Hello there!
I'm excited to once again be invited to participate in the Colorado Craft Company new release blog hop. There are two new Big and Bold stamp sets and two new Whimsy World stamp sets along with coordinating dies for each. To celebrate this release CCC is super generous, providing two chances to win at each stop along the hop. The first chance to win a stamp set of your choice is by simply leaving a comment on this blog post. The second chance comes by visiting hop participant's Instagram posts and following the requirements there for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice. The giveaway ends on August 6th at midnight mountain daylight time and winners will be announced on Saturday, August 7th. You can find me @amyyoungforever on Instagram if you want that extra chance to win.
And as for the hop, if you came here from the 3C blog then you are right on track and to continue on with the parade of inspiration from my fellow hop participants then you will want to hop over to Angelica Conrad's blog next. :)
For my card today I stamped and masked together images from both of the new Whimsy World sets, Life Lasts and Be Free. These images remind me of lovely vintage postcards so I did my best to capture that same vintage vibe on my card. Rather than stamping on white card stock I chose a natural off white card and used a dark brown ink rather than black. With my Copic markers I did my best to create a faux watercolor wash in the background. Once everything had been colored in using my markers I grabbed a white Prismacolor pencil to add white highlights to the flowers and bird. A pretty scalloped die cut to frame it all in and I was quite happy with the finished look and it's nod towards the past.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!
