A perfect day...

Hey there!

Not only did we open up the Vault yesterday at Sweet November Stamps, re-releasing the updated Spice Fairies, but we also added a new Spice Fairy as this month's newsletter freebie. To celebrate I did a Live coloring video over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page where I combined the older Paprika with the new Saffron fairy. It wasn't intentional at all but rather a pleasant surprise at how well these two work together as a pair of friends chatting and giggling together. We ended up coloring them in pretty spring pastel hues and gave them a lovely meadow to call home. I'm so in love with how this scene came together and it is always a blast crafty and creating with others to help get you there.  :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

No one is you...

Hello, hello!

I'm over on the Bella blog with a new Scenic Saturday card to share. Life has gotten hectic and a bit stressful for me lately so when I started flipping through my stash of Stamping Bella stamps for today this peaceful looking Yoga Mochi Girl totally captured my imagination. I envy how zenned out and relaxed she appears to be so creating this scene was a good reminder to make time for myself now and then. I started off by coloring Mochi girl and sort of did a zentangle technique on her top with three aqua colored Copics, filling in the spaces left between the lines with a black marker. I think it turned out quite stylish, LOL! Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Good Vibes sentiment set so that I could color around it making it appear to be a poster hanging on the studio wall. Finally, it was time to tackle the yoga studio. I knew that I wanted it to be light and bright and super calming so I sketched in large floor to ceiling windows on either side of Mochi Girl allowing me plenty of space to add a tranquil zen garden in the distance. Using a Copic colorless blender to add some "shine" on the windows not only helps to create the illusion of a glass pane being there but they also create direction lines that subtly lead the viewers eye right to the star of the show. The end result is a pleasant yet empowering message that would brighten any friend's day. :)

Stay crafty my friends!

Sugar and Spice and everything nice...

Hi there!

We sent out the February newsletter from Sweet November Stamps last night, it's a quick review of everything that has been added to the store this month. Not only do we have an exclusive new digi released with the newsletter but we also have another Vault release that she coordinates with. Years ago I started an unofficial collection of Spice Fairies and we've now updated all three of them, Ginger, Paprika and Coriander. Joining their sisterhood today is the lovely Saffron. Newsletter subscribers have received a code to grab her for free and she is available for purchase to everyone else. If you are not a Sweet November newsletter subscriber yet and you're bummed about missing out on this month's freebie no worries, simply go to the bottom of the Sweet November Stamps home page and sign up now.

Ginger was the original Spice Fairy released way back in 2010. She is imbued with a sense of tranquility and peace that has a calming effect on anyone who happens by her. So if you've had a frazzled day, Ginger is the fairy you would want to hang out with for awhile, she'll have you feeling better in no time. :)

Coriander fairy is another image originally released in 2010. She is naturally shy and quiet and if she had it her way, her days would be spent chatting with the flowers and listening to the spring breezes sing.

Saffron fairy is the newest addition and she is a vivacious little fairy with a zest for life that is quite infectious. She is a natural poet always singing the praises of the beauty and wonder found all around.

Now be sure to go check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Spice Fairy inspiration from Caitlin, Melissa and our wonderfully talented guest designer, Carrie L. Triner!

I will also be coloring Paprika and Saffron Live this morning at 11am PST on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page so I hope to see ya there!

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!

You make every day awesome...

TGIF my friends!

Boy, it feels like this week has just flown by! In fact I've got a lot to do today gearing up for this weekend so I will keep this post short and sweet. These cute Bunnies in a Balloon from Unity Stamps have been sitting on my desk for over a year now so it was high time they saw some ink and made it onto a card. I stamped them onto one of the smaller stitched slimline dies from Trinity Stamps and played with a new sunset color combo that turned out quite dramatic. I wanted these two sweeties to look like they are floating high above the clouds having quite the adventure with each other. :)

Alrighty, time for me to scoot. But I will be back tomorrow with a Sweet November Vault release and newsletter freebie that I will be coloring Live over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page

Coffee and Cardstock...

Hello again!

I'm up on The Greeting Farm blog today with a card that I bet all of us crafters can relate to. As soon as the new Store Fronts digi set was released at the beginning of the month I knew I wanted to combine it with the Build-a-Craftroom digi set to create a fun craft store scene. It actually came together really quickly thanks to the pre-put together shelves and peg board that come in the Craft Room set. All I had to do was pop them in behind the store windows and then add the Create sign to the facade and I had the cutest little craft store that made me long for the time when I had a local scrapbook store to spend long hours in myself. Of course I needed a pair of crafty friends to enjoy the store so I grabbed one of the gals from the Winter Dress Up set and gave her a dress from the Birthday Girls set as well as one of the cuties from the Backs 3 set. Since it is a serious shopping trip both girls also got a purse from the Store Fronts set to complete their looks. They seem so excited to spend the day together, stamping and crafting and just hanging out together.

I hope this card inspires you to go back to some of the older builder digi sets in your collection and see how they can mix and match with the newest digital releases as they hit the store each month.  :)

Stay crafty my friends!
