Happy Birthday...

Olo!

So far it's shaping up to be a beautiful weekend. When the sun is shining like this it has me itchin' to get out and start planting some flowers but the chilly nights are still making it a bit early for that. So instead, I find myself stamping in the crafty room, which is always a good time too. :)

I'm entering today's card into this week's FFF challenge over at The Greeting Farm, it's an easy peasy one... paper piecing. Up Up Bean has been patiently waiting on my desk to see a little inky love and this seemed like just the challenge for her. I used some new Doodlebug paper to piece both her hat and the balloons. I added a bit of shading to both with my trusty Copics and I really like how the balloons now look kinda transparent with confetti flying inside them. And since Up Up looks to be celebrating I went ahead and made this a CAS birthday card.

Ok then, time for me to get ready for work.
Have a good one!

  4. Adorable. As I've said before, I love CAS cards. I have a difficult time making anything else because I always want the image to be the focal point.

It's a beautiful day here in Quartzsite, AZ. We took my mom to the Parker, AZ animal shelter to get two kittens. They had to put their 16 year old poodle to sleep last week. One kitten is mostly black with white socks, her name is Katie. The other is all white except a black spot on top if her head, her name is Bella.

  7. Hi Amy. This card is just adorable! I really love how your balloons turned out. They really do look like you can see through them. :0) We are enjoying our sunny days here, but our nights have still been in the low 30s and my old bones just don't like that so much. Lol... Looking at a long work week coming up so I am spending today coloring and making a couple of cards. Hope you and your family are all doing great. I really am missing chatting with you and seeing all the wonderful things you make. Hugs Lisa
