Halloween Hero...

Happy Halloween my friends!

The scariest night of the year is finally here and I thought I would wrap up spooky season with one last card featuring the costumed trick or treaters from the Halloween Postage Pals: Portrait set at Sweet November Stamps. Their is such an adorable mix of costumes here, from the super hero with her cape to the sweetest pumpkin in the patch. This time around I colored in a backdrop unique to each of the kiddos, kind of like they are posing in front of a green screen. I also used both the Year Round Post Marks and Fantasy Post Marks to add the finishing touches to the card. Now all that's left to do is head out and get as much candy as their bags can hold. ;)

Have a safe and sweet night!

Hocus pocus...

Hello again!

I've had this Witchy 2 digi from Mo's Digital Pencil, printed out and sitting on my desk for quite some time and yesterday it was finally time to get her on a card. I masked her off and stamped the spooky house from an old Penny Black set off in the distance. Just like yesterday's card, getting a simple background builder added really helped light the spark to color up a spooky scene. She looks so pretty bathed in the light of the full moon, ready to take off into the night sky on that broom of hers. I'm also really proud to say that I did such a good job of coloring images from the pile on my desk this year that there is only one stamped Halloween scene left. I guess it will just have to wait until next year.  ;)

Later gators!

Magic happens every day...

Hi there!

This sweet witch from the Halloween Magic set at Art Impressions is another stamped image that's been sitting on my desk for quite some time. I think she was waiting all this time for the right background because I decided to mask her off and add the open door from the Halloween is Back set at Sweet November Stamps behind her and the scene finally felt right. From there I had fun coloring the light streaming out of the door and onto this little witch with her big, lovey cat. I just want to squeeze them both, LOL! Anywho, only a couple more sleeps until Halloween night, I hope you are stocked up on sweet treats!

Toodles!

Happy Halloween...

Hello, hello!

I got my hands on this cute
Cat-o-lanterns set from Whimsy Stamps a few month's back and I finally had time to ink them up and get them on a card before Halloween arrives. Since I am very much a cat lady, with my own little family of black and tuxedo cats, this stack of kitties and glowing jacks just makes my heart happy. I tried my best to play up the glow on the fur of these curious cats before masking them off and adding the dark background fading to light behind them. The simple layout design was jazzed up a bit with a messy stitched border stamped along the edge and the purple enamel dots matching back to the background colors. All in all, this was another quickie that turned out really cute! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Made for each other...

Good morning!

Saturday was a review at Sweet November Stamps and for my Live over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page I wanted to finally color some of the Halloween Postage Pals. All of my pre-stamped scenes with them had too much coloring to be manageable for a Live so I needed to get creative and find a way to use a couple of the costumed cuties outside of the postage theme. That's when I had the idea to pair Frankenstein's Monster from the Halloween Postage Pals: Landscape set and the Bride of Frankenstein from the Halloween Postage Pals: Portrait set with a window from the older Simple Room Autumn Add-on set. I had to do a bit of strategic inking to open the windows and then I added the jack o'lantern and spider web from the Front Porch Halloween Decor set for extra Halloween pizazz. We even got to pull out the Copic air brush system and use it with a brick stencil to quickly create the outside of their apartment building. After the Live I printed out the sentiment from the computer and added some Halloween colored enamel stars to complete this spooky sweet scene. I'm so pleased with how this one came together.  :)

Have a great week!
