It's Halloween at Colorado Craft Company!

Good morning!

Anita Jeram is back with a Halloween collection for Colorado Craft Company featuring ten never seen before, brand spankin' new stamp sets... along with coordinating dies for each! To celebrate this spooktacular release 3C is giving away a new stamp set from each stop on the hop, so the more you comment the more chances you have to win. Entries will be accepted until midnight mountain time October 5th and winners will be randomly selected by 3C and announced on their blog the next day. They are also doing a HUGE complete bundle giveaway to ONE lucky winner. To be entered for that you have to use one of the designer's affiliate links when you place an order. Those links can be found on the 3C blog and will be included in one of their emails as well. In the mean time, here's the complete list of hop participants for you to check out:

I've got three cards to share with you today. The first combines stamps from the Pumpkin Patch set and the Too Cute to Spook mini set. I started by stamping the sweet little kitten sleeping on the pumpkin, masked it and then stamped the jack o'lanterns on either side. I then masked them off and stamped the stand of lights last. Once all of the masks were removed I had an entire patch of jacks just waiting to be colored up. I really had a lot of fun playing with all of the various light sources and trying to capture the glow of carved pumpkins on a spooky Halloween night.

For my second card I paired the new Halloween Background with the Halloween Friends mini set and a sentiment from the Happy Haunting set. First, I stamped cute the little bat and mouse at the bottom of my card front and then added the sentiment above them. The sentiment comes framed in but I wanted to turn it into a banner so that it would span the entire width of the card, so I used a dark brown Copic marker to sketch in the pennant ends on either side. Once that was done I masked it off and stamped the large Halloween Background to fill the rest of the card. Keeping to a limited color palette in soft, muted tones of the traditional Halloween colors, I colored the background to look like a decorative patterned paper. Next, I added some shading to the banner and then colored in the little critters with a dark background behind them, which lends a nice visual weight to the bottom of the card.

Finally, I made a long slimline card that pairs the Trick or Treating Cats with the cuties from the Wizard Treats set. Together this merry band of costumed critters are ready to brave the dark of night for buckets full of candy! And with their trusty lantern to lead the way, no spooks or specters will keep them from their quest, LOL!

Ok, time to send you on your way. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

  65. I’m absolutely in love with Colorado Crafts and especially the AJ stamps which have that dreamy children’s book illustrator look, like Peter Rabbit, Pooh, etc…. I have none of them and would be thrilled to win a stamp set from them. Thank you for your beautiful examples. I hadn’t been to your blog before, I found you through CCC, and I have to say, I am blown away by your talent and your amazing coloring. Thank you also for listing the colors you used. I love my Copics and it’s always nice to have have an idea of what someone else used on an image.

    Have a blessed day!
