Thanks for picking me...

Olo!

One of my personal goals this year is to ink up more of my older stamps in my crafty stash, especially some of my old favorites from The Greeting Farm that we haven't seen new versions of in quite some time. I've been really itchin' to ink up the Big Time Anyas again because I have always loved how long and lanky they are, making them so much fun to color. This lovely Big Time is Anya Blooms and I just think she is such a breath of fresh springtime air in her cute sun dress. She is busy gathering flowers for her first bouquet of the year and I surrounded her with butterflies and a grasshopper from the new Mini Remix Spring set. In the background I colored a field of the daisies stretching back in the distance behind Anya with a soft blue sky above. The pretty pastels are such a quintessential spring look and I think that Anya is absolutely rockin' them, LOL! I gotta tell ya, I'm already excited about creating with another one of these old school beauties sooner rather than later. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Rainbow on a cloudy day...

Hello!

I'm up on the Hello Bluebird blog and today I've got a colorful card to share with one of the happy Next Door Gnomes characters that I've colored into a leprechaun for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day. Perhaps he took shelter beneath the large mushrooms from the Bloomin Happy set while it was raining and now that the storm has passed this little leprechaun is serenading the sky to bring all the colors of the rainbow to shine down on him and his ladybug friend. I did some masking to group the characters and mushrooms all together in the center of the card, stamping them on Catherine Pooler Select white card stock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Next I colored them up with my Copic markers in bright primary colors that would match back to the rainbow I knew I would be adding in the sky above. To make that happen, I put the masks back on the images and blocked off the bottom half of the card before grabbing the Copic airbrush system and airbrushing streaks of color following the ROYGBIV pattern of a rainbow and the blue sky on either side. Once the masks were removed I could then complete the rest of the scene by coloring in the grass and trees. To play up the music theme with this cute gnome, turned leprechaun, I stamped music notes from the Garden Party set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I still had the larger frame from the Postage Frame die left over from the last card I made and it was the perfect addition to this sweet scene so I tied a bit of gold thread around it in a bow and then glued it to the card front. As a finishing touch I heat embossed one of the Rainbow Script sentiments to the bottom of the card in white to match back to the frame. I just love how everything came together to create such a happy Spring card.  :)

Toodles!

The love of a furry friend...

Hey there!

So I've got another card that I made for the latest clear release at Sweet November that's been waiting to be shared. This one features the cute little girl and her chihuahua from the Puppy Love: Squishy set. Squishy loves going for a walk just as long as he gets to ride in his special bag the whole time, LOL! The pretty scenery these two are enjoying is from the new Background Builder: Day at the Park set and I colored it so that the spring trees are in full bloom. What a wonderful day to be enjoying with your best friend.

Laters! :)

Thanks a bunch...

Good morning!

This sweet Flowers from Tofu stamp is part of the Chilliezgraphy by Pei Love and Joy collection at Purple Onion Designs but I waited to ink it up because I think it is perfect as a more generic spring themed card that doesn't have to celebrate a specific holiday. I had fun adding some butterflies from the Flora and Fauna set, even flipping one using a mirror stamp so it would face the opposite direction. The background trees are a small part of the Perfect Spot Background stamp that I added through some selective inking. The colors are bright and cheery and full of the sunshine that I am looking forward to as spring continues to creep up on us. The sentiment is from the Around the Town sentiment set and I mean, how perfect is it with this cute image?!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope there is some sunshine in your day!
