The hap-hap-happiest Christmas...

It's time for another Scenic Saturday card over on the Stamping Bella blog and since the beautiful Winter Window background stamp set is this month's stamp and die of the month I couldn't wait to pair the larger of the two windows with the fabulous new Curvy Girl and her Tree. When you've got two large sized stamps like this it can feel tricky getting them both on a standard A2 sized card without the whole scene feeling cramped and cluttered. It's times like these when you want to remind yourself that it is ok to shift your stamps to one side or the other and let part of the image be cut off by the edge of your card stock. There is no rule that says you have to see the entire image on every card that you make. Think of it like taking a photo at a party, just because you don't see part of a table or only half a window in your pic, your mind knows that the table has two more legs and the window has curtains hanging beside it, it fills in that missing information. So when it came time to stamp I made sure that part of Curvy Girl's tree was off the right side of the card and the window lost just a bit off the left. This gave them both more room to breath in the overall card design yet they still come together nicely to create a warm and cozy Christmas scene. All I had to do after that was add one of the great sentiments from the Holiday Fun Sentiment set and this card totally makes the nice list. LOL!
