Hope your Halloween is a scream

Greetings and salutations to all you crafty 'ghouls'! LOL
I know not everyone celebrates Halloween but I hope your day is frightfully delightful. :)
Our downtown business association gives out candy tonight so I will be donning my fancy witch hat and candy corn jewelry after work to spread joy and cavities to all our local kiddies... always fun to see the streets lined with the different little characters.
So seriously, how could I not post a Halloween card today? Especially when the Mystery Monday challenge at Club Anya is all about Halloween this week too. Now I realize that I don't technically qualify since I used Sprouts rather than Anyas but I had this idea to turn Hugh and Dahlia into a pair of zombies so I just had to run with it. ;)
I did have to alter Dahlia a bit to get the look I wanted... got rid of the flowers and pattern on her dress, changed her mouth and added the skully barrette. Hugh on the other hand looked perfectly zombie-ish as is, LOL! I can't even tell you how much fun I had coloring these two as pasty faced little un-deads and the new Basic Grey paper made a cool yet kinda creepy backdrop for them.
From here on out I will be diving full force into Christmas cards, still need to get more made before the end of November but I thrive under a deadline. ;)
Now to end this post with my best maniacal mad-scientist laugh in honor of the day... BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHA! :)

An award and a challenge

First things first, Victoria passed this blog award on to me and now I've got to share five things before passing it onto five more fellow bloggers. Thanks Victoria! :)
Ok, five things...
1. I watched the new Tinkerbell animated movie last night... and loved it.
2. I'm wearing my favorite red sweater to work today.
3. I don't like watermelon.
4. I just got a new order of Copics in the mail yesterday and I'm a happy girl.
5. I just finished up the design for a future Fairy Sweet stamp.

Now I will pass this to: Donna, Claire, Amy, Gabby, and Lisa. :)
So I know I said I was done with Halloween cards for the year but I just can't help myself... especially when there are fun Halloween challenges out there like the one over at the ATS challenge blog this week. I did a bit of altering on Bathing Beauty Emma from C.C. Designs, transforming her into a little witch just for the occasion. :)

Looks to be a Gorjuss Christmas

So sorry to have to post and run again... what can I say? Things are just busy, busy, busy around here right now. Hope you understand. :)
Though I will say this... in general I am not a fan of sports games. I don't watch them, I don't participate in them, I have zero interest in them. So I am always beyond annoyed when they postpone my quality show time, like Glee night for baseball... grrrrrrrrrrrrr... ok, vent over. ;)
For today's card I altered Poppy Field Gorjuss Girl into a little winter girl. Which wasn't hard, I swear! Just draw a line a little above the hem of her dress and then a line down the middle to create a coat. I cut the ear muffs out of paper and covered them with white flocking then glued them to her head, drawing in the band after that. Easy peasy. :)
More 'old as the hills' paper scraps on this one, the embroidered looking santa scene has always been a favorite Daisy D's paper of mine and I use it sparingly, not letting any go to waste. ;)
Have a wonderful Wednesday my friends... if that is even possible since there will be no Glee... :(
Supply list:
cardstock- kraft and Bazzill
paper- Daisy D's (santa) Sweetwater (stitched white)

Farm Fresh punchy challenge

Well hello again my friends, I hope all is well. It's a work day for me so I gotta keep this fairly short and sweet. :)
Be sure to scroll down to yesterday's post if you would like a chance at winning this week's blog candy.
Ok, I've got another Christmas card to share with you today and it works for the Farm Fresh Friday punch challenge over at The Greeting Farm. I loved the idea of using Riding Hood from the Signature set as a little holiday girl delivering a bit of good cheer in the form of some delicious Christmas cookies.
Now I'll be the first to admit that I was a bit more ambitious on this card than I had originally intended... you see, I didn't account for the amount of coloring all those cookies would require. Oy. But in the end it was worth it and besides all the coloring the rest of the card is pretty simple. When I found this scrap of oooooooooold Doodlebug paper I knew it was the perfect finishing touch. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and GP

It's a beautiful morning...

Mmmmm, the sun is shining, the air is crisp, a blanket of gold lies on the ground... seriously, it doesn't get much better than this. Oh wait, yes it does... I have today off too. Can you say perfect day? I can! :)

Remember that you still have until tonight to get entered into this first Sweet November candy. The winner will be announced on tomorrow's post and the second week of candy will start on Monday... too fun!

So you may notice a bit of a change up with my card today, I've never used any of the Bee Crafty images before but I gotta say... they were pretty fun to color. :) You see, I recently swapped some stamped images with the very sweet Alice and these were two of the images she sent me. I was inspired to put the two together right away and the rest of the card came together super quick. In fact the papers are left overs of the scraps I used on my Fairy Eva card from earlier this week... what can I say, they were still sitting on the table. But how perfect are they? Those little birdies in the paper are almost a perfect match to the stamped bird... love it when that happens!
Thank you Alice for widening my stamping world just that much more, I can't wait to play with the other images you sent! :)

And now I thought I would put a call out to anyone who has the elusive limited edition Elf Anya stamp from last year... if you would like to swap some stamped images of her with me for any stamped images I have I would be eternally grateful. Just shoot me an email at pete_danger@hotmail.com
I promise to make it worth your while! ;)
Ok, I'm off to enjoy the great outdoors... raking leaves LOL!
See ya tomorrow!

A bit of altering

Hola chicas!
You've still got today and most of tomorrow to get entered into this week's blog candy... just go here.
If you've been curious about how I alter stamps (like Birthday Anya on today's card) then you might want to head on over to the Club Anya blog. I've got a little tutorial up that walks you through my process. And this isn't just for Anyas, it works on any stamp you might want to change up a bit.

So I wanted to have some fun with this Christmas card. Doesn't Anya look like that girl at the office party who with just one more drink will be dancing on a table or sitting on Santa's lap? LOL
I had the perfect papers and embellishments in my stash so I went for it. Ya gotta go a little crazy once in a while right? ;)
Now to figure out who to send it too... Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and GP

A spooky little girl like you...

Did you 'bust a move' last night? LOL
Raise your hand if you loved Glee (me, me)! I was grinning like a fool through the whole show. But how bittersweet to hear that we have to wait a few weeks until a new episode airs... booo... :(

Confession, I watched Eastwick too... thus the title for today's post. ;)

So Halloween is only a little over a week away and I figured I could still squeak in one last card for the occasion. I went with another Gorjuss Girl stamp and drew a witch hat to spook her up a bit. :)
You'll be proud to know that the rest of the paper and supplies are left-overs from a mini album I made. Yeah for scraps!

Sadly I've got to make today's post short and sweet... lots to do and work to get ready for so I will bid you adieu.

That fall magic

Happy Glee day everyone, LOL! I know I'm not the only one out there excited for tonight's episode. ;)
There is still plenty of time to get your name in the hopper for this week's blog candy just check out this post here...
Ok, so onto my card for the day. This one is for the Anyone for Anya challenge to use fall colors. Which was perfect because I just got my new Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg paper pack... but what about my vow to use up scraps first? Well, after the wonderful response I got for using the cover sheet packaging earlier this week I knew I was in good company and that you are a group of gals who can appreciate revisiting that idea once again. :)
So I cut and pieced together the little pattern samples to make this card and even though it was more work than the last time, I have to say I'm diggin' the smaller scale of the patterns for my cards plus I really do like turning those scraps into something cute.
I used Fairy Eva (one of my all time fave TGF stamps), though I did open her eyes up to give her a bit of a different look. And I also Glimmer Misted the paper leaves but it may be a bit hard to tell that in the photo.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope your day is a great one!Supply list:

Stamper's OCD

Good morning! Be sure to scroll down to yesterday's post if you would like a chance at winning this week's candy. :)
So my card today is for the Farm Fresh No Frills challenge over at The Greeting Farm. Anyone doing a double-take on the two Edwards? I sure did a few weeks ago when I was cruising through the galleria and noticed one of the cards had an Edward with hair pointing the opposite direction from the Edward stamp I had. This intrigued me... you see, I was lucky enough to win my Edward stamp just before its release, so I wondered if that first batch of stamps was made with hair pointing to the right while following re-orders the image got flipped and his hair started going to the left? This is where my OCD comes into play... how could I not order one just to see if I was right? So I ordered and my suspicions were confirmed... there are two versions of Edward out there! Ahhhhhh, now I feel like my Sprout collection is complete once again. This compulsion could start to rival my paper collecting... sick I tell ya, sick... ;)
No regrets though because as you can see now I have that many more possibilities for altering LOL! Let's see... I changed Hugh's eyes by wiping the ink off his original ones and using my light box to trace Edwards eyes onto him. Then I used one of the Edward heads with a Hugh body that I swiped off the bandanna and patch on the jeans. Now I have three individual looking little friends... gotta love it. :)
Allrighty, it's off to work I go...Supply list:

Sweet November

But it's October you say... not November you crazy girl. I promise you I am not crazy, just SUPER excited to finally share my big news with everyone! :)
Remember those fairy images I drew a few months back? Well, I have been so amazingly blessed to have been asked by the uber talented Christine Wooden of C.C. Designs to design my own line of stamps for her online store, All That Scraps... and those four fairies will be the first rubber stamps in my Sweet November Stamps line!
I still can't believe how all of this has come about, I mean if you had told me at the beginning of this year that by the end of the year I would be designing stamps, I would have said you were nuts! LOL! But I am having a blast and hopefully my little 'Fairy Sweets' will make others just as happy as they make me. :)
So the official release date isn't until Monday, November 2nd but I'm going to be sharing sneak peeks here on my blog for all you faithful readers... because without your excitement and encouragement this would have never happened. :)
And as my 'thank you' I will be offering some 'win-it-before-you-can-buy-it' blog candy over the next three weeks. Sounds pretty fun, right? Each Monday I will post the candy and you will have until the following Saturday to link my candy on your blog and post here to let me know. Then on Sunday I will post the winner chosen by that random number generator. Easy peasy lemon squeezey!
Up for grabs this first week is the Fidget Goblinspider rubber stamp, along with a little card kit of goodies that I've put together which includes: K&Co paper, ribbon, twill, Prima flowers, Creative Cafe felt butterflies, gems, buttons, four card blanks and envelopes, as well as my card sample posted above. I will ship anywhere so all are welcome to play!
Have fun friends and good luck! :)

Snow friends

Hey sweeties, having a good Sunday? I'm just happy that the sun is finally shining again after about a week of grey rain and drizzle. This has been such an odd fall season, usually by now all of the leaves on the birch trees in the yard have turned yellow and fallen to the ground but this year most of them are still green and hanging on the trees... what can I say, I miss my golden fall. :(
Anywho, I think the little arctic blast we experienced at the beginning of the week influenced me to skip right into making a winter card LOL! The snowman is from the Keep Cozy TGF set, which I don't have yet but Kadie sent me an image to play with back when I got my swap cards... thanks again Kadie! And the Ian image is actually an altered Santa Ian from the Xmas Sweeties set. Basically I used a baby wipe to swipe the ink off of the inner parts of his coat and hat, getting rid of the belt and fur before stamping. I then drew in the scarf, pockets and stripes on the hat to make him look like a kid ready to play outside in the snow.
I ummm... seem to have misplaced my copic list for this one somewhere on my desk. But seeing as I have to take a picture of some candy today ;) the desk will be cleaned and when I find it I will add the deets.
TTFN!

paper- Scenic Route
stamps- The Greeting Farm (Keep Cozy set, Xmas Sweeties set) CTMH (sentiment)

More confessions of a paper addict

So... I've mentioned before that I have a slight affinity for pretty papers. I've also mentioned that I tend to hang on to paper scraps from all my various projects. This acquiring of new while keeping the old can tend to get a bit overwhelming... but I enjoy the challenge of pulling from my scraps to make my cards. You would think that would be enough to keep me busy but oh no, I have a sickness I tell ya! Not only do I keep my regular paper scraps, I also tend to keep pretty packaging as well. Case in point, my card for today. The sentiment, brown strip and paper are all off the packaging sheet that came on the front of the My Mind's Eye paper kit I bought recently. It made for a really quick card considering I didn't have to cut all those different strips of paper... it just looks like I did. :)
Considering how pleased I am with the way this card came out, I shall remain unrepentant for my paper stashing tendencies. ;)
Oh! And for all those who requested sneak peeks of my fairy stamps, no worries. I promise they are coming... along with some candy! Just be sure to check back here on Monday for all of the fun to begin! :)

Are you enjoying this TGIF? I sure am... even if it is wet and rainy here. I think that is just a sign to spend a bit more time inside card making today... ;)
Oh and I know it got put off due to the blog hop but yes, I did watch Glee this week and the rivalry between Sue and Shue cracks me up plus the song numbers were fab-o yet again... sigh, I still love this show. It just makes me laugh. :)
So my card today is from the new Xmas Sweeties set that is now available over at The Greeting Farm. I thought Anya would make a cute Mrs. Santa Claus and I even made my own text pattern paper by printing out the lyrics from the old Nat King Cole Christmas song that I just adore. Anyone else out there know the Mrs. Santa Claus song? I highly recommend google searching it if you've never heard it... :)

A signature reveal

So did y'all have fun today on the blog hop?
Are you ready to see if you guessed right?
Well, if you guessed that Kim was featured here today you get a gold star! LOL! :) Oh but wait... one of you gets more than just a star, how about a Mom/Dad stamp set?
Betch'a want to know who won, huh? :)
Drum roll please......................Craftypagan come on down, you're today's lucky winner! Woohoo!

And here's the full reveal of my card that was over on Kim's blog today. I thought I was being pretty obvious with the altered open eyes but I'm glad I was still able to stump a few of ya. :)
So like I said, I altered the image on the front by opening her eyes and then for the image on the inside of the card I used Mommy Anya's head with Dress Up Anya's body and clothes... looks like she's still working on losing that baby weight... LOL! ;)
I also altered the baby girl stamp by cutting off the petal bonnet from the original image.
How's that for a signature Amy card? :)

Hope you all enjoyed the hop today!

It's a hoppin' good time!

Hello, hello my fellow Anya friends!

Welcome to the Club Anya Blog Hop! If you've stopped here first be sure to go back to the CA blog and Pam's blog to get started.

We are switching it up on you this month by playing a fun little game called, "Guess My Signature Style".
Today each Club Anya DT member's blog has been overtaken by another team member... gasp! Your mission? Figure out WHOs signature style we are talking about on each DT members blog. Think you know the answers? Well, leave a comment on our blogs and a random winner will be chosen at 8pm CST tonight for a PRIZE!

What's the Prize you ask?

Well, that's the fun part ;) You'll have to come back tonight at 8PM CST to see MY Signature style, the full reveal of my card, and find out who's blog I was featured on today. Oh, and the best part? The stamp I used on my card is the stamp YOU'LL WIN! How fun does this sound?!

So are you in?
Good. Let's get started!

Here are the details of a CADT member....let's see if you can guess who I'm talking about:

My signature clothes: Love colour and comfortable clothes, love jumpers and cosy tops.
My signature shoes: my diesel trainers or crocs.

My signature accessories of choice: I maintain the less is more kinda look!
My signature addiction: Tea and paper.
My signature stamping style: I can't live without my copic markers.

And here's a snippet from her signature card...

So have you figured it out yet? :)
After you've posted your guess here be sure to head on over to Suzi's blog as she is your next stop in the hop. :)
Have fun!

How cool is this?

Please scroll down if you are looking for today's Club Anya sneak peek post...
because I've just got to pop in and let all my blog readers know about a fun blog I was asked to participate in recently.
At the Society of Stamp and Scrap-aholics Deborah features a different 'Wednesday Wonder' most weeks and I was flattered when she wanted to feature me. Apparently I have Donna and Kelly to thank for this opportunity and I send big 'thank you' hugs out to both of you because this was a lot of fun! Though I swear Deborah makes me sound MUCH more interesting than I believe myself to be... she's very good at the art of the write-up. :)
Thanks so much for having me be a part of your Wednesday Wonders Deborah, I am proud and honored to be amongst such a talented group of ladies!

Oh and if you have been waiting for info on those fairy stamps I've been teasing and hinting about... you may want to go give this a read... ;)

A bundle of fun

Well here we are at the final sneak peek over at Club Anya this week. Just look at these proud little parents... how cute are Anya and Ian?! They are from the Mommy/Daddy set that also includes a few sentiment stamps as well and will be released tomorrow... yeah!
Now, for my card I just couldn't resist the idea that this wasn't their first child so I had to include little Dorothy from the Signature set and a slightly altered monkey boy from the Wild Things set... oh and Pretty Hat's dog too. :) Because there were so many characters and so much coloring going on with this one I kept the rest of the card really simple.
If you haven't been to the CA blog yet you really must pop on over to check out the super cute projects made by the rest of the DT... they are all totally adorable!
And don't forget about the blog hop tomorrow to celebrate the new release... lots of fun and prizes to be had! :) Supply list:

Good things come in small packages

Hello! Hope all is well on this fine Tuesday. :)
If you are coming from the Club Anya blog you've already seen our sneak peek for the day, and here it is again... the new Signature set! Not only do you get these three little cuties but also "to", "from", "handmade by", as well as both the Club Anya crest and TGF logo for the backs of all your cards. Fun stuff right? :)
I'm really diggin' this new smaller sized Anya... they are a bit bigger than the kids from the Spooktacular and Wild Things sets but definitely not as large as a regular Anya. I just love the versatility of this fun, new size and hope to see some more introduced in the future. :)
For my peek I made a little note card set with each sentiment and paper choice playing off of that particular Anya's story line. I also kept the overall design really clean and simple so I could potentially make a bunch of these fairly quickly as I think they'll make for a fun gift set.
If you haven't already, be sure to hop on over to the Club Anya blog to see what the rest of the CADT have created with these little darlings... you won't be disappointed! :)
See you tomorrow for our final day of sneak peeks before the release day blog hop on Thursday!

Today is the first sneak peek of this month's Anya release and the Xmas Sweeties set is being featured... LOVE them! I was totally psyched when I opened my first package and saw these cuties staring back at me. Now you also know why I've had to hold back on posting TGF Christmas cards. ;)
I also used the new TGF Christmas paper on this card, pretty cute stuff huh? And this is just the beginning of the the peeks... I have a feeling there are going to be some VERY excited gals in a couple days... LOL sneaky, sneaky...
Oh and don't forget to play along in the New Beginnings challenge also going on this week. The first place prize is this entire release! Second and third place aren't too shabby either. ;)
