Frightfully Sweet...

TGIF!

Now that October is here I was feeling the pull to create another sweet Halloween card using goodies from the Frightful Nights Halloween Card kit at Hello Bluebird which is sadly sold out. I combined cute characters from the Who Wants Candy and All the Spooks sets between the two card stock panels that I had from using the Gallery Frame #2 die. Working on these smaller panels always seems to tighten up the over-all design in a simple, no brainer kind of way, as well as speed up the coloring process. It really didn't take very long for this whole spooktacular scene to come together. :)

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back tomorrow for some World Card Making Day fun!

So glad our paths have crossed...

Olo!

So the adorable Pistachio from Purple Onion Designs, has already made it onto a card last month but I couldn't resist inking him up again and this time for a Fall hiking scene with his pal Woody. Of course I did a bunch of masking to get them both crossing the Fallen Log and then adding the Evergreen Trail and Creek Background at the very end. What a wonderful adventure they must be on, taking in all of the colors and beauty of the season. I chose to make the space beneath them a meandering creek, trailing off into the distance. The sentiment is once again from The Great Outdoors Sentiment set and it is such a sweet message to complete this sweet story of fun and friendship. :)

Laters!

Hello Autumn...

Hey, hey!

I've got a card to share using a couple more of the cute stamps by Kristin Farnsworth that were part of the newest release at Stamping Bella. Here I've paired the Sweet Mushroom Hedgie with the Mushroom Border and colored them all in rich, autumnal colors. Whether this little hedgie is looking for a place to rest or is enjoying a yummy snack, there is no denying that these two stamps work perfectly together. I'm also thinking about cutting apart the Mushroom Border stamp itself so that next time I ink it up I can mix up the various groupings, making it even more versatile for future scene building. To finish off the card I added a small sentiment from the Autumn Sentiment set to a little banner and sprinkled a few enamel dots in coordinating Fall colors around it. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

I'm Under Your Spell...

 Hello there!

Awww... October! Spooky season has officially arrived and I am here for it. What better way to welcome in this frightfully delightful month than with a fun witchy card. This larger A6 sized Postage Collage card was actually colored over a month ago during one of my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Lives over on Facebook. I mixed and matched all of the great accessory images in the Lucinda's Lair and Sorsha's Spell Room sets to capture these individual glimpses into witch Lucinda's magical abode. If I remember correctly, the whole thing ran a bit longer than the two hours I try to keep my Lives under but I'm so in love with this card that the extra time was totally worth it! Plus, it really didn't take much to complete the card afterwards... just matting it and getting it on a card base before adding glossy accents to Lucinda's glasses and the potion bottles. :)

Ok then, I'm currently busy drawing up new images so I gotta run.

Toodles!
