Rejoice...

Hello, hello!

As soon as I saw the new Glad Tidings set from Hello Bluebird with its beautiful herald angel I knew that I wanted to pair her up with the sweet baby Jesus from the older Away in a Manger set. I love how her pose looks almost protective as she hovers over him in the manger. Love and light emanates from each of them filling that holy night so long ago. I always enjoy playing with light and shadow when the opportunity presents itself and this was certainly one of those cards. And while it turned out very close to how I pictured it in my head, as I look at the scene now it sure seems like an awful lot of brown for a Christmas card, LOL! Hopefully the shimmery white Gallery #1 Frame I added helps pull focus back to the characters and lightens up the over all look just a bit. But I'm just going to embrace the non-traditional Christmas color scheme and enjoy this sweet scene.  ;)

Toodles!

  1. The brown is the perfect backdrop for the barn and allows the image to be highlighted. I think it works perfectly
