Hi friends!
So how is this week treating you so far? Things are pretty good here but my energy is feeling a bit sapped at the moment. It's nothing that a little rest and possibly some chocolate can't cure though. Luckily, I've got today to test out that theory. ;)
My card is another quickie... though I did continue on my mini goal of inking up stamps that I haven't gotten around to using yet. This time around I wanted to play with one of my newer Gorjuss Girl stamps and this darling girl with her massive head of hair was calling to me. Sitting images are always so much fun because I love how they can interact with the lines or layers of the papers you choose to use with them. Which in this case, is just a single sheet of paper as the background. But how cute is she resting atop that natural 'ledge' it created? Add to that a pretty flower, a little butterfly and some pearls and this card was complete!
Even though I didn't have a lot of time to spend on it, that doesn't mean that I didn't have fun creating it. And the pretty pastels of it have me longing for spring. :)
Alrighty then, time for me to sign off. Thanks for stopping by!
Later gators!

I've never seen that Gorjuss girl before! She's supercute, and so is your card. Gotta love "layered" paper like that!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Amy! It's so much fun if you can let the paper do all the hard work, isn't it? That image is very cute and I would love to make an attempt at "imitating" that flower. I'd better make a note lest I forget where I'd seen it...

Gorgeous colouring Amy, she looks fabulous! I have such a thing for Gorjuss girls - they could just be my favourite character stamps. Enjoy the chocolate... I bought some today too and am looking forward to a chunk or two later, Jo x

ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous coloring on this image Amy. Hope the chocolate provides the boost you need! And we are both on the same path of using our stuff - mine is more geared to all those paper pads I bought last year rather than stamps though.

ReplyDeleteI've got this great newyears resolution to get those neglected stamps out in the open ~ the same as you have ~ ink up lots of old/new stamps, the easier to create a card with!
I have waaay to many just HAD to buy 'em.. marveled at, sooo pretty!.. cut & mounted up and put in a folder... to never see daylight again.. *lol*
Hi Amy. This is really cute! I love how the dp is just perfect for her to take a little sitdown on. Of course her hair is just perfect! Love, love the way you color your fair on all your stamps as you know. I hope that you get the chocolate you need and a little down time to go with it. lol...I am finally off for my half day and already managed to buy some food for the rest of the week and pick up the M&Ms from school. I am feeling really worn down from my cold so I am going to take a Dayquil and go take a nap for about and hour. I figure that should give me some energy to get creative tonight. Hugs, Lisa
