Make today beautiful...

Hello again!

Town was already hoppin' yesterday so I'm gearing up for another busy day today. It's great though because the work days always go by faster when people are constantly in and out, so I'm not complaining one bit. :)

To unwind a bit last night, I threw together this quick card while watching Dr. Who... yes, I'm totally hooked, LOL! Anywho, with my recent stamping hiatus I fell even further behind on my goal to ink up and get all my new stamps onto cards. So once again I am going to do my best to show these stamps some love sooner rather than later. First to get crossed off my list is Sunflower Girl Pure Innocence. Usually we've got a pretty big sunflower patch by this time of year but they kind of got neglected this summer so I'm going to have to stick with the stamped variety for now. At least I'm still doing great using up scraps, the happy blue and yellow combo in this Pebbles paper has been a frequent go-to so my stash of it is finally dwindling. :)

And with that I shall bid you farewell. See ya again in 24!

Let's celebrate you...

Hello, hello!

I've got a busy Labor Day weekend ahead of me. I'll be working straight through and town is always busy for this last hoorah of summer but I still plan on carving some time out for myself as well.  How about you guys? Any big plans for the long weekend?

For my card today I printed out another little Pee Wee Designs cutie called Little Miss Sunshine. She's another digital stamp from there Summer Fun collection and I really wanted to get her colored up before wrapping up this summer. I think she is a total cutie and needed to be on a fun birthday card. The paper is old Doodlebug from my bag of scraps and it forced me out of my coloring comfort zone with those bright RV pinks. They always freak me out a bit with their fluorescent look when I start coloring but it is cool watching them mellow a bit as they dry.

Ok, I gotta scoot.

Back to school...

Hi guys!

I'm still getting back on track with my card making so I decided to check out the challenges going on over at The Greeting Farm before diving in yesterday. When I saw that the Farm Fresh Friday challenge was a back to school theme I was in business. This paper has been floating around my desk for ages and the library check out card look of it was perfect for a school themed card. Then I just had to find the right stamp to pull it all together. Birthday Anya 3 has also taken up residence on my desk so why not do a bit of head swapping to give her a first day of school outfit? For this my old stand by, Dress Up Anya, provided my new little student with the cute argyle vest that has her looking extra studious.

Alrighty then, time for me to get ready for work. Take care and thanks for stopping by! :)

I'm batty over you...

Long time, no see!

Well, I know that it has been quite the hiatus from posting here but I am thrilled to report that my mom's recent bout of pancreatitis is finally behind us. She is back home and doing well so the whole fam is happy about that and hopefully (fingers crossed) this will be the last of it all. I am soooo ready to jump back into things and get creative again. :)

And I'm doing just that with a new card for the Sweet November August review preview over on the CCD blog. When I drew Tish it was with the intention of her working together with the first little SN vampire to hit the scene, Thurston. So I've been dying to get this pair on a card together ever since her release. Now I'm just trying to figure out if they are out vamping each other or if they are in the middle of some Halloween tango, LOL!
There are many more spooktacular cards to be seen over at the CCD blog and of course the August stamps can be found in the CC Designs store, here.

Thanks for hanging in there with me during the absence, I'm excited to see what everyone has been up to lately!
Later gators!

Happy Halloween...

Hi guys...

I'm popping in real quick with a review preview for the new Roberto's Rascals stamps at CCD. Even though things are still a bit crazy I really wanted to make time to get this super cute Broom Ride stamp onto a card. Little Twila has dressed herself up as a witch for Halloween and her feline friend over their sure doesn't look thrilled about having to join the fun, LOL! As always, the CCD blog is full of review preview inspiration so don't miss check that out today. :)

On a personal note, my Mom is doing ok though the doctors believe that her pancreatitis has returned. So we've got a trip over to Seattle on Friday for another procedure. Hopefully once that is behind us, her health will get back on track and I'll get back to having some free time as well as an inclination to get into the crafty room on a more frequent basis. So until then I'm afraid this blog will continue to be a bit neglected.

Hugs!

A quick update...

Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that I'll be absent here a few more days. My mom has been back in the hospital so I'm not feeling all that crafty at the moment. Hopefully all will be well and I'll get back into the swing of things before too long.

Hugs- Amy

Hey there pumpkin...

Hello, hello!

Can you believe we are kicking off this weekend with thunder and lightening storms?! The past 24 hours have been pretty wild here... quite the change up from all the heat and sunshine. If anything it has certainly helped me to get into the Halloween spirit a bit early. ;)

I made this card for the CC Designs preview earlier in the week so I'm taking a minute to get it up here on my blog today. It features the new Pumpkin Birgitta, who is available now in the CCD store, and some more of the October Afternoon Witch Hazel paper. She's such a cute addition to the Swiss Pixie range of stamps and from the look of things Birgitta has had a pretty successful night of trick or treating.
And while it may only be the beginning of August, it's never too early to start thinking about the upcoming holiday card making season... which Halloween will be kicking off. :)

Alrighty friends, hope your Friday is fantastic and I will see you back here tomorrow with some Halloween winners!

Trick or treat....

Hi guys!

The CC Designs previews aren't over yet, we've still got the new Halloween themed Roberto's Rascals to preview today. Henry and Twila are back and ready to do some trick or treating. I've inked up the All Wrapped Up stamp featuring Henry and his pup who are using tissue to dress as mummies for Halloween. The pair of them make for such a cute scene that I didn't want to fuss the rest of the card up too much. So I went for a CAS design and kept the embellishing to a minimum. :)

There are more Halloween hijinks to be seen from my fellow CCD teamies over on the CC Designs blog with one more chance to win the new stamps before you can buy them tonight in the CC Designs store so scoot on over and check that out!
