Be a Rainbow...

Hello!

I'm up on the Bellariffic Blog with another Scenic Saturday post and this week I've combined the cute Tiny Townie Wonderland Caterpillar has his Wings from the latest release with the older Gnome Backdrop stamp. With that giant mushroom he is perched on it seemed a like a fun and perfect pairing.

I began by stamping Tiny Townie Caterpillar and then masking off the entire image so that I could add the Gnome Backdrop right over top. Nothing fancy and all pretty straight forward as far as stamping techniques go. Almost instantly I had a whole world for this little guy to live in and with very little work on my part. That's why I'm such a big fan of all the backdrop stamps that are available, they make the whole scene building process that much easier. As I began coloring, the idea struck me that there were just enough mushrooms in the scene that I could color an entire rainbow of fungi. Once they were all looking lovely I decided to color Tiny Townie Caterpillar as a moth, in shades of black and white to contrast with all of the bright colors around him. The sentiment is an older one that I can't quite remember which set it came with, but it fits so well with the rainbow theme that came together on this sweet card.
