Hello, hello!

Today's a very happy day because after a much anticipated wait, sneak peeks of the brand new spring release from Hello Bluebird begin! Once again I have been lucky enough to be invited to join the celebration as a guest designer and I couldn't be more in love with these new stamps if I tried, seriously... this may just be my most favorite HB release to date. What makes this release so special you ask? Well, it is no secret that I love backgrounds for my stamps and while I free hand many in myself I am a huge fan of background stamps that save me time and look amazing. There are two such backgrounds in this release that I am totally geeking out about! The first is this Pathway background and I paired it with the cuties from the new Picked For You set as I stamped and masked them into this lovely meadow. The backgrounds are large 6x6 clear stamps but even if you don't make 6x6 cards don't let that scare you off because there is so much versatility in shifting them around on smaller card bases to get completely different looks. For this card I opted to go with a long slimline design which cut off a lot of the path and tree trunk but it allowed me room to color in the top of the tree which isn't part of the original stamp, creating a unique version of this spring scene. The sentiment is also from a separate set called Happy Wishes and reads better in person unfortunately but I promise you can see it much clearer in person. All of the new stamps will be available in the Hello Bluebird store on Thursday the 9th at 7 pm MST.
