Hello there!
I'm back participating in this month's new release blog hop with Colorado Craft Company. There is so much fall and Halloween fun in this release including a new Lovely Legs set, two new Big and Bold stamp sets, three new Whimsy World sets and three Savvy Sentiments sets along with coordinating dies for each. To celebrate this
release 3C is giving away a new stamp set from the release to nine lucky commenters. You can either leave a comment here on the blog hop or on my Instagram account: @amyyoungforever for a chance to win. Entries
will be accepted until midnight mountain time Wednesday October 6th.
Winners will be randomly selected by 3C and announced on
their blog on Thursday, October 7th. And as for the hop, if you've come here from Donna Hitz' blog you are right on track. Next you will want to visit Kelly Griglione for even more inspiration. If you get lost along the way you can always check out the 3C blog
for the full list of participants.
I've got two cards to share today. The first features the new Lovely Legs Sitting Witch Slimline set. This sassy and stylish witch is taking a break from all the Halloween festivities as she rests atop the large slimline sized sentiment. Because I wanted a bit more color and a way to distinguish her gloved hands from the dark background I decided to color in some long, green hair flowing down behind her. The bright white text pops against the black background and a sprinkling of sequins that coordinate with her outfit add a bit of magic flowing across the card.
For my second card I used the new Big and Bold Zombie Friends set. As a big fan of The Walking Dead series and comics I had a great time coloring up this decaying arm as it bursts through the door. To play up the sense of action and movement I used a comic half tone stencil in the background. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on black card stock then trimmed into individual strips, again playing towards the whole comic book look I was going for on this creepy card. :)
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!
