It's the first Wednesday of the new year and that means it is time for a new challenge over at the ATS challenge blog! This week is all about creating a tissue box cover. Now I think that by now I've pretty firmly established the fact that I am NOT a "project alterer" so I didn't exactly create an entire cover. But I figured that as pretty as some of the tissue boxes are these days, I could get away with just adding a bit of stamping and embellishing to it. ;)
So since I was starting off with this Valentine looking rose box I decided to use Emma with rose and the chest, both from the Take a Seat set, to continue the 'rose' theme. After I had them colored up all I did was border punch some cream card stock and add some ribbon... voila!
After I got that done I wanted to create a coordinating card too, what can I say... I like being back in my comfort zone. LOL! It's quick and simple and I couldn't help using more of that Sweet Nectar paper that I've found myself being drawn back to time and again, I just love the color combo on this!
Anywho, if you feel like playing along with the tissue box challenge don't forget that every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your card/project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

ReplyDeleteHi Amy. No snow here. You? Your tissue box is adorable. I like the idea of a board punch and dress up what is already there. Now, your card...I have never seen this paper before, but I am with you on the I love the color scheme. The colors are so rich and yummy. This is just wonderful.
