Olo!
I've got another summer inspired card to share today and this one features the ever adorable Wryn from Tiddly Inks. I had gotten the Sweets for my Sweet clear stamp set in my last CC Designs order and Wryn with her two scoops of ice cream was looking like she needed to be inked up asap. I'm sure it is the warmer weather that has me craving a heaping waffle cone but since I didn't have any to sooth my craving, coloring up Wryn will have to be the next best thing. ;)
I don't get it often but I have a total sweet tooth for bubblegum flavored ice cream, so it was fun giving Wryn both blue and pink bubblegum yumminess in her cone. Mmmm... don't mind me while I do a Homer Simpson like drool right now, LOL! Back to the actual card, more paper scraps got put to use and I even dug deep in my stash for an old decorative ice cream cone brad. A bit of ribbon and my go to pearls and this card was done.
Now the question is, do I run to the store after work for some ice cream or be good and resist the temptation? Decisions, decisions...
Ta ta for now!

You are my sunshine...
Hey, hey, hey!
If you are a long time reader of this blog you might just remember the Wild Sprout gracing today's card as one I styled waaaaaaaay back in 2009 for the TGF Design a Sprout contest. I went back into the archives to find the original post with her and man did that bring back some memories! :)
This little beach bummin' beauty is Addy and I am so excited to see her become an official digital stamp over at The Greeting Farm. She's just in time for the scorchin' hot days of summer and Addy is ready to beat the heat in her cutest bikini and settle under an umbrella with her fluffiest beach towel.
I paired Addy up with a piece of one of my all time most favorite papers ever, Bella Blvd's All Inclusive stripe. I love, love, love the color combo going on here and I am happy to report that I completely used up this scrap by cutting it up and putting both sides of the paper to work... yeah! I actually used the Garden Variety sketch challenge as my jumping off point for the design and while I may have veered away from it just a bit, the bones are still there so I'll go ahead and enter Addy into the challenge while I still have time.
Okey dokey, enjoy your weekend and keep cool! :)

Happy Birthday...
Hello friends!
I'm happy to be back with a card to share today. I really didn't anticipate this summer being as busy for me as it has turned out to be so I'm still working on finding a good balance. Sure, I'm working a lot more these days but if I'm honest that isn't the only thing that has been taking some of my crafty time and attention. Other fun distractions have presented themselves and I am letting myself enjoy those things guilt free. ;)
So while I may not have something to share every day, I'm not going anywhere... promise. I'm just out there living it up a little during these good ol' days of summertime. :)
Anywho, I did put together a little birthday card using Cupcake Cutie from My Favorite Things. This sweet stamp set had caught my eye back when it first released but I hemmed and hawed for quite a while before finally caving in and ordering her. Then once I had her Cupcake Cutie kinda got lost amongst the (ahem) clutter of my desk. So when I rediscovered her after a bit of much needed organizing I vowed to get her inked up right away. In fact everything about this card was a result of my desk cleaning. It always feels better to get those odds and ends onto a card rather than just stored away for who knows how long.
Currently, with the exception of stamps, I'm trying to cut back on my crafty purchases until I can use up more of what I already have. Which is really easy to do at the moment because we are in that lull of not much new product coming out. The real test will come once summer CHA rolls around next month and all of the new papers and goodies are revealed for the second half of the year. Hopefully I can make a dent before then because I know how weak I am when it comes to new paper... I'll fold like a cheap suit. LOL
Alrighty, that's all I've got for this fine Friday.

Hello, lovely...
Olo!
Have you seen all of the changes happening over at the formerly ATS store? Christine has changed the name to CC Designs Rubber Stamps to better reflect the direction of the business, so now our review preview Wednesdays are on the new CC Designs blog. :)
This week the little Sweet November princesses are back in the spotlight and I have chosen Margriet to sashay onto another card. The first time around I colored her up with a very Snow White look and I wanted to do a complete 180 from that. So out came the pinks and greens. Now Margriet looks right at home in the pastel hues of this spring garden. Because I was in a rush to get this one finished I fell back on a tried and true layout design that I use quite a bit. The flower and pearl embellishments are also standard Amy fare but if it ain't broke don't fix it, right? ;)
Now, be sure to take a look at all the fabulous princess cards that my fellow teammates have created over on the new CC Designs blog.

Shore do love you...
Hi guys!
I've got a quick little card to share with ya today featuring one of the new Sister Stamps mermaids that were introduced this month. This coy, or should I say koi (hahahahahaha), little beauty is Eliana and I think she is just super sweet. Because the papers I pulled to use with her were so cool and muted I decided to make Eliana more of a lake or river mermaid than a bright and tropical one. Instead of koi I would say she has a bit of trout in her. ;)
I couldn't find a sentiment stamp that I liked for this one so I went to the computer instead. Shocking, I know, but perhaps not so much if you could see the disaster zone that is my crafty room these days. Let's just say that working as much as I have been isn't conducive to keeping my space even semi organized. I would rather spend what time I do have in there creating than cleaning up after myself but it is hitting that breaking point where I'm going to have to deal with it or go crazy. I know that I will feel better once I take care of it and can find things again so you know what I'll be doing come Wednesday. :)
Later gators!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Just because...
Hello, hello!
I'm just quickly popping in this morning, as I already feel like I'm running behind. There is a memorial race going on in town this morning so I'm going to have to head to work earlier than normal. The participants pretty much take over the highway that I use to get to work so I'll be driving the back hills route instead. Since I really don't want to risk running down any runners or cyclists it will be a longer commute.
So, earlier this week I was lucky enough to be the winner of the Girly Girl challenge at The Greeting Farm and I was able to pick a digi stamp of my choice as the prize. Wild Sprout Jessica was on my wish list so I was excited to finally play around with this cutie. And when I saw that the new Farm Fresh challenge is summer themed cards I suddenly envisioned her not as wearing regular ol' glasses but fabulous sun glasses instead. ;)
I also did a bit of a body swap to give Jessica a more summer ready ensemble. All I had to do was stamp up Wild Sprout Summer and give Jessica her shorts and legs. Once she was ready for the warmer weather I paired her up with some of that Lakeside paper that I'm so in love with. The whole card came together super quick after that.
Well I really should be going. Take care and have a fabulous weekend! :)

Thanks a bunch...
Hola amigas!
Well, the movie was beyond excellent... I laughed, I cried, I was awestruck, I could have watched it again. LOL! We had such a good time in town that time got away from me a bit which is why I didn't have anything to share yesterday. But I am back to work and back on track so hopefully it will be a while before I'm absent here again.
I was cleaning up my desk a bit yesterday and came across this SOG Blossom Fairy digi that I'd printed out ages ago and I really wanted to color her up. She ended up being one of the rare times that I color an image before picking out papers to guide me on a color scheme. But I really just wanted to play around with some purple/pink hair and this is the result, I gotta say that I'm very happy with how Blossom turned out. And because I had a fairy to get on a card I decided to play along in this week's Flutter By challenge which is a great sketch and helped to bring this card together. I could have spent hours searching for the perfect paper to use but because the sketch had that single strip I just grabbed my bag of green scraps and used the first piece that I pulled. Totally sped up the whole creative process and I think it actually works pretty nicely with the coloring. :)
Alrighty then, I should get a move on with my day.
Adios!

You rock...
Good morning!
Today's the day! I've finally got a day off and I'm heading to the movie theater to see Star Trek this afternoon... so excited. I don't get to go to the theater often, the last movie I went to was The Hobbit, so this is a real treat. No doubt I'll be splurging on some popcorn too, LOL! And since the weather has been a bit grey and stormy I don't even feel bad about spending a few hours in the dark. ;)
As for my card today, Wednesday means review preview over at the ATS blog and this time I've colored up Li'l Lolita Bikini Lylah. I was tempted to go bright and bold with some of the summer papers I've already used this past week but then decided to switch things up with a softer color palette. The Atlantic 6x6 paper pad fit the bill and I really liked how the addition of some darker navy blue really pulled everything together with that summer time vibe I still wanted to convey. As I flipped through the papers I spotted this print with all of the circles and my first thought was that Lylah's beach ball would fit right in with that design. And the bonus was I didn't have to go searching for a sentiment because there were a bunch already printed right on the paper. Sweet! :)
Be sure to check out what the rest of the CCD team has created with the new Lolita and Drozy stamps for June by hopping on over to the ATS blog.

May your feet take you...
Hello again!
Yesterday was a long day so no new card got made. But rather than have another absent day here, I figured that I would share a non-coloring card once again.
Pebbles recently released a line of papers called Lakeside and as soon as I saw it I knew that it was a must have. Having lived most of my life on "Beautiful Lake Chelan" I am most definitely a lake girl... a quick Google search found this good pic of my home town and this place has a cool aerial shot of the lake. So you can see why every summer when beautiful paper lines are released with tropical seaside themes, they are great but not really representative of the summers I know and love. Lake stuff has just been so hard to come by... until now. :)
And while I'm positive I will be using this Lakeside range with some of my character stamps these first cards where all about the paper. On this card I actually ended up using so much of it that I didn't leave room for a sentiment, thus the inside got stamped with, "May your feet take you where your heart wants to go". Yep, this one makes me a very happy camper, LOL!
That's all I got for now, ta ta for now!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill
paper- Pebbles (Lakeside)
Colorbox creamy brown ink
Kaiser Craft pearls
Yesterday was a long day so no new card got made. But rather than have another absent day here, I figured that I would share a non-coloring card once again.
Pebbles recently released a line of papers called Lakeside and as soon as I saw it I knew that it was a must have. Having lived most of my life on "Beautiful Lake Chelan" I am most definitely a lake girl... a quick Google search found this good pic of my home town and this place has a cool aerial shot of the lake. Hello...
Hey there!
I'm afraid it's just another manic Monday around here (wish it was a Sunday, 'cause that's my fun day... oh oh ohhh). LOL, sorry about that, I was having a bit of a Bangles flash back moment. ;)
Seriously though, I'm anxious for my day off to roll around because I have plans to finally go see the new Star Trek movie! Now while I admit to being a nerd in many ways I was never much of a Trekkie, sure I can remember watching the original in re-runs during my youth when it would come on after The Flintstones and Jetsons every weekday afternoon, but the movies never grabbed me. The current reboot though is a whole other story... LOVE it! Plus, Into Darkness has Benedict Cumberbatch, who is just amazing. If you haven't yet seen the BBC Sherlock series I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed! So yea, I'm just a bit excited for Wednesday to get here. :)
Ok, as for my card today, I made this one to enter into the Garden Variety challenge over at TGF. This one is all about making a Girly Girl card so I went straight to my collection of Miss Anyas. Something about them just says feminine and girly to me. Still being in a very summer time frame of mind, I grabbed the Miss Anya from the old Rain, Snow and Shine set. I wanted open eyes though so I opted for a bit of a head swap. I loved all the curly hair on Miss Anya Bags so she was a perfect candidate for this make over. I think they came together quite nicely and I have to say, this altered Miss Anya has me longing for a new set sometime in the future... it sure feels like it has been a while since we got any Miss Anyas or My Guy Ians. OMG, I would kill for some summer looking My Guys! We don't have any dressed in shorts or anything. I guess that is just one more thing to be keeping my fingers crossed for.
Okey dokey, time for me to get a move on.
Talk at'cha later!

Hey Girl...
Hi guys!
Today I'm playing along with the SOG June sketch challenge. It's a pretty clean and simple design and I didn't fuss it up too much because Summer Kaylee here didn't need much more than that cool palm tree paper behind her to really shine. I don't know, there was just something about her look and relaxed attitude that got me thinking of her as a laid back SoCal kind of gal. I even gave Kaylee a darker, sun kissed skin tone which I'm totally jealous of... I can never pull that look off unfortunately... le sigh.
No, I've got a shorter work day today so when I eventually venture out into the sunshine I'll be slathering on the SPF 30 to avoid the lovely shade of red that I turn otherwise, LOL! ;)
Later gators!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- BoBunny (Key Lime)
digital stamp- Some Odd Girl (Summer Kaylee)
stamp- Studio Calico (sentiment)
ink- Memento rich cocoa and Colorbox creamy brown
My Mind's Eye enamel dots
EK Success gold pen
Sharpie white marker

Gold star...
TGIF my friends!
I'm currently in the middle of a seven day stretch at work so there is plenty keeping me busy at the moment. That's also why there was no new card yesterday, I didn't find any time to get crafty and I've finally gotten to a place where I can tell myself it's ok if I don't have a post every day. That doesn't mean I plan on letting this place collect a bit of dust like last summer but if, on occasion, I just don't get time to create I'm not going to stress out about it like I used to. :)
So this is the card that I started on Wednesday and I finally got it all finished up yesterday. I had a ball coloring up Simona, who is one of the three new mermaids released by Sister Stamps this month. Can you say adorable? I seriously love each of these little mermaids but I think it was Simona's exuberance and look of pure joy that got her on a card first. As for the papers, I raided my scrap bags until I had a random mix that was bright and fun enough to match Simona's energy. Those Doodlebug fish were a must as soon as I found them, I think it looks like they are following their mermaid friend to an under the sea party. ;)
Alrighty then, I'm outta here... but before I go, my pal Tress is celebrating her 1 year blogiversary and she has three blog candies to give away this weekend. So be sure to congratulate her on the milestone and get your name in the hat for some fun stamping goodies!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Kaiser Craft, Bo Bunny, Bella Blvd, Doodlebug
stamps- Sister Stamps (Simona), Studio Calico (sentiment)
ink- Memento tuxedo black, Versamark, Colorbox creamy brown
American Crafts Zing white embossing powder
Timeless Twine
Doodlebug gems
Studio Calico vellum speech bubble
Copic markers:
skin- E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
hair- Y32, Y35, Y38
everything else- YG01, YG03, YG95, BG000, BG01, BG02, BG05, BG07, BG09, Y11, YR04, YR27

Waving hello...
Olo!
It's hard to believe we are far enough into the month for an ATS review preview already but here we are. I have a feeling that this summer is going to fly by. Anywho, today we are revisiting the newest stamps to be added to the CC designs range and I've colored up Swiss Pixie Snorkels for a happy summer inspired card. Giving her an underwater place to play in was a total no-brainer so I found another cool ombre paper in that Cosmo Cricket Summer Love paper pad and this one looked like waves. I really like how the graduating color makes it look like the water is getting deeper below Snorkels. I needed some more color though and that is why I added her fishy friends and the stripes in the background. Now that I've pulled out my bag of summer themed stickers I'm tempted to go through it and see if anything in it inspires more cards in the next couple months. It would be nice to whittle that collection down a bit. Oh, and I also played around a bit by adding some tiny seashell dies to Snorkels' hands. It doesn't show up real great in the photo but the sand dollar actually has the traditional sand dollar star shape embossed on it, which is very cute in person. I think it just finishes off the whole seen and I like how it looks as if she has been diving for 'treasures'. :)
Alrighty, be sure to check out the ATS blog for plenty more inspiration from my fellow teamies. They are rockin' this whole summer theme fo' sho'! LOL

Bubble over with fun...
Hey there!
I got such a sweet surprise in the mail yesterday from my crafty pals, Heidi and her beautiful daughter Brooke, who sent me this adorable mermaid stamp from Lili of the Valley. I've had my eye on the LOTV mermaids for a while now but hadn't ordered any yet. So this out of the blue gift totally put a smile on my face and obviously got my creative juices flowing right away because here she is on a card already. Thank you SO much Heidi and Brooke! :)
When I get stamps like this, with little critter friends around them, I have a tendency to cut them apart and make separate stamps that I can then use together or alone. This was especially easy to do since the LOTV come unmounted. So even though I used all three of the seahorses that came with this little mermaid they are positioned differently and I like that freedom. I decided to keep the design CAS with just a bit of that paper to give me my color palette. And those new twinkle blooms that ATS just got in are even cooler in person... I liked that their shiny appearance could pass for sea anemones. There really isn't much more to it than that... cute, quick, and oh so fun to put together. :)
And with that I shall bid you adieu, to you and you and you... ;)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Hello sunshine...
Hi guys!
I'm kicking off this week by playing along in the Garden Variety challenge over at The Greeting Farm. It is celebrating hitting the half way point in this year, day 155. You have to break down that number and use 1 of something, 5 of something else and 5 of another... so basically, it's a recipe challenge. I inked up the new Winky Bean, hello cuteness, and paired her up with 1 sheet of patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket Summer Love paper pad. That ombre yellow seemed to highlight her sunny disposition perfectly. I then added 5 white blossoms for Winky to frolic amongst and 5 buttons in a variety of bright colors to finish off the entire card. Sure, it's pretty simple but I didn't want to stray too far from the recipe.
Okey dokey, time for me to go get busy.
Later gators!

Hello summer...
TGIF my friends!
I actually have today off from work with nothing pressing on the ol' to-do list so I'm feeling as free as a bird, LOL! The days have been creeping back up into the mid 80's and summer is definitely upon us now so I'm thinking I'll be enjoying some time outdoors. :)
And while it still may be a bit too early for me to go swimming in the lake, little Birgitta here sure looks like she is ready for a dip in the water. I made this card for the CC Designs preview over on the ATS blog earlier this week and I wanted to make sure that I shared it here as well. This new Birgitta is such a great addition to my collection of sweet summer themed stamps and how perfect is that new The Pier paper with her? As soon as I spied that popsicle print I knew I had a winner. The tag with the sentiment also came from one of the 12x12 papers in that collection, which I'm excited to say the ATS store are now carrying as well. I love cutting them up for fun accents and quick, easy sentiments on my cards.
Alrighty, I'm off to see what kind of trouble I can get myself into. ;)
See ya tomorrow when I'll have some princess winners to announce!

Sup dude?
Hi guys!
I'm jumping in real quick to get a card that I made for the TGF Farm Fresh challenge entered in time. This one is all about the guys and creating a masculine card. Since I already had some summer themed papers out on my desk I wanted to find a little dude who was ready for some sunshine and good times. Creeper Noah looked to have just the laid back attitude that I was needing... I love those cool dreads, LOL. In fact, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a girly dread head Creeper friend for Noah sometime in the future. Anywho, the layout is very simple but I think the fun sentiment really helps to bring it all together. :)
Okey dokey, don't forget that there is still time to leave comments for a chance at winning the new SN princesses. And I'll see y'all manana!
Supply list:

Sharpie white marker

Princess party candy is sweet...
Hello and welcome to the fourth and final day of the June Sweet November previews!
It's that time of month when we leave the everyday behind and step into the magical world of Sweet November land. And this time we are not the only visitors to frolic in the forest glens and converse with all the whimsical characters that call Sweet November Land home... this month there are little princesses to be found there as well!
As we make our way to the hidden meadow it is surprising to find it decked out with brightly colored banners and streamers, as well as various quilted blankets spread out on the grass. A small princess is busily skipping from one spot to the next but she takes a moment to say hello when she sees us. Princess Margriet is so excited because she has been planning this very special princess party for ages. Now with the help of some forest friends, and a fairy or two, she has just put the finishing touches on the decor for this royal event. Of course we are all invited to attend and we are even given tiaras to wear so that we too can be princesses for a day. When Gwendolyn, Eleonore, and Williamina all arrive the princess party really starts hopping... or should I say twirling? Margriet is such a gracious hostess, with her attention to detail a day more girly and fun than this has rarely been seen. What a wonderful way to wrap up this month's visit to Sweet November Land. And as a parting gift Margriet has some sweet candy to give away... take a look...
The Margriet candy kit includes; one Sweet November Princess Margriet rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of Basic Grey June Bug paper, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, flower jewels, epoxy ladybug stickers, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :) The candy will stay open through Friday, June 7th and I will announce the winners on Saturday, June 8th.
Don't forget to check out the Sweet November Gals' blogs next! Tress and Nancy have got quite the pretty party going on! :)
Instead of using random generator I will be printing out names and tossing them in a hat SO if you leave a comment for the SN gals on there blogs, you will get extra names in the hat... this will up your chances of winning the candy. Fun, fun, fun!
Thanks so much for joining us for the entire Sweet November June release. Be sure to hop over to the ATS Blog today for even more SN Princess loveliness and another chance at winning the entire set of four princesses! And all of the new June stamps will be available for purchase tomorrow night in the All That Scraps store. :)

Sweet princess candy...
Hello and welcome to day three of the June Sweet November previews!
It's that time of month when we leave the everyday behind and step into the magical world of Sweet November land. And this time we are not the only visitors to frolic in the forest glens and converse with all the whimsical characters that call Sweet November Land home... this month there are little princesses to be found there as well!
Making our way to the edge of the enchanted forest another little princess literally runs right into us. Slightly out of breath she is relieved to see our group of friendly faces and introduces herself as Princess Williamina. Apparently she had taken a wrong turn into Sweet November Land and found herself in the neighboring spooky Halloween forest instead. Being such a small princess she was quite frightened by the characters she ran into there. Luckily, just before that crazy witch Hilda could cast a spell on poor Williamina, a quick flying little hummingbird who had followed the hapless princess zoomed in and distracted the witch long enough for Williamina to get away. He then proceeded to lead her Highness back to the borders of the enchanted forest and to safety. She is so grateful for her new friends help that she digs into the pockets of her flouncy, frilly gown and gives him some special princess candy as thanks. And being a generous young lady, Williamina also has some candy to share with one of the lucky crafters in our group as well... take a peek...
The Williamina candy kit includes; one Sweet November Princess Williamina rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, flower jewels, wood veneer birds, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... Be sure to skip on over to the Sweet November Gals' blogs next! Tress and Nancy have really outdone themselves with this flouncy, frilly princess! :)
