I'm literally dead...

Hello, hello!

The September newsletter from Sweet November Stamps was sent out Saturday night, full of amazing fall and Halloween inspiration from the design team. So many cute cards featuring stamps from the Harvest of Haunts clear release and the Moon Dance Witchwee digi release. As always, it also included a code to get the latest newsletter digi absolutely free and this month we have created a companion for Zoe the Zombie... Xander the Zombie. Even as an undead flesh eating monster, Zoe still thinks that Xander is just the coolest guy around, LOL! I paired these two with the Spookville Horizon Lines to create the graveyard that they've both emerged from and the Tim Holtz moon mask is making another appearance. Now these smitten kittens can shuffle off into the moonlit night together for one terrifyingly good time.  ;)

Toodles!

Witching you...

Good morning!

The new Autumn Greetings collection at Purple Onion Designs has a great mix of both Fall and Halloween images to choose from. I went a bit spooky with today's card, stamping up the adorable Cast a Spell image. This cat and mouse duo are are dressed up as witches while they hang out together in the pumpkin patch on All Hallow's Eve. I'm not sure, but this may be my first time coloring a tortie cat and I just gotta say, the black and orange patterning makes them the perfect Halloween alternative to the traditional black cat. The full moon shining down upon them was added after I masked them off, using a Tim Holtz moon mask and the Copic airbrush system. I also really wanted to use the Halloween postmark from the Vintage Holidays Postmark set so I turned the whole scene into an oversized postage stamp and cancelled the postage with the large Postage Cancellation Mark. The sentiment is included in the Cast a Spell set, so I didn't have to look far for the perfect message.  :)

Have a great week!

Moon dance magic!

Hello again!

We are continuing to celebrate the arrival of spooky season with a brand new digital release at Sweet November Stamps. The Moon Dance Witchwees collection adds four fabulous Witchwees to our ever growing coven of cuties, as well as the Moon Dance Manor background builder.

For my first card we find Witchwee Tabitha dancing under the moon light with the Moon Dance Manor off in the distance. She's just so happy that Halloween night is finally here! If you would like to see this scene being colored, there is a quick Reel over on Instagram that you can check out.

Next, we find Witchwee Edwina twirling across a moonlit meadow. She is a swirl of skirts and cape as the bats in the sky dance above her.

Witchwee Sabrina has a magic broom as her dance partner on this Halloween night. It's quite nimble for a broom and follows her lead effortlessly. In the background is a closer look at the Moon Dance Manor, all lit up for Sabrina's Halloween party.

Last, but not least, Witchwee Hester is a girl who knows how to get down and boogie! With the full moon as her spotlight, she is not shy about being center stage during their magical Halloween celebration.

Now be sure to check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Moon Dance magic from the rest of our amazing design team. Don't forget, I will be coloring one of these cuties Live today at 11am PDT over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page and I hope to see ya there!

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!

You are fangtastic...

Hello there!

Halloween keeps creeping closer and I've got another frightfully fun card for this week's Scenic Saturday over on the Bellarific blog. Oddball Dracula is making his dramatic entrance so beware!

Oddball Dracula is the long awaited companion to the Oddball Vampire Girl but he isn't afraid to be the solo star of Halloween night. For my first time stamping him up, I wanted to give Dracula a dramatic reveal by using a die that makes it look like a curtain is being pulled back by bats. I didn't even need to show his entire body because the classic sweep of his cape and mesmerizing stare are enough to draw in his next victim... LOL! I colored him in the traditional red and black color scheme then masked him and the bats off before airbrushing the dark red glow behind him, so that Dracula would stand out even more. The sentiment that the bats are framing is another from the new Wicked Words Sentiment set. All in all, this was a pretty quick card to put together yet it still conveys all of the fangtastic fun of Halloween.   :)

Stay crafty my friends!

Autumn Greeting release at Purple Onion!

TGIF my friends!

Fans of the Chilliezgraphy by Pei range of stamps at Purple Onion Designs will be super excited for the new Autumn Greetings collection that was just added to the shop today. There are six new stamps celebrating Fall and Halloween with all of the adorable critters that we know and love, each one coming with its own sentiment.

For my first card I stamped up this Warm and Cozy Cocoa Wishes bunny enjoying a hot cup of cocoa with her mouse friend. I thought they were perfect for a sweet faux postcard using the Vintage Postcard and Vintage Postcard add-on sets. The postage stamp is decorated with a leaf from the new Tofu and Friends Autumn Greeting stamp. I started off by  coloring the cozy friends, rocking chair and blanket by hand before masking them all off and using the Copic airbrush system to add the warm tones to the background. The sentiment is from the older Warming Winter Thoughts sentiment set and I played around with stamping half of it on a strip of faux washi tape. A sprinkling of enamel dots in coordinating colors help pull the whole design together.

Have fun perusing the new release! :)
