I love you deeply...

TGIF my friends!

There are only a few days left to add this month's Sweet November Vault release to your digi collection. Come Monday morning these classic SN mermaid's will be swimming back into the Vault and we won't see them again for quite a while. Fathom Calmsea and Lio here were colored up during the Lives last Saturday and I did some digi manipulating to change the direction of her tail as she has swum up behind those fancy corals from the Ocean Background Builder 2 set.
Now on July 1st Sweet November is taking a mini break with a much smaller release. There will be only one image released but we will also still have a freebie for the release days plus the exclusive July fairy tot for all those who have participated in the June challenge. Then come August we will be right back to our regular releases. :)

Ok, have a crafty weekend everybody!

Your party hat...

Olo!

I've got so many great stamp sets from My Favorite Things in my collection so it is always great when I cam make time in my crafty schedule to squeeze in a card using one of them. I simply adore Stacy Yacula's range of stamps and figured these sweet birthday mice would make for a super cute summer birthday card. The set is called, It's a Mice Time to Celebrate and of course I had to do some masking to create this fun party scene because that's what I love to do. I got a little help with the background from the Purple Onion The Perfect Spot stamp by the same artist then went to town coloring it all in. I seriously love how it looks like the little one in the glasses is standing on tippy toe to blow out that candle... SO cute! And I don't know about you but I want a slice of that cake, yummmmm

Alrighty friends, stay crafty!

Take flight...

Hello there!

The brand new June release from Dreamerland Crafts is hitting store shelves and there are 12 new images, each one just as cute as the last. 7 Kids actually has them all available for pre-order right now as they will be arriving any day now. This high flying cutie captured my heart immediately and I knew that he would be the first to get on a card. The stamp is called The Sky is the Limit and just look at the joy on his face as he and his kitten float high above the ground on their way to some grand adventure I'm sure. Either that or those kitty claws are giving him a good pinch, LOL! ;)

I was busy...

Hello friends!

Today I am sharing another card that I made for the TGF June release of the Minkie 2 set. This little gal appeared to be so engrossed with whatever she is watching on her phone and I really wanted to play that up on my card. I envisioned a scene of spotting her through a window as she whiles away the evening comfy entertained in her comfy cozy bed. So I grabbed a pen and added more panels to her blanket, extending it out to really fill out an entire mattress. Once I had everything all colored in, I die cut a window and popped the whole panel above the colored scene. To finish it off I added the little kitty from the HalloBean digi and a slightly snarky sentiment that makes me chuckle. I think we've all had this moment at one time or another, LOL! ;)

Live your dream...

Good morning!

Just in case you missed it this weekend, there is a new Sweet November Vault release currently open in the 7 Kids store. We have updated and re-released three more of the classic SN mermaids from 2010 and we celebrated with a couple of Live coloring videos in the 7 Kids Customers Create FB group on Saturday. This card is a result of the second Live we did where I mix and matched Current Ebbtide with Eddy the seal pup. We had a lot of fun coloring these two into a Sandy Allnock inspired underwater scene complete with sunken pirate ship. The Vault will remain open through next Monday but once the week is over these three mermaids will be swimming back in for who knows how long, so if you are loving them as much as we are be sure to go get them in your shopping cart. ;)

It's the June SN Vault release!

Hello happy crafters!

Today we are opening up the Sweet November Vault at 7 Kids and reintroducing you to some classic SN images. This month we have brought back three more of the original Sweet November mermaids that were originally released back in 2010. Current Ebbtide, Fathom Calmsea and Treasure Tempestwind will be available in the 7 Kids store through July 1st.  :)

First up is Current Ebbtide. For most of the year Current can be found swimming between the Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea. She has a very zen and mystical demeanor and she exudes a sense of peace and calm that flows out to all of the sea creatures that are lucky enough to share the waters with her. One of those friends is Anela, the angelfish, and together these two enjoy tending their undersea zen garden of anemones.
Now meet Fathom Calmsea and Lio (well... Lios on this card LOL). Fathom spends most of the year in the warm Pacific waters near the Hawaiian islands. She is a bit quiet and as mysterious as the deepest depths of the ocean. Her calm, caring demeanor leads her to watch over the smallest most vulnerable of her fellow sea creatures and they love her for it.
And the last of the mermaids omes to us from the frigid waters of the North Atlantic... please say hello to Treasure Tempestwind and her pal Eddy! When Treasure and Eddy aren't playing tag amongst the ice burgs she likes to search for shiny baubles, gems and coins in the wreckage of sunken ships which she then loves to adorn herself with. This girl has some serious bling
Fathom supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
digital stamps- Sweet November (Fathom Calmsea and Eddy, Ocean Background Builder set)

Sunshine...

Hello, hello!

Once again I am over on the Bellarific Blog with a Scenic Saturday card. Yesterday was the first official day of summer and my current cards are definitely reflecting the easy living life that comes with long, hot days. I still had the Littles out from my last Bella blog post so I decided to really have some fun mixing and matching several of the sets onto one card this time around. But how to do that without making it look too crowded and overwhelming? After a bit of a think I settled on turning my card front into a comic strip type of layout which gave me five small spaces to stamp and color individually yet come together at the end as one cohesive design. I ended up using stamps from the Sandcastle set, Umbrella set, Palm Tree set and Snorkel set then just made sure to use the same colors throughout all of the panels to help tie them together. I don't know about you but I sure wouldn't mind spending some time on that beach!

Keep cool everybody!

Wild as the sea...

Hey there!

I found this lovely mermaid sitting on my desk last week, still waiting to make it on a card after being colored Live during the May SN Vault release. So since it was a Vault release Pearl and Seamoor are no longer available BUT we have a brand new Vault release opening back up in the 7 Kids store tomorrow! Three more classic Sweet November mermaids along with their ocean going pals will be making their appearance for the following week. So be sure to stop by the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group tomorrow for fun and games as well as a couple of Live coloring videos. :)

Eat. Beach. Sleep. Repeat...

Howdy folks!

I've got another card to share from the Beach Day set that was just released at The Greeting Farm. This time I used the sand castle building cuties and colored them into a smaller scene so that I could still include some of the cool paper that I had pulled for color inspiration as well. And for a fun change up from my go-to stitched rectangle dies I instead grabbed my new Classic Flags die and gave it a whirl. I'm always on the look out for large card front sized dies that help add some style and interest when I'm cutting out my colored scenes for a card and this one is definitely going to be added to the regular rotation... I love it!

Talk at'cha later!

Make a splash...

Hey there!

I'm still plugging away at projects so here is another card from the June release Lives at 7 Kids. This time I cropped in close on Jewel Eboncave and added Skater and Ray swimming and dancing around her. After coloring it all in I also added a bunch of bubbles circling around them using first my colorless blender to push out color, then my Sharpie extra fine white pen to add a catch light then covering each bubble with glossy accents for extra shine. I love how this helps add movement and playfulness to the scene. :)

Alrighty, here's hoping for an extra crafty day!

Wanna grab a bite...

Hello there!

The rest of this week is going to be a busy one for me behind the scenes. Loads of cards to get done for upcoming releases and a Sweet November release to still tweak. Sooooo... that means this will be a catch up week here on the blog where I post some of the cards I have made over the last month but haven't yet been shared here. First up is this fun scene that I colored up during a Live coloring video on the 7 Kids page during the last release. For this one I thought it would be fun to pair up Delta Deepcove with Otto the otter from the May Vault release, especially when I added in the oyster rocks from the Ocean Background Builder #2 set. It really looks like these two are diving down for a bit of lunch together, LOL! As always I had a great time taking everyone's color suggestions and running with them, Delta sure looks pretty in her iridescent tail. :)

Alrighty, time for me to run. See ya in 24!

Best Friends...

Good morning!

I've been saving this sweet little gal in her summer dress from the Dreamerland January release for just the right time to get on a card. And now that we are just days away from the longest day of the year I decided to ink her up. This darling stamp is called Cute Teddy Bear and I love how sweet these two friends are together. With the teddy bear pointing forward like that I figured it would be nice if they had something to look at so I grabbed the hummingbird from the Photographer stamp set and added it in. Then I masked them all off and stamped in the cozy farmhouse behind them. I kept my Copic colors nice and bright so it looks like a sunny summer afternoon that they are enjoying. :)

Later gators!

It’s the 15th, and the JUNE Release is now available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store. We are so excited to introduce 4 new stamps this month!
MINKIE #2 captures Minkie with more expressions and on more adventures. Next, we showed you Anya and Ian having a great time surfing, building sandcastles, and watching the sun set with BEACH DAY. Then, we brought you a fabulous sentiment set called YOU because we can always use more sentiments to go with our stamps. Finally, we showcased a new cutie called BEACH BABE ANYA, who's ready to hit the sand for some fun.

You go...

Hi friends!

It's day 3 of the Greeting Farm's June release and we are introducing a new sentiments only set called You. I'm a big fan of sentiments on cards, in fact I would say 99.9% of the cards I make have a sentiment of some kind included on the front of the card. For me I enjoy how the perfect sentiment can help tie all of the other design elements together and really finish off a card perfectly. And this set is full of encouraging and uplifting sentiments in Marie's awesome script writing so I can see all sorts of different cards being made with it. Like this one I am sharing today combining two of the smaller sentiments in the set. I paired them with this super fan Minkie and bunting from the new Minkie #2 set for a fun, rah rah cheer you on type of card. :)

Now hop on over to the TGF blog to see all the inspiring cards from my fellow Farmers using the new You set, including two extras from me. Then check back tomorrow for day the fourth and final day of previews.

Waves of fun...

Hello again!

It's day 2 of the June previews at The Greeting Farm and today introducing the new Beach Day set. As we find ourselves smack dab in summer time crafting, this set of fun loving kiddos are enjoying all sorts of beach activities. There are four main images, two couples and two individuals, as well as a bunch of great sentiments and a few little accessories included. I decided to share two cards today as I had a lot of fun coloring righteous waves for my two little surfers to hang 10 on. I think they look like they are having the time of their lives riding the barrel hoping they don't get caught in the pit and have a gnarly wipe out. ;)

Ok, time to head on over to the TGF blog for even more Beach Day fun from my fellow Farmers, plus a bonus card from me. And don't forget that the entire release will be available for purchase on the 15th. See you back here tomorrow for day three!

Aloha...

Hey there!

It's time to kick off previews for the June release at The Greeting Farm! If you fell in love with the quirky little Minkie character that was introduced last month then get ready to double the fun because today we are showcasing the new Minkie #2 set. Being on the small side these little stamps are perfect for planners and journals as well as a variety of cards. The set includes nine different Minkies that work great alone, together or mix and matched with the previous set. For my card today I was drawn to this sweet singing musician who looked to me like she was performing on a beach in Hawaii. I found a pretty paper in my stash that had that same vibe and then colored her into a serene ocean side sunset. I then grabbed some flowers to match and added the sentiment from the Aloha kit to finish this card off.

Be sure to check out the TGF blog to see all of the fun cards from my fellow Farmers using the new Minkie's #2 set as well as an extra card from me. Then check back tomorrow for day 2 of previews. :)

More than unicorns...

Good morning!

So I was enjoying a crafty day at my pal Tracey's last week and we thought it would be fun to pull out our sets of the Unicorn Tales stamps from Hello Bluebird and give them a play. We also both had new Life Changing Blender Brushes from Picket Fence to try out so Tracey encourages me to forego the colored background scene and go for some ink blending instead. I have yet to master the fabulous ink blends I see on so many cards out there so this made me a bit nervous, but it is good to shake things up now and then so I grabbed my blender brush and some pretty pink oxide inks and went for it. I gotta say, those blender brushes totally live up to their name... the results are SO much smoother than anything I've done with the old Time Holtz sponge blenders. Once that was done it was all about coloring and die cutting the rest of the elements for the card, heck, I even used vellum! LOL I actually had so much fun creating this that the next day when I sat down to make the Rabbit Hole mermaid card that I shared on Friday I pulled out my brushes and inks once again. Now this doesn't mean I'm abandoning my scene coloring by any means but it is nice to have something else to play with and keep things fresh, so thank you Tracey for dragging me out of my box, I can't wait for you to share your unicorns too! :)

Have a great week everybody!
