From my gnome to yours...

Hello and Happy Easter!

The cute Li'l Gnomies digi release hit the shelves at Sweet November Stamps yesterday and these playful kiddos are still learning what it takes to become magical guardians of the garden just like their elders.

My first card finds Li'l Gnathan heading home from a birthday party, pinwheel in hand. I paired him with the large tree house from the Forest Abode clear set, which looks like quite the comfy, cozy gnome home if you ask me.

And for my second card today, Li'l Gnaomi was colored during my morning Live over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. She and her pet ladybug were paired with the flower house from the Gned and Gnina clear set and we had a blast coloring them into this wooded background. The mix of bright, happy colors suit these two to a 'T'!  :)

Have a hippity hoppity day full of chocolate bunnies my friends!

Always be my gnomie...

Hello friends!

It's time for a new digital stamp release at Sweet November Stamps and today we have added four Li'l Gnomies to the store. Gnicholas, Gnellie, Gnathan and Gnaomi are young and playful and just as sweet as can be.

My first card finds Li'l Gnicholas out on a nature walk with a snail friend from the Penelope and Fibonacci digi set. As the sun gets higher in the sky, they find a nice shady spot to rest beneath the mushrooms from the Midsummer Mushroom: Honeycup set.

And for my second card today, Li'l Gnellie has been out picking daisies for her butterfly friend from the Penelope and Flit digital set. The tall mushrooms from the Midsummer Mushroom Pixie Cap set wave gently in the breeze as these two chat away the afternoon.

Now be sure to check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Li'l Gnomies cuteness from the rest of our talented design team. Also, don't forget, I will be coloring Live today at 11am PDT over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page and I hope to see ya there!

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!

Fairy dust wishes...

TGIF my friends!

The new release in the Moonlight Whispers shop had me feeling nostalgic yesterday so I ended up reaching for my binder of old Kraftin' Kimmie stamps for something to create with. To me, Spring is the time for fairies and I felt myself drawn to this pretty Rosabelle fairy to ink up. Out of curiosity I checked the ol' blog to see when was the last time that I had made a card with her and can you believe it was all the way back in March of 2012?! Talk about a blast from the past, LOL!  So I stamped Rosabelle up and added the bee that comes with the old Kraftin' Kimmie Peony girl stamp, to keep her company. When it came time to create the background I was inspired by an awesome card that my crafty pal, Allison shared recently, and I used the Copic airbrush system to add the final shades of green after I had colored in the large blades of grass. I love the glow it creates shining down on Rosabelle. Annie, the illustrator of Moonlight Whispers has been re-imagining and re-releasing some of the older Kraftin' Kimmie images and I'm not gonna lie... I really hope we see some new fairies before too long!  ;)

Enjoy your weekend!

Flowers are like friends...

Hey there!

I'm up on the Hello Bluebird blog with yet another card celebrating this beautiful Spring season. I've finally got some daffodils blooming in my garden so I thought it appropriate to ink up one of the cuties from the Flower Friends set. With Easter only a few days away I'm still in bunny mode so I decided to build this scene around the pretty bunny pulling her wagon full of Spring blooms. The pastoral background was done with some selective inking of the Country Roads Background stamp. Because I wanted to add the little bird that is also from the Flower Friends set to the wagon full of flowers, I stamped it first and then covered it with a mask before stamping the bunny and wagon. Next, I masked the bunny so I could stamp the background over top. To give the Country Roads Background a more wide open look, I chose not to ink up the large branch up top and I wiped the ink away from the tree root down in the grass. To fill the space in the sky I instead stamped the clouds from the Flower Friends set, which helped give this scene a whole new look.

Next, it was time to start coloring and I filled the scene with lots of green grass and sunlit blue sky using Copic markers. Because I had already used the Gallery Frame #3 die to cut out a pretty pink frame, I colored the wagon to match and used the same shades of pink in the flowers and her pretty floral dress. The large sentiment fit perfectly on the hillside and I stamped it using Versamark watermark ink and heat embossed it in white. With the frame glued into place all that was left to do was add it all to a card base and call this card complete.  :)

See ya in 24!

Welcome Spring...

Hello, hello!

The little windows of space that make up the Postage Collage mini slimline die from Waffle Flower gave me the perfect opportunity to put some of the cute mini images from Purple Onion Designs in the spotlight. Stamps like the Garden Bugs set, May, the garden bird and Iris, the cute little running mouse. Each one gets to shine in their own vignette of Spring cheer and happiness, especially once I added the Flora and Fauna set flowers, Wildflowers, tall flowers and the clouds from the Fairgrounds Background to help set the each scene. I added the Welcome Spring sentiment from the Sweet Occasions Sentiment set to the middle panel to finish up this adorable card full wee garden cuties.  :)

Toodles!

HBD2U...

Good morning!

I've been so busy wrapping up design work for the upcoming MerMay release at Sweet November that I haven't had as much time for card making. So, I was searching through my hard drive to find a card that I hadn't shared here yet and look who I found... little Paisley! I can't believe that I made this card during her release last summer and never got around to sharing her here on the ol' blog. It's a clean and simple design with the confetti stencil in the background and I concentrated most of my efforts into the no-line coloring of Paisley herself. The pinks and purples make for a pretty little birthday card. :)

Later gators!
