Hello, hello!
Amy here with a sweet card to welcome in the fall season. I love the cute girls in the Autumn Days set so I decided to build a woodland scene, in all its fall glory, around the little walking gal. Because Hello Bluebird stamp sets are so easy to mix and match together, I also pulled out the Oh Nuts and Tree Neighbors stamp sets to help make this scene look unique and special. I began building this autumnal scene by stamping the girl, small pumpkin and larger mushroom on the left, using Memento rich cocoa ink. I then masked them off and stamped the pile of leaves and two more mushrooms. Once those were masked as well I stamped the large tree from the Tree Neighbors set, though I wiped away the ink from the upper hole before stamping so that my tree would only have a single hole in the trunk. Next, I grabbed the large branch from the Oh Nuts set and added it to the side of the tree. I also masked around the hole in the trunk so I could stamp the cute chipmunk with an acorn from the Autumn Days set right into the tree. Now it was time to add the larger pumpkin behind the tree, mask it and the large branch before completing the scene building process with the row of smaller trees in the background.
Once the scene was all stamped up, the coloring fun could begin. Autumn color palettes have always been some of my favorites, with their warm, earthy mix of hues. I opted for a mix of dark browns, yellow and orange with just a touch of robin's egg blue for a pop of contrast. The sentiment is from the Autumn Days set and I stamped it onto one of the long Word Bubbles die cuts so it looks like our little cutie is talking to the chipmunk. I hope this card inspires you to do some mixing and matching of your own stamp stash to create some fabulous fall cards this season. :)
