Wash your worries away...

TGIF

A very happy MerMay to you! I've had this Moonlight Whispers mermaid from the long retired Kraftin' Kimmie Fin-tastic Friends set stamped and sitting on my desk for a few years now. I decided that she would be the perfect way to dive into this year's MerMay fun. The colors are bright and happy and the whole vibe is carefree. I had 20 different mermaids in my stack of pre-stamped images and I know I won't make it through all of them, especially when so many new mermaids are on their way, but it feels good finally getting this gal on a card.  :)

Have a great weekend!

Bright wishes for the New Year...

Happy New Year!

I'm swinging into 2025 like this Glittering Trapezist from Moonlight Whispers, though she is much more glamorous looking if I'm being honest, LOL! I don't know if it's just me but I'm already feeling like this year will be like walking a bit of a tight rope. The ground beneath my feet is not as stable as I'm used to or would like it to be. So I'm holding on tight and hoping for the best, all while praying that there is a net below in case the year goes sideways on me.

So here's to the ups and downs coming in 2025, all we can do is try to enjoy the ride!  ;)

Smooches!

Let's Go Ghouls...

Happy Halloween!

Spooky season culminates with tonight's frightful festivities and I've got one last Halloween card to share. I got my hands on this new Moonlight Whispers Preparing the Broom for Halloween stamp last month and I've been saving her for the big day. The stamp itself comes as one large image but I cut it into two separate stamps so that I could overlap the broom a bit more and really having it flying towards this sassy witch. The Copic airbrush system helped me add to the magical glow in the scene and really play up the Halloween enchantment that I was going for.

Alrighty friends, have a safe, sweet and spooky Halloween!

Life is better at the beach...

Hey there!

So there is currently a color board challenge going on in the Moonlight Whispers Facebook group and I couldn't resist dusting off one of the lovely beach girl stamps from back in the Kraftin' Kimmie days to play along. This beauty with her big hat is Mae and I paired her with the At the Beach background stamp that is also a retired KKS image. As you can see above, the inspiration is a mix of pinks, teal and cream and I leaned heavily on the teal and cream for the background on my card, saving the pinks for the bathing beauty's ensemble. The challenge runs through July 19th with two winners randomly selected to each receive a $10 gift certificate to the Moonlight Whispers shop. I gotta say, it was a lot of fun having an excuse to ink up an oldie but a goodie again.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

The sea...

Hey, hey!

I couldn't let MerMay come and go without getting the newest mermaid from Moonlight Whispers onto a card. The stamp set is called, The Darkest Depths, and there is certainly something dark and twisty about this particular ocean dweller. She has surrounded herself with the remains of all the unfortunate sailors that she's lured into their watery graves, pondering her rather macabre collection. I used the Copic airbrush system to create the play of light and shadow in the water surrounding her, then stamped on the school of small fish to bring some added interest to the scene. I gotta say, after all of the bright and bubbly mermaid cards that I've been making, this was a fun little detour to take. ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Fairy dust wishes...

TGIF my friends!

The new release in the Moonlight Whispers shop had me feeling nostalgic yesterday so I ended up reaching for my binder of old Kraftin' Kimmie stamps for something to create with. To me, Spring is the time for fairies and I felt myself drawn to this pretty Rosabelle fairy to ink up. Out of curiosity I checked the ol' blog to see when was the last time that I had made a card with her and can you believe it was all the way back in March of 2012?! Talk about a blast from the past, LOL!  So I stamped Rosabelle up and added the bee that comes with the old Kraftin' Kimmie Peony girl stamp, to keep her company. When it came time to create the background I was inspired by an awesome card that my crafty pal, Allison shared recently, and I used the Copic airbrush system to add the final shades of green after I had colored in the large blades of grass. I love the glow it creates shining down on Rosabelle. Annie, the illustrator of Moonlight Whispers has been re-imagining and re-releasing some of the older Kraftin' Kimmie images and I'm not gonna lie... I really hope we see some new fairies before too long!  ;)

Enjoy your weekend!

I love this for you...

Olo!

Annie Rodrigue just added a pair of new digi stamps as well as two clear sets to her Moonlight Whispers online shop, which made for a fun coincidence because I already had this older image on my desk when they dropped. This beauty is a retired Moonlight Whispers stamp from the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps days called, Pampered Paulina. I've had her for ages but this is the first time I've inked her up. I figured Paulina would work well for a different kind of Galentine's Day card, especially when paired with this fun sentiment. I like to think that she is taking her time getting ready for a girl's night out with her besties.  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Holiday sparkle...

Olo!

I'm very excited because Annie Rodrigue is back creating both clear and digital stamps in her new Moonlight Whispers online shop! Her first release was a couple weeks back and even though I got this fun Holiday Wrecking Ball digi as soon as it came out, it wasn't until yesterday that I finally had time to enjoy coloring her up. This sassy sprite is swinging with such abandon that I wouldn't be surprised if the owner of that tree finds it broken on the floor in the morning, LOL! I paired her with the pine tree branches and magical little swoosh from the Simon Says Stamp Magical Christmas clear set to help tell the story and the sentiment is also part of that same set. I used two different bokeh stencils to help me create the playful looking background that pulls the entire design together. I won't lie, it felt good to be creating with the Moonlight Whispers images again... it's been too long!

Toodles!

Blowing you a kiss...

Hello, hello!

Day two of MerMay seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally color up this retired Moonlight Whispers mermaid that was originally sold at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I've had Marina sitting in that pile on my desk for a few years now and I really didn't want to let another summer pass without getting her on a card. I'm such a huge fan of Annie's mermaids and now that she isn't really making new stamps or digis, I'm extra grateful to still have my collection of her older images. It's a lot of fun whenever I get a chance to pull them out and get inky, which I did yesterday when I wanted to add a few extra background images to go with Marina. All the little sea creatures, shells and coral accessory stamps were added yesterday and they really completed the scene. The sentiment is from a small My Favorite Things set and it was too perfect not to pair with her cute little kissy lips. I'm sure that Marina is just as happy as I am now that she has made a home on a card of her own.  :)

Toodles!

Smile...

Hello, hello!

I know I don't usually post on Sundays but when new digis hit the Moonlight Whispers Etsy shop this weekend I couldn't resist coloring one right away. Two of the digital stamps were previously released as coloring pages at 7 Kids, Fight Gloom with Glamour and Keeping in Shape and the third digi is brand new and she is called, Clover Lass. Even though her name implies that she is specifically for celebrating St. Paddy's Day she can just as easily be colored into a pretty spring lass by turning the clover into little wild flowers instead. And that is just what I did during my impromptu Live yesterday. Even though it wasn't planned or scheduled I had a great group of gals there and we had a blast turning Clover into a sweet new age hippie Instagram model complete with a picture perfect waterfall background, LOL!

Later gators!

Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It
digital stamp- Moonlight Whispers (Clover Lass)
stamp- Stamping Bella (Spring Sentiments set)
ink- Memento tuxedo black
My Favorite Things A2 stitched rectangle stax set 1
Sharpie extra fine white pen

sorry, I didn't keep track but you can see the colors used here

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween my crafty fiends!

The spookiest night of the year is here and I am wrapping up this year's Halloween cards with this fabulous clear stamp from Moonlight Whispers. Yep, you read that right, Sarah the Surfing Sorceress is one of the new clear stamps that Annie has added to her shop and I think she is simply amazing. From the first time I laid eyes on her I could just picture her sailing through the night sky with a giant full moon shining a spotlight right on her so that's exactly what I colored in. In the original image Sarah is joined by the three little bats in front of her but I wanted a couple more tagging along behind so I just moved the stamped and did some selective inking to add her extra friends. I'm not sure where Sarah is flying off to but if I had to guess I think she's on her way to a star studded monster bash... all of the cool ghouls will be there! ;)

Have fun tonight and be sure to come back tomorrow for a very Merrwee Sweet November release!

You put a spell on me...

TGIF my friends!

I finally got my first clear stamps from Moonlight Whispers this week and I was just itchin' to get my hands on this Naughty Leo stamp first thing. Naughty Leo is the third installment in the zodiac series that Annie is doing and each one has a kind of dark and twisty look to them. Right away I thought that Leo looked like she could be a Halloween witch with that hat she's wearing and since there is quite a wait before a Leo birthday I decided to do a bit of altering and transform Leo into that witch instead. All I had to do was take a baby wipe and wipe away the ink from the cat ears and tail that were on the hat as well as the zodiac symbol with her leg on it. Then I stamped the image and used a black Copic multiliner pen to fill in the gaps on her hat and sketch in a giant pumpkin for her to be leaning over. Just like that Naughty Leo became a cheeky, pin-up girl kind of witch that was a whole lot of fun to color up. :)

Ok then, have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Embrace your dark side...

Hi Friends!

I'm back today with a new card to help celebrate this month's Moonlight Whispers digital stamp release which is now available in Annie's Etsy shop. There are actually two new digital images being released today, the first was previously part of the Calendar Girls coloring stack and now Witch & Wine is her own digi. And the brand new digi image is this fa-boo-lous Mistress of Death. Annie is so great at straddling that line between cute and creepy with her Halloween images, making them such a delight to create with. When it came time to color her into a scene I knew that I wanted to play with light so not only did I elude to a window behind her with the patterning on the carpet but I also gave her a big, roaring fire off to the side. Because who wouldn't want to be warm and toasty while admiring their skull collection? LOL
Now while you are visiting Annie's etsy shop be sure to check out the new clear stamps that she also has available as well. Yep, that's right... clear stamps of Moonlight Whispers images are back! There is a 10% discount code you can use when you buy three or more products from the shop, just enter MOONBUNDLE when you check out. :)

You're a catch...

TGIF my friends!

Well it looks like I am continuing the retired stamp theme from yesterday but today's oldie but goodie is River from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. My pal Tress is currently cleaning out her craft room and she gifted me with a big box of stamps... OMG, talk about happy mail! Cutie River here was one of the many retired Moonlight Whispers stamps that Tress sent and I immediately new I wanted to pair her with the Moonlight Whispers Forest Background that I already had. Talk about a match made in stamping heaven, LOL! Now it looks like River has found the perfect fishin' hole for her to spend this late summer day at. I really had so much fun putting this card together and coloring it all up so thanks again Tress, I can't wait to ink up the rest of the goodies you spoiled me with!  :)

Moonlight Whispers July release!

Hello, hello!

I'm back today with a couple new cards to help celebrate this month's Moonlight Whispers digital stamp release which is now available in Annie's Etsy shop. There are two new images being released today, both of which feature fun, every day type gals; Ukulele Paws and Purrs and Morning Laundry

First up is Ukulele Paws and Purrs. Something about this sweetie was sending me a very country girl kind of vibe. I don't know if it was the outfit, the pigtails or her little cat friend that she is serenading... perhaps it was all of those combined that had me reaching for my retired KK Funny Farm background stamp to pair with her. I think she's got big dreams of going to Nashville and becoming the next country music star, LOL!
Next we have Morning Laundry. This multitasking mama certainly has her hands full! With so much to get done in her day there is no time to slow down for breakfast. And when she's got her favorite romance novel to finish even the laundry can wait. ;)

Well I hope you've enjoyed this fun, everyday girl release and head on over to the Moonlight Whispers shop to create your own cards with these cuties!

Moonlight Whispers May release!

Hello, hello!

I'm back today with a handful of new cards to help celebrate this month's Moonlight Whispers digital stamp release which is now available in Annie's Etsy shop. There are three new images being released today, each one of them capturing those wonderful carefree summer days; Fresh Limonade, Puppy at the Beach and The Sandcastle.

First up is Fresh Limonade. Ahhhh, to be as relaxed as this stylin' beach resort babe. It doesn't get much better than a warm tropical breeze and a cold drink in your hand with nowhere to be and all the time in the world to just sit back and chill. Everyone else on that beach may have headed back to the hotel but there is no rushing this pretty gal as she basks in that glorious sunset.
Next we have Puppy at the Beach who seems to be getting into all sorts of mischief. All this gal wanted to do was walk back to the resort in peace but her playful pup has other ideas. Perhaps he wants to stay and play in the waves some more or maybe more sniffing of those palm trees is in order. Either way he has grabbed hold of her wrap and he isn't letting go! ;)
And finally we are wrapping up this release with The Sand Castle. This sweet father/daughter duo are enjoying a fun beach vacation with plenty of sun, sand and sea to inspire good times that will become life long memories for each of them. From the look of things an attempt to build the most epic sand castle has become more of an exercise in burying pops neck deep in the sand and she is looking quite pleased with herself.

Alrighty, well I hope you've enjoyed this summer fun release and head on over to the Moonlight Whispers shop to create some summer fun of your own!
