Let's Spook Up Some Fun...

Good morning!

It's September 30th and that means it is the last day of Stamptember at Simon Says Stamp. Earlier this month the super cute exclusive collaboration set with The Greeting Farm was released called, It's Spooky. I've been dying to ink up these adorable trick or treaters ever since my set arrived in the mail and I finally had the time this weekend to get them on a card. I did some masking so that all six could fit into the scene and I paired them with the long retired Home Sweet Home houses to create the neighborhood background. They all look so sweet as they await their special treats. :)

Now I know it's hard to believe but the set is still available at Simon Says but this might be the last day that they are available... I'm not 100% sure about how that works. So if you have been on the fence, don't wait too much longer, plus the free shipping at $25 offer ends today as well.

Have a good one!

By the light of the moon...

Hey friends!

Did you get your Sweet November Stamps newsletter last night? If so, then you not only got loads of inspiration from our amazing design team showcasing all of the spooktacular new digital stamps that were added to the shop this month but you also got the code to grab this cute freebie called, Witchwee Night Riders Alithea and Hover. I decided to do a sneak peek of these two high flying friends during yesterday's Live coloring session over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. I just love the soft, kinda vintage color palette that we ended up using on this card. The house and trees in the bottom corner are from the Autumn Cottages Background Builder set and I just let the stamping trail off the side and bottom of the card front so we just get a glimpse of Alithea flying over the rooftop. I always have fun crafting during the Lives but I gotta say, I think making Halloween cards with everyone might just be the most fun.  ;)

Now go enjoy the rest of this beautiful weekend!

Who Glows There...

Hello again!

It's another review weekend at Sweet November Stamps and this week I chose to ink up the sweet Hilde witch because she was just re-stocked in the store. This time around I had fun pairing her with some jacks from the older Carve Out Some Fun set and the tree from the Spooky Tree Background Builder set. Apparently this little gal just can't get enough pumpkins, LOL! Though I will admit, they are pretty good company on a spooky moonless night. If you would like to see the coloring of this card there is a short Reel on Instagram and a longer speed coloring over on the Sweet November Stamps YouTube channel

Later this morning at 11am PDT I will be Live on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page sharing a sneak peek of this month's SN Newsletter freebie that is coming out tonight. Hope you can join me for some more witchy cuteness!

Have a good one!

Resting Witch Face...

Hello!

It's time for another Scenic Saturday card over on the Blogabella. and of course I just had to ink up one of the fabulous new Holiday release stamps that hit the virtual shelves at Stamping Bella yesterday. Four fantastic Oddballs were added to the line-up and I chose Oddball Witchy Sistah 3 for my card today. And because I always enjoy a good stamp mash-up between my old and new stamps, I also brought the cute pumpkins from the Squishy Owl stamp in to flesh out this spooky Halloween scene.

I chose to ink up Oddball Witchy Sistah 3 and stamp her in the center of the card, then masked her off. This left room for me to flank her on either side with the big jacks that were left behind once I wiped the ink away from the Squishy Owl in the middle. With her adoring pumpkins in place, I thought it would be fun to play up the whole pumpkin theme and color her using the same pumpkin inspired palette so she would look like the Queen of Jack o'lanterns. Thus she got the long auburn hair and smoky green eye shadow that coordinates with her gourd-geous gown... LOL! With the coloring of the characters and ground complete, I masked them all off again and used a moon mask with the Copic airbrush system to add the dark night sky and full moon shining down like a spotlight on them all. The sentiment is from the Frightful and Delightful Sentiment set and it really made me laugh when paired with the droll stare of this Oddball beauty. Finally, I sketched in some magical sparkles floating around as well as a trio of bats flying through the air for some finishing touches that add a lot to this rather simple night background.  :)

Stay crafty my friends!

Release day at Stamping Bella!

TGIF!

Woot, woot... it's finally release day at Stamping Bella! The entire Holiday release of 26 stamps will be available for purchase at noon EST. To continue celebrating I figured I would share a couple more cards that I made using the new house images by Kristin Farnsworth.

This first one is called, Stories are Magic and it looks like it belongs to a sweet little kitchen witch who grows a magical garden of ingredients for all of her potions and poultices. The stack of books are sure to be practical guides to spell craft, healing, charm crafting and the like. The whole scene is so cozy and inviting that you know there is only white magic here. :)

Next, we get a whole lot spookier with the Tales from the Haunted Mansion stamp. I couldn't resist coloring in an eerie glow from all of the windows so that they would pop against the dark midnight sky. In the background a large full moon shines down and I even used my white pen to sketch in a few ghosts haunting the manor. This sentiment was borrowed from Oddball Frankenstein because I really liked how the font added to the creepy vibe of this fun Halloween card.

Now, before the release hits at noon, there are a few more sneak peeks to check out over on the ol' Blogabella. Oddball fans will not be disappointed!  ;)

Laters!
