TGIF my stampin' peeps!
I've got another Easter card to share today and once again I'm using a non-Easter themed stamp to create with. This Kraftin Kimmie Seraphina was part of their angel release back before Christmas but even then I knew that I wanted to pull her back out once spring time rolled around. You see, Seraphina with her little birdie friends, was my fave KK angel and I could just see coloring them up to look like newly hatched chicks. So I waited and I waited until the time was right to clip this angel's wings and turn her into a fresh faced Easter beauty instead.
Because I thought her dress looked very Jane Austen-ish I wanted to use really soft and delicate looking papers with her. I ended up using a mix of Crate and Prima papers but it was that branch print that really helped pull it all together. Can't you just feel the spring breeze blowing through the yard with the scent of apple blossoms carried upon it? Seraphina and her chickies sure can. :)
Ok friends, time for me to get ready for the day.
Have a good one!

ReplyDeleteI love this card! I saw the pic before I read your post and it's so funny you said the dress is Jane Austin-ish because I thought that kind of looks like Elizabeth Bennet(or maybe the way she looks in my head,LOL). Just love this:)

Hi Amy. I am finally getting time to tell you just how adorable I think your card is. I have actually been over everyday this week, and I just haven't had 5 minutes to tell you how awesome your cards have been this week. As you know it always takes me longer than 5 minutes to talk. lol.. Anyway, this is just so pretty and soft. I just love her little chickies and oh my word, her green dress so reminds me of a dress my Mom made for me one Easter that looked very much like this. I hope you have had a great week. Hugs, Lisa
