Go ahead... eat it... I dare you

Just beyond Sweet November Land, deep within a dark and twisty wood, there is a place where you will find haunted houses, creepy castles and mad scientist labs galore. This spooky village is inhabited year round by a host of quirky characters that are both a little sweet and a little sour. The only time that they venture out into our world is on that one special night of October 31st. It is then that they can blend in with the crowds of innocent trick-or-treaters and play mischief on all they meet. So light up a jack o' lantern and hold it high as we cautiously trek on into the woods to see who we can find...

Uh oh, it looks like we may have a certain little witch stalking us... Hilda is back and this time she comes bearing "gifts". The noxious fumes coming from her bubbling cauldron are hard not to wince away from but the smell doesn't seem to bother Hilda in the least as she explains how hurt she was by our sudden departure last night. She worried that perhaps forcing us to do a nose dive into the dirt during our first meeting had left a bad impression so she went home to whip us up a batch of her super special Malevolent Morsels as an apology. And how could we possibly refuse? Considering that they are very tricky to make and a slight mishap in the kitchen even left her hair a new shade of green, the least we can do is accept.
Before we can come up with a polite way to decline her offer, Hilda's bat friend, Vlad, joins the exchange and is quite insistent that we take a bite. Luckily, we still have a few of those chocolates that Joe Joe gave us and with a some slight of hand it looks like we each tasted Hilda's candy. Her look of excited anticipation quickly turns to confusion and she stomps away mumbling something about not having enough 'eye of newt' in this batch.

I don't think I want to know what she was expecting to happen so we should probably inspect this candy very carefully...

The Hilda and Vlad candy kit includes; one Sweet November Hilda and Vlad rubber stamp, nine 6x6 sheets of The Girls' Paperie, Authentique and Pink Paislee papers, small Studio G acrylic stamp set, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
Well I'm thinking that we've had enough adventures in this strange place and with that storm brewing off in the distance we had best be heading home soon. I know a short cut out of here, it does run right through a graveyard but if we want to avoid the thunder, lightening and rain it is our only option. Lets all hold hands as we make our way through, we don't want to accidentally leave anyone behind. Wow, whoever is behind me sure has some cold hands... EEEEEK! Where did this mummy come from?!
He chuckles fiendishly and introduces himself as Mumford. We must still look a bit startled by Mumford's sudden appearance because he tells us to chillax and not be wound so tight... easier said than done in this place. Apparently he is out looking for his pet raven, Nevermore, who has a tendency to wander off whenever a storm approaches and the static electricity builds in the air. Mumford asks if we have come across his pal during our travels and even though we have seen a lot of strange things these past few days, a pet raven isn't one of them. So he bids us farewell as he continues on his search, loose bandages trailing behind.

The first few droplets of rain begin to fall and that means we really need to get a move on. But just as we reach the edge of the cemetery and find our path home some candy also falls down from the sky. We look up and there sits the raven, Nevermore, just look at what he has brought us...
The Mumford candy kit includes; one Sweet November Mumford the Mummy rubber stamp, nine 6x6 sheets of Bella Blvd Too Cute to Spook paper, small Studio G acrylic stamp set, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :)

The candies will stay open through Sunday, September 4th and I will announce the winners on Monday, September 5th. And don't forget... the official release date for all of September's new stamps over at ATS is September 8th!
Time to shuffle on over to the Sweet November Gals' blogs for a dose of intoxicating inspiration! Today Leanne is joining Nancy and Rachel and their cards are sure to enchant!

Once again... instead of using random generator I will be printing out names and tossing them in a hat SO if you leave comments for the SN gals on their blogs, you will get an extra name in the hat for each one that you do... this will up your chances of winning the candy... fun, fun, fun! :)

Well folks, that's a 'wrap' on our September SN previews. I hope that you had a frightfully fun time meeting all of the new Sweet November characters joining us this month!
