Hello, hello!
Today I'm on the Greeting Farm blog having fun playing with the newly released Build-a-Living Room digi set. Everyone in the TGF fan page has been getting super creative with their scene making lately, which just gets me all kinds of excited, and Marie is making that even easier with this digi set packed full of great
builder elements. With 26 new images included I couldn't limit myself to just one card for today's post, so I made three!
First up I grabbed one of the cuties from the 2020 Girls set and the kitty from the Hello From Home set then paired them with the new sofa, coffee table, rug and table top decor from the Build-a set. I also flipped the shelving unit and stretched it to become a large window for the room creating a bright and sunny view for this happy girl to enjoy.
Next I grabbed Ian from the Hello From Home set and used the shelving as intended, filling them up with all the little decor pieces included in the Build-a set. I created two different sizes of decorative bottles by simply stretching one up tall and narrow. The rug is actually the door mat from the Porch set blown up nice and big. Making it large created a very wide black border which was perfect as I was going for that natural sisal type rug to finish off his masculine den.
And finally this sweet girl from the Hello From Home set got a pretty, shabby chic living room when I used the long floating shelf from Build-a as a fireplace mantle, simply coloring in the stone work below it. With the help of the 2020 sets and Cashier A she has a gallery wall full of family photos and don't forget that you can flip the picture frames horizontal as well to change things up.
I don't know about you but I can't wait to see what room of the house Marie tackles next!

Happy Birthday...
Hey there!
I've got another Purple Onion birthday card to share today and this time I went with a color palette that works just as easily for little boys as little girls. The mix of stamps include Happy, the party bear holding the trio of balloons, Sunny, a big stack of presents and the bunting flags. I masked them all together to create this festive party scene out in the wilderness and finished it off with this great birthday greeting from the Kindness Sentiment set. I gotta admit that this card just makes me all kinds of happy, LOL!
Don't forget the new release from Julian Charlton that released this month and the clearance sale that is still going on as well.. it's time to make room on the shelves for some new goodies coming next month. ;)
Stay crafty my friends!

I'd pick you...
Since the last Stamping Bella sale had to end abruptly, due to the warehouse being closed during the shelter in place order, Emily has decided to put the sale on once again now that there is some staff working. This is perfect timing as we are busy gearing up for the next new release and a bit of spring cleaning will help make room for all of the awesome new stamps that are coming soon. Because I am busy with all that behind the scenes coloring I figured now was a great time to finally share this card from the previous release here on the ol' blog. This is Bundle Girl with a Cornflower but I decided to color them up as carnations instead. Sadly it looks like I waited too long to share her because she has already sold out during this sale, LOL! But the Spring Sentiment set I used is on sale too and still available and SB has some of the best sentiments out there if you ask me. :)
So I hope you go and enjoy the sale, while I get back to coloring. ;)
Toodles!

Hello, Beautiful Girl...
Good morning!
Last week I did a Live coloring video using the sassy companion to this sweet fairy, both of which are part of a digital stamp set from MMedel Illustrations. This little flutter by friend came across as quieter and a bit more reflective which led me to the idea of sitting her down at the waters edge checking out her reflection as the waves come rippling in. I also dressed her in a cooler color palette to help reinforce the peaceful vibe I was after. She is just so pretty, hidden among the tall grass, I like to think that what looks like a lake next to her is actually just a large puddle that formed after a spring rain but because she is such a wee thing it looks much larger than it actually is. :)
I noticed that Maria has added new images to her etsy shop over the weekend so if you missed the fun crafty girl and guy be sure to check them out!

So sorry...
Hey there!
I'm sure most have you have already gotten your hands on this lovely Stay Home digi set freebie over at 7 Kids. She came out a few weeks back and while I started coloring her right away I got a bit sidetracked and didn't finish the card until recently. She sure is a pretty little Miss with just the right amount of attitude to pull off this slightly snarky sentiment. All of the images included are png which makes it super easy to manipulate their size and create different scene with them. This digi set is drawn by the same artist that designed the very first clear stamp release at 7 Kids full of fun kitten antics so if you prefer physical stamps be sure to check those out.
Alrighty then, my sister got the new Animal Crossing game for her birthday and I'm doing my best not to get sucked into it with her. Though it is hard for me to resist the fun of designing clothes for her little character, LOL! Wish me luck on having a productive day. ;)

Friendship...
Hello there!
Happy Saturday to all! I'm making sure I don't forget to share the finished card from my second Hello Bluebird Live coloring that I did last week. Admittedly I went a little crazy with the scene building on this one but once an idea pops into my head I just can't stop myself. This time around I paired elements from a mix of new and olds sets including, Picked For You, Pathway Background, Strawberry Jam and a slightly altered Tabitha. By wiping away the broom from Tabitha's hand she easily transforms from a Halloween stamp to a sweet friend for this Picked for You cutie. Together they are spending the day picnicing in the park with their favorite feline friends.
The restock on the newest release stamps is due very soon so I would think those pre-orders will be shipping in no time. In the meantime, grab the HB sets already in your collection and see if you can think of a new spin to put on them. :)
Stay crafty my friends!

As wonderful as you...
TGIF my friends!
Yesterday I made a point of using a new stamp set sooner rather than later. I'll admit that sometimes I have a tendency to collect stamps faster than I can get them inked up, which is a real shame. So when I had a free day to color I figured it was a good time to go Live and color up this darling fox from the CC Designs Foxes set. As soon as I saw him sitting on that log, I pictured this fox nestled in a shady glen overlooking a sunny lake and because the stamp is on the smaller side I knew it would be fairly quick to color leaving me with plenty of time to tackle that scene I envisioned. So we spent the early afternoon coloring away at this more involved scene where I was really playing with perspective, light and shadow. Initially I was planning on giving it to my sister for her birthday but wouldn't you know we went with an Animal Crossing card instead, LOL! Oh well, at least I have a cute card ready to go for someone else now. :)
Toodles!

Planted in my heart...
Olo!
While I know that yesterday was officially Earth Day I really wanted to pay tribute to it with my Dreamerland Crafts card today. Quite a few different Dreamerland stamps have been released over the years that have flowers, trees and other growing things as part of their theme but I've been dying to pair these two cuties together for a sweet scene. The girl on the bench is called Tender Care and the girl on the ground is Let's Watch It Grow and I had to use a mirror stamp to flip her so that she would be facing her friend on my card. Once that was done though the scene came together super quick as these two busily go about planting their garden together. So even though I may be off by a day, shouldn't every day be Earth Day really? :)
Later gators!

Workin' it...
More digi fun hit the TGF store Tuesday night with the introduction of the Desktop set. These fun images are perfect for representing all of the ZOOM conferences, online education, homeschooling, home businesses, gaming and just general way of passing the time during these days of isolation and quarantine. And just like all of the other new sets this one can be mixed and matched to really personalize your scenes. My first card is a busy mom trying to have a ZOOM conference while the little ones run around and the dog is begging for a snack. I did this by grabbing the windows from the Front Porch set, the mug, pup and Ian from the Hello From Home set and one of the Ians from the 2020 Boys set.By simply reducing the size on both of the boys they immediately look like little kidlets... ya gotta love that digi versatility!
My second card has a lot less going on because apparently Ian was able to lock himself away in his study for a bit of privacy while he studies. His only visitor is his little feline friend from the Hello From Home set.
Alrighty, the Desktop set is on sale for a limited time and until tomorrow... stay crafty!

Fairy dust...
Hey there!
I decided to break up the boredom yesterday by going Live on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page with this sassy little fairy from MMedel Illustrations. I have been a fan of Maria's art ever since first discovering her clear stamps with Craftin' Desert Divas years ago. It was a sad day when they closed but I was relieved to find Maria's etsy shop so I could continue to add to my collection. This beauty is actually one of a pair of fairy digis that come together in the recently released Fairies set. It was hard to choose which one to color first but something about her mischievous side eye won the day. She turned out quite stylish with everyone's color suggestions and we even got in some practice making big, fluffy white clouds. All in all it was a really good day of coloring and I love the card that came together because of it. :)
Talk at'cha later!
Supply list:
cardstock- My Favorite Things and Copic X-Press It

stamp- My Favorite Things (sentiment)
ink- Versafine Onyx black
My Favorite Things A2 stitched rectangle stax set 1

Oh my whiskers...
Hello, hello!
Today I'm on the Greeting Farm blog with a different take on all of the fun new digis Marie has been releasing lately. I know everyone is loving them because the TGF Fan page on Facebook has been hoppin' with all of the amazing cards being shared. Each of the sets include not only super cute characters but also many great builder elements that with just a bit of creativity can shine all on their own.
As I was scrolling through my computer it struck me that I had everything I needed to create a fun alley cat scene for my card today. I started by grabbing the garbage can and bag from the Trash Day digital set, then added the box stack and milk crate from the Delivery set to fill up the alley. Next I grabbed the kitty from the Hello From Home set as well as the kitty that comes with the older Hallo Bean digi to inhabit this back alley home. There is not a main character in sight on this card and yet it totally tells a fun story. So as you add to your digital stamp collection challenge yourself to some up with clever and creative ways to use these stamps with a bit of a twist! :)
Stay safe and stay crafty!

Good morning!
I've been really wanting to make a card with this older stamp from Purple Onion for a while now. Ever since I got my hands on sweet little Summer here I knew she was destined for a special card. So I flipped through the rest of my stamps to see who would join her and what kind of story they would tell. When I came across Elm, the cute puppy in the present, this just had to be a birthday card. The Front Door background stamp quickly set the scene and the Confetti stamp gave the whole celebration a festive air. Seriously, who wouldn't want to get a box full of wags and wiggles on their birthday?! ;)
Don't forget the new release from Julian Charlton that just hit the shelves at Purple Onion Designs and the clearance sale that is still going on as well. So much good stuff going on at Purple Onion these days that you are sure to find some fun things for your crafty time. :)
Later gators!

Oh happy day...
Hello there!
I'm taking a minute on this fine Sunday morning to share the finished card from my first Hello Bluebird Live coloring that I did this past Tuesday. I paired elements from several of the new release sets to create this scene, including Meadow Bunnies, Besties and Picked For You. Because of the amazingly quick sell out on release day these are all on pre-order and will be back in stock at the end of the month. One of the things I love most about Hello Bluebird stamps is how well the images in the various sets can be mixed and matched to create entirely new stories. The stand of birch trees is so versatile and when paired with the big fluffy cloud in the Besties set you get a whole other look, it's the little things like that which I just geek out over. So now I had the perfect meadow for these two cuties to relax and while away the day in. I kept the color palette fresh and spring inspired since I tend to work seasonally but I can definitely see this looking just as good all decked out for fall as well. :)
Toodles!

Dream Big...
Hi there!
I'm back on the Bellarific Blog with another Scenic Saturday card to share. I don't know about all of you but lately I've been struggling a bit with cabin fever and just wanting to escape from all of the horrible news that comes with the scary situation we are currently living through. So my responsible way of running away from it all has been through revisiting some of my favorite fantasy movies while I'm stuck at home. There is nothing like a good adventure story full of brave knights, elves, wizards and most especially... dragons! So when it came time to create I decided to continue my fantastical escape with this super cute Set of Dragons. They are too sweet to be scary so I wanted to have them living in a castle amongst the clouds and knowing that going in I made sure to wipe away the ink from their feet and bottoms before stamping to really create the illusion that they are bursting through or sitting in those soft fluffy clouds. This technique also works great for characters you want to color into snow drifts or long grasses etc. I kept the clouds light and pastel so that each of the dragons would pop like little jewels against them.
I hope you all will try creating your own stamping stories and let yourselves get lost in them for awhile. :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It

Taking out the trash...
Hey friends!
Just a quick post to let you all know that Marie is still working through all the digi requests and has just released the new Trash Day digital set in the TGF store. It is on sale for a limited time, so if this set is one you've been waiting for now is the time to grab it! I had a blast mixing and matching it with the Front Porch set to create this slimline card... I even grabbed the kitty from the Hello From Home set to peek out that window at all the morning's goings ons. :)
Oh and Marie has also added FREE face mask digis that you can grab and layer on any of your other TGF digis or print and cut out to glue onto your traditionally stamped characters. How great is that?!
Alrighty, until next time... stay crafty!

Spread joy not germs blog hop!
Hello!
Welcome to the Spread Joy Not Germs special blog hop hosted by Catherine Pooler and Hedgehog Hollow! Thirty-one companies are participating with more than 50 prizes and over 150 crafty bloggers all coming together to help spread a little joy one card at a time! There are a lot of stops on this hop but the more comments you leave on the blogs, the more chances you have to win prizes. The deadline to enter is April 24 and winners will be announced on Monday, April 27 on the Catherine Pooler Designs and Hedgehog Hollow blogs.
I am participating with The Greeting Farm today and sharing another BRAND NEW DIGI SET that is hitting the TGF store today called Front Porch. With this latest set you can easily layer all the latest social distancing digis to create fun indoor/outdoor scenes between the different characters. For my card I actually did a bit of mixing and matching between clear stamps and digis. First I stamped up the new Gift Ian FB using the back side of Ian and the little teddy bear that also comes in the set, then I masked him off before printing this porch scene with Quarantine Life Anya over him. Once the mask was removed it totally looked like Ian was stopping by to check on his friend from a safe distance. Because I was working with a larger clear stamp to start, all of the digi elements had to be pretty large as well so I decided to make a slimline card to fit everything on into the scene. The Scalloped Card Panels and Banners die set from Trinity Stamps (another wonderful hop sponsor) was just what I needed to give this slimline scene a pretty decorative edge.
Now you will want to head over to Pear Blossom Press for the next stop on the hop.
Thanks so much for stopping by, stay safe and stay crafty my friends!

You're a lifesaver...
Hello, hello!
Yesterday The Greeting Farm released five new digital sets on top of the regularly scheduled clear release. To celebrate all the great new images I did a Live video in my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page featuring the EMT set. As always we had a wonderful time watching these cute little first responders come to life with each stroke of the marker. Then there is the fun of creating a whole story and world for them to inhabit, which in this case included a nosey neighbor peeking out her window, LOL!
I also made a card using the new Firefighters digi set and chose to color them into their station house where Anya and Ian are being greeted by their faithful dalmatian pup.
And last but not least, there is the new Police digi set that comes complete with two friendly neighborhood officers and their snazzy cruiser.
All three of these new sets are perfect for sharing our thanks and gratitude to those brave men and women who put their lives on the line for the rest of us every day. Especially in crazy times like these when our day to day has been completely upended and it can feel like a bad situation can worsen so much quicker. It's nice to know that there is still someone out there ready to help and we shouldn't be shy about sharing our appreciation. :)
Laters!
