Wednesday challenge

Good morning!

So who else teared up just a bit last night during "To Sir With Love"?
I'm not ashamed to admit it! :)
That's all I'm going to say about it for now, because I don't want to spoil Glee for anyone who hasn't watched it yet.

I have a card for the new ATS challenge to use buttons and ribbon and I wanted to use them in a way other than my norm. So I thought about it for a bit and realized that if I twisted the ribbon and used glue dots to hold it down then it could pass as some pretty sweet seaweed. From there it wasn't too big of a leap to use the buttons as bubbles and luckily I had just the stamps to complete the scene, LOL! ;)
Fathom Calmsea is on the scene again and this time she and Lio are joined by Seamoor and Moki as well. Looks like a fun little gathering of friends beneath the waves, doesn't it? I even added glitter to all of the 'water' they are swimming in to make it look even more festive. :)
So now it's your turn to pull out those buttons and ribbon and see what you can create with them for the challenge.Remember, every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

Alright, I've got to go get busy... so much to do so little time, as they say.
Have a stamp happy day my friends! :)

  11. I'm so glad I decided to pop by the ol' blog-o world before heading to bed....even though its after 1am here. This card has totally made my night Amy....you're such a clever chickee. Inspired!! I couldn't even imagine using twisted ribbon to replicate underwater foilage. This is such a beautiful little card, I love how Fathom has such a darling, and adoring crowd of cute wee ones around her......totally brought a smile to my face (something you would appreciate if you knew what I've just seen. Have just subjected myself to the season finales for Bros&Sis, Grey's & just now.....Private Practice!! Who knew I had so many tears bottled up inside??)
Anyways.....the Gaga episode of Glee airs here tomorrow night and I know that'll make me smile (even if its on the inside).
    Hugs, Michey xxx

  25. Oh, I even cried hearing the JOURNEY medley and Queen oh, and not to mention, Somewhere Over the Rainbow! I was hearing it in Bruddah Iz Kamakawiwoole's version (our Hawaiian Superman). Heck, I cried at every song they sang. I suppose I was sad that the season had ended and that I have to wait for the new season! :)

Luv your card Amy with the ribbon seaweed! Clever! Always amazing!

  28. Love what you did with the buttons and 'seaweed.' I loved last night's Glee episode-- so many sweet moments. But you know I started lauging when Shuester cried a couple of times (I couldn't take him seriously for some reason). I think it was because I saw him in the movie Music & Lyrics (you have to see it!). But then I started crushing on him again after his ukelele-playing Somewhere Over the Rainbow! Ahhhhh, I'll miss you Glee!
