You're stinkin' cute...

Hello again!

It's a review weekend at Sweet November and I decided to pull out the Lovely Layers Circle Embroidery Hoop dies from Honey Bee Stamps again and use it with the cute skunk from the Fall Woodland Skunk, Rabbit and Bear digi set. I printed the skunk in a sepia tone rather than black ink, to give it a softer look on the faux aida cloth. The no line coloring is so soft and sweet and gives this little stinker a whole new look. What's not to love about cozy Fall colors?  ;)

Toodles!

Autumn Wishes...

Hello!

I have a new Scenic Saturday card I'm sharing on the Bellariffic blog. Last Friday a new batch of digital stamps were added to the shop, including more of the super cute Littles builder sets. Both Fall and Halloween themes are represented and I chose to play with the Littles Apple Picking and Littles Fall Nature sets for my card today.

I've had fun inking up the rubber versions of these stamps in the past but I can't express how much I love the new digi versions! The biggest benefit to me is the re-sizing capabilities. Being able to enlarge certain images and shrink others to create proportional scenes adds a lot of freedom to the creative process. This sweet apple picking scene is centered around the girl, hedgie, apples and mushrooms from the Littles Apple Picking set and I brought in the log and leaves from the Littles Fall Nature set for additional scenery. Notice how I stood the log on its end and stretched it to be taller, creating a tree trunk that I could then hang extra apples from by sketching in a couple of branches. The pile of leaves hides the bottom of the log and adds extra color into this Fall day. After I had colored everything, I added a sentiment from the Autumn Sentiment set to the bottom of the card as a nice finishing touch. Once again, if you enjoy creating scenes with your stamps as much as I do, I can't recommend these Littles digi sets enough.

Before I go, be sure to check out the Halloween/Fall rubber stamps this weekend because every stamp in that section is 25% OFF through midnight tomorrow. Stay crafty my friends!

TGIF!

Every month, SN design team member Allison, hosts a Pen Pal card swap in the Friends of Sweet November Stamps Facebook group. The theme for August was 'critters' and since I made this card before the Fall Woodland digi release I instead used a couple of cuties from the Spring Woodland collection at Sweet November Stamps. I paired the squirrel from the Spring Woodland Squirrel, Cub and Raccoon set with the chipmunk from the Spring Woodland Chipmunk, Fox and Skunk set. I enlarged them both quite a bit and placed the squirrel atop the tree stump from the older Forest Stump and Hollow Log Background Builder set and then proceeded to color in the rest of the forest background by hand. All the green in the scene is a last hurrah to summer as I'm now all about coloring with lovely fall inspired hues. I don't know if my pen pal has received this card yet, but I hope it brings her a smile.

Have a great weekend!

Friendship is so weird...

Hey, hey!

This trio of fashionable friends are from the BFF Girls Find Your Tribe set at Picket Fence Studios, though I think they may be retired now. I'm pretty sure I stamped them up last summer and then they got set aside, finding a spot in that pile of pre-stamped images that I keep on my desk. Finding myself with a limited amount of coloring time the other day, when I flipped through the images and found these, I knew they would be perfect. I find the sketchy nature of these illustrations quite appealing and they lend themselves to more loose and artistic layout designs. Because I wanted the big sentiment to have just as much focus as the girls, I kept the background really light and ethereal, letting it fade to white as it moves across the long mini slimline card front. I'm really glad I finally made time to get this one colored and finally fulfilling its card destiny, LOL!  ;)

Have a good one!

Jump for joy...

Good morning!

This past weekend we introduced the Fall Woodland digi collection at Sweet November Stamps so of course we had to color up some of the cute critters during my Saturday Live on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. For this particular scene I paired up the fox from the Fall Woodland Fox, Squirrel and Racoon set with the rabbit from the Fall Woodland Skunk, Rabbit and Bear set because I liked how they were both playing in the leaves. The forest scenery is provided by the Spring Woodland Background which we gave a colorful Fall make-over. These two look so happy frolicking together on a crisp Autumn day.

Don't forget that there is also a limited time bundle deal special where if you purchase the Fall Woodland Bundle any time through August 30th, you will receive the exclusive Fall Woodland Wolf digi for free.  :)

Laters!
