Boo to you!
It's Tuesday and time for a new 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store card creation. Not only that but it's Halloween! That means I have one last chance to get spooky before jumping into Christmas. So I grabbed the Little Witchies from Stamping Bella once again and created a completely different scene and story than the first card I made with her. This time I paired her up with the tombstone and bats from the Haunted House Outdoor Decor set and gave her a 'poison' candied apple from the Fall Fruit set. This is why I am so head-over-heels with the whole Little Bits concept, not only can you mix and match within a theme but you can also start mixing themes so the more sets I collect the more stories I can tell with these fun and fantastic stamps. :)
Alrighty, there is still a couple weeks to play along in the October 'anything goes' challenge so head on over to the 7 Kids blog
and play along for the chance to win a $20 gift certificate! While I am also going to throw this into the current 'anything goes' Bellarific Challenge too.

Frightfully fun Halloween...
Hello, hello!
I couldn't let Halloween pass by without getting a Tiddly Inks cutie on a card and Peek-a-Boo Bugg was really talking to me. So I printed her out and colored her up but with no further plan in mind. There she was looking all bright and colorful but without any place to 'live'. I couldn't settle on a background for her until my sister suggested she be on a front porch with the door and window in the background. I liked the idea but I was a bit intimidated by the idea of just free hand coloring in all that architecture. So I took a deep breath, grabbed a ruler and got to sketching. It actually came together much quicker than I thought it would and I love how the white clapboard siding makes it all look very cheery and inviting. You know me and my love of black kitties so of course I had to add one in the window peeking out at Peek-a-Boo Bugg. It looks to me like she is a little trick-or-treater posing for a picture before getting out there and getting some candy. Love! :)
Later gators!

Hey pumpkin...
A special Sunday hello!
I'm back with my final post as a guest designer for Whimsy Stamps, what an amazing two months it has been and I thank them again for having me. It's night 29 of the 31 Nights of Halloween celebration and that means the big day, ummm... I mean night, is almost here! Can you believe all of the fa-BOO-lous cards and projects that have already been shared? SO much talent and creativity!
For my final card I have used some wonky borders from the FaDoodles stamp set to create a fun frame around the cute little Pumpkin Witchy by Kristen Winkelbauer. By masking her off I could easily take the two check patterned borders and stamp this frame that, once the mask was removed, gives the illusion of her hat and the pumpkins spilling out of the 'window' that is created. I colored in an outdoorsy background using glowing fall colors to really set the scene of Pumpkin Witchy showing off her prize picks from the patch. With the sun just about to set she should be heading home to carve them all into scary jack o'lanterns for the front porch. :)
Thank you again for letting me share in all of this Halloween fun. I have had such a wonderful time guesting for WHIMSY STAMPS!

Happy Holidays...
Hello, again!
I’m back on the MFT blog today with a pair of Christmas cards featuring the fun critters from the Polar Pals stamp set that was part of the October release. For this non-traditional Christmas card I've imagined the cute narwhal leaping out of the cold, arctic waves to jump through a hoop of holiday greetings. To make this happen I used a mix of new and older MFT dies. The 'hoop' is the Happy Holidays Circle Frame and the water was created by cutting some ombre inked cardstock into strips with the Ocean Waves die-namics. This background was all trimmed out using the A2 stitched rectangle stax set 2 and the coordinating Polar Pals die made it easy to cut out the narwhal and pop him up with dimensional adhesive right over the stitched sentiment strip. Even without any red or green in sight, I think this guy is ready for a very cool yule!
To check out my bonus creation using Polar Pals just hop on over to the MFT blog. Well, that's it for today, I'll be back for one final MFT guest post next week. :)

I'm under your spell...
Olo!
Apparently I can't get enough of witches and their kitties this Halloween because here I am with another sweet pair. This darling digi from Mo's is called Little Witch Henrietta and that kitten totally reminds me of my own little Max. He loves to come up and snuggle on me while I color and even 'helped' me while I worked on this card. Once I had Henrietta and her buddy all colored up I kept going and colored in the rest of the pumpkin patch in the background along with the haystack behind them. Now it looks like after spending all morning searching for the perfect pumpkins Henrietta has finally found them and her kitty approves. :)
Thanks for stopping by today!

Haunt it...
Hey there!
I've made a card today to play along in the Mix It Up #36 challenge SPDMIU36 over at Sugar Pea Designs. I've followed both the sketch (just flipped it on it's head) and the Halloween theme as well. Of course I had to use the super cute ghostie from the Monster Mash stamp set and because I loved him so much I also used a mirror image stamp to give him a buddy. The background was easily created by masking off a circle for the moon and then just sponging on neon yellow and green ink for the eerie sky. Then I used the Spooky Scape die to give these two a fun place to haunt. Because the ghosts were so quick to color this card came together in no time, ya gotta love it when that happens!
Well, lots to do today so I best get moving. Later gators. :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Bazzill
stamps- Sugar Pea Designs (Monster Mash set), Reverse Confetti (sentiment), My Favorite Things (mirror image stamp)
ink- Memento tuxedo black, Versafine onyx black, Hero Arts neon green ombre

Trick or treat...
Hi there!
It's Tuesday and you know what that means... time for my weekly 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store card creation. We are officially one week away from Halloween and I'm still having way too much fun making spooky, cute cards for the holiday. I picked up the Carta Bella Haunted House 6x6 paper pad from 7 Kids a couple months back (it's sold out now) and kinda fell in love with this awesome haunted house sheet of paper. Because it is so big and bold I knew I would have to find just the right stamp to fit into the scene. I got to looking at my Gorjuss Girls again and Piracy immediately caught my eye. Since she is just as big and bold as the print I knew she could hold her own within the design. I even ended up trimming her to fit into the bottom corner so it looks like she is really standing outside of that gate, working up the courage to go knock on the door. ;)
Alrighty, there is still a couple weeks to play along in the October 'anything goes' challenge so head on over to the 7 Kids blog and play along for the chance to win a $20 gift certificate!

Tricks, treats and sweets...
Good morning!
I have had this darling digital stamp pinned on my wish list for ages and I finally caved and bought her from the All Dressed Up digi shop on Etsy. She's called Magical Day and I just think she is an absolute doll. When it came time to color her up and put her on a card I decided to check out the All Dressed Up Facebook challenge to give me a jumping off point. The current challenge is to use pink and/or pearls. At first I thought the pink could be a problem since I would be doing a Halloween card but then I found this Doodlebug paper that hat a fun hot pink included in the print. So of course I had to give her some hot pink hair to match. The rest of the colors in her fun costume also came from the paper as well. A sprinkling of black pearls fulfilled the other part of the challenge and help add a bit of magic to the over all design.
Okey dokey, I'm off to start my day. Have a good one everybody! :)

It's Halloween witches...
Hello, hello!
I am thrilled to be participating in the 31 Nights of Halloween as a guest designer for Whimsy Stamps this month. For my card I have combined stamps from Deb Davis' awesome Attempted Murder set and the sassy Jack o Lantern Joy by Kristen Winkelbauer. I love creating scenes for my character stamps to live in and the Attempted Murder set has so many great images for building perfectly spooky backgrounds that I know it is going to quickly become a go-to set for future fall/Halloween cards. I stamped everything in Memento desert sand ink so that I could do the scene using the no-line coloring technique with my Copics. I really like the soft, sort of dreamy quality this lends to the over all design of the card. I imagine Jack o Lantern Joy is all dressed up and heading to a big Halloween party right at that witchy twilight hour. I would not be tempted to go explore that abandoned farm house along the way but she looks to be a lot braver than I ever would be! ;)
Well, thanks for letting me share in all of this Halloween excitement. I'll be back next Sunday with another whimsical witchy card. In the meantime, be sure to check out the Whimsy blog tomorrow night for more WHIMSY STAMPS festivities! Have fun!

Sing a song of Halloween...
TGIF!
After a long hiatus I was so excited to see some new Halloween digis at A Day For Daisies this week! I simply couldn't let this month end without getting at least one of them on a card. So I printed out the gorgeous Halloween Broom and paired her up with some paper from Authentique. I liked that it had the same kind of vintage vibe as she had. I colored her fabulous gown to match the two tones of orange in the paper and I also added some sparkle to it with Copic Spica glitter pens in orange and garnet. She is quite the stylin' witch, so much so that I have to wonder if she is pausing a moment before taking off on her broom for fear of messing up her beautiful hair-do... LOL!
Alrighty then, I'm outta here but be sure to stop by on Sunday because I have a special 31 Nights of Halloween post for Whimsy stamps going up this weekend. :)

Your on the nice list...
Hello friends!
You may be saying, "Hey where is the Halloween card?", well there is a very good reason for me to be skipping ahead to Christmas for the day. I’m beyond excited to be guest designing for My Favorite Things this month! It’s such an honor to be invited to join this amazingly talented group of stampers in showcasing all of the fun and fabulous new holiday goodies from the October release. For my card today I have the sweet as can be Nice List Pure Innocence. I am a long time fan of these darling stamps so I knew she would be the first one getting on a card. Because I wanted the sentiment to have a big impact as well, I grabbed the Merry Christmas Greeting, masked off Nice List with some post it tape, then stamped it right next to her overlapping a bit at the top of her list. While the mask was still in place I grabbed some green ink and quickly sponged some onto the bottom corner just to help ground her in place. Once the post it tape is removed this creates the illusion of her standing in front of a large sign. Then all I had to do was grab my new favorite die, the A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax set 1, to cut it all out and pop it on a card base. I LOVE the super narrow border the largest rectangle creates on an A2 card and I seriously can't stop using it!
Now if you head on over to the MFT blog you will find a bonus second card that I've created as well. ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Happy Halloween...
Hey there!
So I'm going from two days of pretty sweet and cutsie Halloween cards to something a bit darker and more macabre... insert ominous chuckle here, LOL! I've had Belinda Bones from Kraftin' Kimmie stamped up for ages just waiting to get on a card and this was her year. I got Belinda all colored up and then my sister suggested that she needed some tombstones. Luckily I had the perfect stamps in my stash to do just that. Then I ran across this cool card on Instagram by Sandy Allnock where she had colored in an entire graveyard which inspired me to try my hand at it too. Tackling that eerie scene must have got my spooky juices flowing because that's when I got the idea to finish it all off with an open grave at her feet. Is it terrible that this card totally makes me giggle each time I see it? Alrighty, I'm going to enter this into the Wednesday 'anything goes' challenge over on the KK blog.
See ya in 24!

Forget brains, I want candy...
Hello crafty friends!
Are you ready for my Tuesday 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store card? Last week I finally got my hands on the Magic Color Slider die set from Lawn Fawn and I couldn't wait to try my hand at something new. So I grabbed the super cute Trick or Treat stamp set from TGF and settled on the zombie boy for the magic little scene. I knew that I would need to use Staz On ink for stamping on the transparency layer but when I dug out my old ink pad I was bummed to find it completely dry! To say it had been a few years since I'd used it would be an understatement, LOL! Unfortunately I don't have a local craft store that I can run and pick up a new ink pad at so I had to make do with my Versafine onyx black but I had to let it sit overnight and set it with a heat gun before it wouldn't smear. Needless to say, Staz On ink will be at the top of my shopping list so that I have an easier time on the next magic color slider card that I make. Other than that little mishap I have to say that this die set made the whole process super quick and easy Bonus points as it makes me look and feel craftier than I actually am too! ;)
Now don't forget the monthly challenge over on the 7 Kids blog. There is plenty of time to get creative and enter in for a chance to win the $20 gift certificate!

Ghostly greetings...
Good morning!
I finally found time to play in the MFT sketch challenge and I'm so glad I did because I've been meaning to ink up these funny little ghost for weeks. The set is called Fab-BOO-lous Friends and everything about it just makes me happy. And talk about a super quick card to put together and color, I think when it was all said and done this was made in just under an hour. The Doodlebug papers are a perfect fit with those bright colors popping off the white background. The finished card is much different from the rest of the Halloween cards I've been making this year but who says all Halloween cards have to be dark and spooky? ;)
Later gators!

You say witch...
TGIF my friends!
I'm wrapping up this week with my guest post for Whimsy Stamps and I've done another twist on a non-Halloween stamp. This beauty was just released last week and she is called Hot Chocolate Honey. I really can't wait to use her on a cozy Christmas card but until then I thought it would be fun to turn her into a witchy gal with a magical brew. So I wiped away the heart from the mug as well as the marshmallow before stamping her up then just colored her up in some perfectly witchy colors with an eerie glow. I even added a little spider to her cup for good measure. This potion paper from Carta Bella nailed the theme I was going for and I love how it kinda looks like we are peeking in on her in her secret apothecary. :)
Thanks for dropping by and I hope your weekend is a crafty one!

When black cats prowl...
Olo!
I've got a quick post for a quick card to share today. This sweet digi from Mo's is called Three Little Kittens and since I am a crazy cat lady it totally tugs at my heart strings. The image seemed perfect for a Halloween card so all three of those cuties were getting colored up like my favorite black kitties. The paper is from an older Crate paper pad and I really dig the creamy, muted color scheme so of course I tried to use my Copics to match it as best I could. :)
Alrighty, I've gotta scoot my boot. Have a great day everybody!
Supply list:
cardstock- Copic X-Press It and Bazzill

You are bootiful...
Hey there!
It's the second Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for the October 'anything goes' challenge over on the 7 Kids challenge blog. Playing along is easy, all you have to do is use at least one product that can be found in the 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store and link back to the challenge blog in your own post, which gives you a chance at winning a $20 gift certificate at the end of the month... who doesn't love that?
This past summer I instantly fell in love with the Littles from Stamping Bella. Being a card maker with a passion for building scenes with my stamps these cuties were right up my alley. So when the Halloween and Autumn Little Bits were released I just had to add them to my collection. I love that with some simple masking the possibilities for creating fun scenes are as limitless as your imagination. My card today combines stamps from four different sets and they come together seamlessly to tell the story of ghostie and his witchie love. ;)
Ok now I hope to see some of my crafty friends joining the fun with me this month over at 7 Kids!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Bazzill

A bit of magic...
Hey there!
It's Tuesday and you know what that means... time for my weekly 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store card creation. I'm continuing on with the Halloween theme this month so I thought it would be fun to take a couple of the cuties from The Greeting Farm Little Party set and create a magical Halloween party. The way the one witchie-poo has her arms raised it looked to me like she could be working a spell so I stamped the plates and mini cakes flying through the air. Then I just added some sparkle with a few Copic Spica glitter pens and a sprinkling of sequins to really sell the mystical moment. The sentiment plays off the entire scene and since it is also a quote from one of my most favorite movies, Practical Magic, even better! ;)
Alrighty, well the September challenge just wrapped up but be sure to check out the 7 Kids blog tomorrow when October's challenge kicks off! Fun new holiday stuff is hitting the store shelves and who wouldn't want that $20 gift certificate?!
