City sidewalks, busy sidewalks... dressed in holiday style

in the air there's a feeling of Christmas.

Greetings and salutations!

So before I get into today's card I just have to go off on a bit of a Glee tangent... not a whole lot of singing last night but man, SO much DRAMA! Poor Mr. Shue, are you doing ok Rinne? I know how much you like your Shue. ;) My big question mark for the episode is why can't the Glee kids go and draw funny faces on the other club pics too? I know, I know, it would be petty and they are above all that but man, sometimes drawing a funny mustache and glasses on the yearbook photo of that one kid who's never nice to you can feel pretty darn good... (insert innocent whistling smilie here...) ;)

Anywhooo... my card today is for this week's Diedrich Dare sketch and as you can probably tell there is a bit of altering going on with this one too. I used Lolli Anya's head (after I wiped away the lollipop from the side of her face and drew in the missing section) and Dress Me Anya's body and Summer Wardrobe dress. I drew in sleeves on her body as well as shoes on her feet. Oh and the bags are from the Summer Wardrobe set too, I just added a bit of crumpled crepe paper coming out the tops to make them look like gift bags. Whew... that's a lot going on to get one little Christmas shopping cutie but well worth the time I think. :)
And even though I don't need any more Christmas cards this year what can I say... I'm in that festive frame of mind and I don't think I'm going to shake it any time soon so why fight it?
Alrighty then, another day another dollar... hope you all have a wonderful day! Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and GP
paper- American Crafts (green) Pebbles Inc (red)

  1. Children laughing, people passing.Meeting smile after smile. Hi Amy, I may not be a child, but I sure am laughing.....I love your card! You just cost me more money honey, I just have to buy her now, so that I can play...lol..Great card...I was soooooooo happy that Mr Shue caught his wife finally..I just can not stand her. She is sooo mean to him. I know it has been a coupl of (clearing throat) years since I was in high school, but the kids that would draw on the pics usually did it to their own...So I don't get that at all....I really thought that their mattress routine was soo cute. I was really laughing when the owner kept jumping...Smiles to you. Lisa G

  15. I know!!! Buwahahahahahaha!!! You should've seen me last night while watching Glee! I kept saying, "Oh my God! OMG! OMG!!!!!!" when he found the baby bump! Poor Mr. Shuester! So sad that after next week's episode, it won't be on till April. But then, I found out that the DVD Vol. 1 will be out after 12/29.

Anyway, your card is just lovely! Such amazing altering and coloring, Amy! My faves are the tissue paper (genius!) and her outfit! And that paper is too cute! have a great day!

  27. This is abfab Amy!! I love it! Lolli Anya is my new favorite. The crepe paper is the perfect touch. You think of everything!

I agree with your Glee statements. Kinda disappointed that there wasn't that much singing, but Teri's fake pregnancy had to come to light sooner or later. Mr. Shue's reaction broke my heart. But man, wasn't Sue in here ripest form?! She's so blunt and insensitive. I love it though. Can't believe there's only one episode left. :(

  29. That is adorable!!!

I had to skip over your first paragraph when I checked your blog out earlier cuz I hadn't watch Glee yet, LOL, but now that I have O-M-G!!!! Thank goodness, finally, the fake pregnancy is OUT. I LOVED his reaction, only b/c it had me in tears b/c it was so authentic. Gosh, this show is so good I can't stand it. Now, if only Finn would find out that Quinn isn't carrying HIS baby, LOL.
