gaze direct the design of the card and arched not just the paper but also the sentiment right above her. It's a simple design but effective. :)
Alrighty friends, I've got to run... TTYL!
