TGIF!
I colored this beauty from the Retro Pin-up Mermaids set during a review weekend Live after the Sea-sational MerMay release hit the shelves. We started by giving her some 'super hero' blue/black hair which I think lends her a very Liz Taylor look. Next, we gave her a twist on a koi tail patterning. Instead of the white base that I usually start from, we instead started with a light peachy base and then added the coral red patches over it. Rolling ocean waves are always a crowd pleaser and to be honest it's always nice to have an excuse to practice coloring them. I think the bolder colors really suit this mermaid and I love how the scene came together. :)
Have a good one!
