I've got a fun little card to share today that I made just for the heck of it. As soon as I saw this adorable image over at Spesch Stamps I knew I had to have him. There is just something so quiet and sweet about this Little Elf digi, that it really spoke to me. Don'tcha just want to pinch those cheeks? Cute, cute, cute! :)
Once again I have used the Copic X-Press It cardstock for my stamping and coloring and I have been asked if I like it better than the Paper Trey Ink cardstock... and you know I'm finding that I like them both equally but for different reasons. I feel that the Paper Trey Ink cardstock gives me a bit of a creamier, softer, 'Pillsbury dough boy' finished look. The X-Press It seems to give me a more vibrant end result. That combined with the thinner weight, which makes it much easier for cutting out an image, makes it really nice too. I guess it just depends on what I want my image to look like in the end and if I plan on doing much cutting that will dictate which cardstock I choose to use.
Oh and back to the card... I also added buttons into the design so that I could enter it into this week's Flutter By challenge. Yep, I've done two button challenges in a row but ya know I loves me my buttons so it's all good! This time I tried something a bit different by stringing them along the twine to create decorative borders on the card.
Ok, I'm off to work for the day... TTYL! :)
