September release hop with Colorado Craft Company...

TGIF!

Welcome to the September new release blog hop with Colorado Craft Company. There are two new Big and Bold stamp sets as well as six new Anita Jeram sets and a bunch of the Anita Jeram 2x3 mini stamps, which were previously only available as freebies but have now been made available in the store for purchase. To celebrate this release 3C is generously providing two chances to win at each stop along the hop. The first chance to win a stamp set of your choice is by simply leaving a comment on this blog post. The second chance comes by visiting hop participant's Instagram posts and following the requirements there for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice. With 19 designers participating, that is 38 chances to win! The giveaway ends on September 6th at midnight mountain daylight time and winners will be announced on September 8th. You can find me @amyyoungforever on Instagram if you want that extra chance to win.

And as for the hop, if you came here from Donna Hitz' blog then you are right on track and to continue on with the parade of inspiration from my fellow hop participants then you will want to head over to Amy Tsuruta's blog next. :)

Because I LOVE the Anita Jeram range of stamps and I'm a sucker for cute dog and cat images, I actually have three cards to share with you today. For my first card I stamped and masked together both of the mischievous kitty images from the Keep Growing set. Having cats myself I think it is safe to say that those planters are about three seconds away from being knocked to the ground, LOL!

Moving on to the Birdbath Friends set, I split up the dogs and created two separate cards. This first one features the dog resting beneath the birdbath and I knew right away that I wanted to put him in a lush garden space. Luckily for me I had treated myself to Sandy Allnock's Copic Enchantment class earlier this summer and I was able to apply one of the backgrounds she teaches to this card. I modified it a bit to suit my smaller card size and I swapped out the spring colors for more fall inspired florals. I actually used another one of the Enchantment classes as a jumping off point for the kitty scene background as well, though with significantly more changes made.

Finally we have this cute dog, again from the Birdbath Friends set, taking himself on a walk. He's got his leash and he is ready to stroll all the way to the dog park. Something about this guy reminded me of a German Shorthair Pointer so that is where my inspiration came from for his coloring. In the background it is a beautiful fall day, where the leaves are turning and the skies are blue.

Alrighty, there is plenty more inspiration to be found with my fellow hop participants so I'm going to sign off and say thanks for stopping by, enjoy the hop and good luck!

  26. Dear Amy - I have long admired your work. I don't remember seeing you before in a CCC hop, but I am thrilled to see your work here this time. I LOVE the image of the dog w/ the leash, ready to hit the park. You did a PHENOMENAL job of coloring that image. It's autumnal perfection!! I also adore the Keep Growing one w/ the kitty cat image. The floor in that image is INCREDIBLY GOOD. I really admire your painting skill on that one! The birdbath pup is also very cute and your skill in painting that garden is substantial! WOW! I am blown away!!
