Just beyond Sweet November Land, deep within a dark and twisty wood, there is a place where you will find haunted houses, creepy castles and mad scientist labs galore. This spooky village is inhabited year round by a host of quirky characters that are both a little sweet and a little sour. The only time that they venture out into our world is on that one special night of October 31st. It is then that they can blend in with the crowds of innocent trick-or-treaters and play mischief on all they meet.
So light up a jack o' lantern and hold it high as we cautiously trek on into the woods to see who we can find...
Just outside of the first ramshackle little haunted house we come to, we are greeted by a whole host of wide eyed jack o' lanterns. At first it looks as if the house is empty but then a curly haired bundle of spiderwebs and magic charms comes bounding out the door with a quick "hi-hello"! Her wide eyes don't miss a thing as she quickly introduces herself as Hazel the witch. She reaches out a hand to shake but as she does so a big fuzzy spider scurries up her arm then up to the brim of her hat. I think you must have looked a bit taken aback because Hazel quickly dismisses our worry by letting us know that it is only her friend Webster and he doesn't bite... much...
She offers for us to join her inside and 'sit a spell' but something about her mischievous grin says that perhaps we best keep moving. Who's to say that Webster wasn't an innocent traveler like ourselves once? ;)
Very quickly check out Hazel's candy before we leave...
The Hazel and Webster candy kit includes; one Sweet November Hazel and Webster rubber stamp, nine 6x6 sheets of My Mind's Eye Blackbird paper, small Studio G acrylic sentiment stamps, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
In the next clearing, up on a hill, the silhouette of a large castle looms in the moonlit sky. One can only wonder who might call such an imposing fortress home? I dare you to be the first to knock on that large oak door... double dare ya!
KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK. Nothing!
Brrrrr... did it get colder all of a sudden? Wait! Whats that? Eeek! Ghosts! But they don't seem to be flying after us, no they are being driven out of the castle by a crazy little vampire!
As the last spirit disappears into the night the vampire turns his attention to us, "More trespassers?"
We quickly explain that we are simply travelers passing through and this seems to appease the vampire called Thurston. He in turn tells us how he is in a never ending battle to keep the local free-loading spooks and specters out of his castle... just when he thinks that he has gotten rid of them all the ghosts simply re-appear! Thurston insists that it is all quite maddening but I suspect he would miss the game and the company if they ever truly disappeared. ;)
As if on cue we see a small ghost trying to slip down a chimney and Thurston quickly excuses himself before turning into a bat and flying up after his 'foe'.
But it looks like he left some candy behind, take a look...
The Thurston candy kit includes; one Sweet November Thurston rubber stamp, nine 6x6 sheets of Making Memories Toil & Trouble paper, small Studio G acrylic stamp set, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :)
The candies will stay open through Sunday, September 4th and I will announce the winners on Monday, September 5th. And don't forget... Sunday night is now the official release date for all of September's new stamps over at ATS!
Alrighty, I'm sure that you are bewitched by Hazel and thirstin' for some more Thurston inspiration so hop on over to the Sweet November Gals' blogs for loads of frightfully fun cards! Today Leanne is joining Nancy and Rachel and I promise that you won't want to miss a single card!
Once again... instead of using random generator I will be printing out names and tossing them in a hat SO if you leave comments for the SN gals on their blogs, you will get an extra name in the hat for each one that you do... this will up your chances of winning the candy... fun, fun, fun! :)

Well that's it, day one of our September SN previews has totally drained me, LOL!
