Rosemary by your garden gate...

Hello!

I'm back on the Bellariffic blog with more Halloween fun for this week's Scenic Saturday card at Stamping Bella. The new Holiday release that just hit the store has a great variety of new Halloween stamps to choose from and I opted to ink up the lovely Uptown Girl Witchy Sisters.

This beautiful pair of witches also come with a classic quote from the Practical Magic movie and I really wanted to make sure I had room to include it on the card. This led me to stamping everything on a long slimline card front, first the quote, then the witches above it and finally I stamped the older Garden Backdrop after masking the witches. Once the mask was removed I was left with a scene that I could color to match back to the quote. I added rosemary and lavender in front of the fence and made the roses red, just like the ones in the movie. The Witchy Sisters were colored to match their outfits in the final scenes of the movie and I added some magic sparkles swirling around the broom using a white pen. While this scene may not have traditional Halloween spookiness, I think it is full of the enchantment that encompasses this special season.

Stay crafty my friends!

Embrace your dark side...

TGIF!

We are half way through the Spooky Season Spooktacular celebration at Sweet November Stamps and today I am sharing not one but two special digis that have just been added to the store. Each week's digi also coincides with a week long challenge that will be announced in the Sweet November Stamps Facebook group. Participating in each week's challenge will earn you a unique exclusive free digi. It's already proving to be a fun time as we head into the spookiest time of the year.

This week we have the new Madame Tarot image and since I figured she needed somewhere spooky to be plying her trade, there is also the new Haunted Cemetery Background. As the mist creeps in, Madame Tarot will read your cards, divining a future that you may or may not want to hear. So who is brave enough to walk through the tombstones at midnight and meet with Madame Tarot?  ;)

Have a great weekend!

'Tis the season...

Hi friends!

I still have a few scenes left that I stamped up using the Great Outdoors release at Hello Bluebird. This particular one always felt like it would be a cute Fall scene and that's why I held off on coloring it until now. This adorable mole reading by lantern light is from the Campfire Stories set and I paired him with the Pathway Background that I altered by wiping the ink off of the actual path before stamping. This left me with a simple hill for him to be reading his spooky story on. The tree and bushes got Fall colors and the night scene gave me the perfect opportunity to really play up the lantern light glow. I borrowed the sentiment from the All the Spooks set because I like how it emphasizes the story that I had in my head for this little guy.  :)

Have a good one!  :)

Hey ghoul...

Olo!

I've got another card that I made for the Stamping Bella Holiday release to share today. The Oddball Grim Reaper is the latest Halloween Oddball to be added to the store and he definitely looks like he means business. With his big ol' scythe and trusty raven Halloween is going to be extra scary with this guy on the prowl. I paired him with the older Haunted House Backdrop to help set the scene and I had to sketch in an extra tree by hand for balance. The 'hey ghoul' sentiment is included in the stamp set and I traced it with a glitter pen so it would show up better in that dark night sky. I think it all comes together to make one hauntingly fun card.  :)

Toodles!
