The Best Gift...

Hello, hello!

I've got another card to share today using one of the super cute new stamps from this year's Christmas release at Dreamerland Crafts. This stamp is called Guess What I Have Bought and I paired it with the older Mix and Match Railing and Lamp Posts set to create a magical winter night scene. These two sweethearts find themselves exchanging gifts on a quaint little foot bridge overlooking a frozen stream and the surrounding forest... sounds pretty idyllic if you ask me. They have both taken the time to make a special gift for the other and they can't wait to share them with each other. But like the sentiment implies, the real gift is the relationship they share. :)

Alrighty friends, I will be coloring live this morning at 11 am PST in the 7 Kids Customers Create group using a stamp from this month's featured vendor, High Hopes Stamps. Hope to see you there!

Be Merry, Be Bright...

Good morning!

I couldn't let this holiday go by without getting these two cuties from the It's a Roberto's Christmas set onto a card. I just think they are both so cute and since they worked together so nicely I did a bit of masking to bring Twila in close to the tree and make it all one cohesive scene. They both look quite proud of their dinky little Charlie Brown tree and you just know that they think it is the most beautiful Christmas tree ever. And I'm sure it will be as soon as they finish decorating it. ;)

Merry Christmas...

Hey there!

Just a quick little post to share this sweet Christmas card I made for the Cozy With You release at The Greeting Farm. By masking the cookies from the set as I stamped it created the look of them all piled on top of each other. Then all I had to do was use a simple circle die to cut them out and with a bit more coloring I had the plate they were resting on. The papers are old favorites from October Afternoon and I love how they work with this stamp set creating a card that is all about the sweetness that this season brings. :)

Toodles!

The Sweet November Vault is open...

Hello friends!

Today marks our second Sweet November Vault opening at 7 Kids. If you missed it last month, the Vault is a special 24 hour period where we bring back a few select 'classic' Sweet November rubber images and convert them to a new digital format. So if you missed getting them 'back in the day' now is your chance... and they are quite the deal too!

This month's Vault treasures are two different Christmas angels. Angel Felicity with her bouquet of pretty poinsettias was first released in October of 2012. This sweet angel has a love for decorating and beautifying her surroundings during the holiday season. Felicity positively radiates love and good cheer and now that she is a digital stamp it is easy to play around with sizing  like I did on my card for today. By cropping in tight and blowing her up big I was able to really focus on her expressive face.
If you can believe it Angel Celeste was a digital release all the way back in November of 2009. I'm pretty sure she was the first angel I ever did and she is back now to bring peace and serenity to all those magical winter nights. If you missed out on getting these two beauties in the past be sure to grab them now. Once these 24 hours pass who knows how long it will be before they make their return.  ;)

Ever in your favor...

TGIF my friends!

Are you ready for the altered version of Uptown Zodiac Girl Sagittarius? When I first began this personal challenge I always kind of dreaded Sagittarius because I had no idea how I would alter her to have that pose make sense for anything other than holding a bow and arrow. It wasn't until I decided to embrace that bow and arrow and look at her as a different character that it all fell into place. The simplest change to make on Sagittarius would be to wipe away her mini dress and draw in her missing torso so that I could color an entire bodysuit onto her instead thus creating my version of Katniss from The Hunger Games. By typing in my own sentiment from the story it really brought the whole card together. I gotta say, for being the challenge I most dreaded, this was a pleasant surprise and so fun to create. ;)

Now don't forget to check back tomorrow for this month's SN Vault release. Two classic Sweet November images have been given a digital update and will be available for 24 hours only at 7 Kids

Make a wish...

Good morning crafty friends!

I just keep plugging away at my personal challenge to create birthday cards for each of the Stamping Bella Zodiac Girls and this month is all about Sagittarius. Sagittarius is the sign of the Archer. She is energetic, ambitious, generous, freedom-loving and a seeker of challenge. She is open to new ideas and exploration. Sagittarius' signature color is purple, the uncommon color of royalty and the artistic. I don't have anybody in my family or circle of friends born under this sign so I didn't have anyone in particular in mind when I colored her up. Still, I think she turned out pretty darn cool. ;)

Tomorrow I will have the altered version of Sagittarius to share so be sure to check back then!

You Warm My Heart...

Olo!

I'm back with another guest designer post for Pink and Main and this week I am working with the sweet Cocoa Cafe stamp set. This set comes with two characters, a handful of sentiments and the great Cocoa Cafe itself. And if all that wasn't good enough, the set is currently on sale right now too! Once again I found myself masking and stamping in desert sand ink to create a quaint little winter scene that looks like it was pulled straight from a picture book. I framed the festive cafe with two grey, hum drum kind of shops to make it stand out as a magical little oasis of holiday cheer. And it looks like that little guy is more than ready to head inside and sample some of their special cocoa flavors.

Toodles!

Twinkle...

Hello, hello!

I'm back posting for 7 Kids today and I've even got another Gorjuss Girl that I inked up. This time I grabbed one of the minis to play with and ended up with something a bit different. This is actually my second attempt at coloring up Miss Fairy Lights but after my first full color version ran into a series of unfortunate events I decided to take a cue from classic Christmas movies and go black and white. Not only did this save me time in the re-color but it also lent a very dramatic effect to the over all card design which turned out kinda cool. It's hard to tell in the photo but I did add a touch of very light yellow glow to the lights which stands out nicely in person.

Alrighty then, time for me to scoot. TTYL!

Christmas Greetings...

Good morning!

So this weekend I was in the mood to do some serious scene building and I knew just the stamps that I wanted to play with. My recent order from Hello Bluebird has been sitting on my desk just waiting for me to ink them up so I grabbed the Yeti or Not set as well as the North Pole Littles set and got to it. I was inspired by the final scene in Santa's workshop from the old Rudolph show, where the abominable snowman comes and helps decorate the tree. So I grabbed my handy dandy masking tape and got to work. Once I had everyone stamped where I wanted them it was time to color. I started with the background because I knew it would take the most time and I didn't want to mess it up. I had a lot of fun playing with different textures and patterns, from the stone wall to the brick landing and the wood floor to the festive greenery. I really couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. The Littles are all so completely adorable and I think the mash up of them with Mr. Bumble is super cute! :)

Alrighty, thanks for stopping by today... I shall see you in 24!

Be a Rudolph...

Mornin' folks!

I've got another quick post to share one of the extra cards I made for the November release at The Greeting Farm. This deer is part of the All of Us set and when I saw it I thought it would be cool to do some repeat stamping and create Santa's entire team of reindeer including Rudolph. By combining this simple pattern with a fun sentiment you get a kinda modern, clean and simple vibe that really suits this stamp set. :)

Ok, it's time for this Rudolph to run... laters!

Merry and Bright...

TGIF everybody!

It's my turn to post at 7 Kids today and I've had this idea in my head using the cute Sledge Fun stamp from Dreamerland Crafts ever since I added it to my collection. This happy little tot just seems so filled with the joy and excitement of Christmas day that I wanted to create a special scene with him that embodied that emotion. So rather than just have the sled resting idly in the snow, I grabbed my Copics and sketched in the hand and leg of his papa pulling him through that winter wonderland. How do I know it is his dad you ask? Because if it was his mom that kiddo would be bundled up in a big ol' coat, LOL! ;)

Alrighty, well I hope your weekend is a crafty one. Stay warm my friends!

Merry Christmas...

Olo!

Today I've got pretty little Winifred from Mo's Digital Pencil gracing a clean and simple Christmas card. There is just something about these vintage looking cuties that really appeals to me, I love how it looks like she stepped right out of a Dickens novel and onto my card. LOL! So I made sure to find a fancy script sentiment to match her nostalgic vibe. And while I was going for a clean and simple winter background, the lighting in my photo blew out the colors a bit 'cause I swear there in BG10 in that sky! ;)

Alrighty, I've got a lot to cross off my to-do list today. Have a good one!

Holly jolly...

Good morning, good morning!

I am very excited to be guest designing for Pink and Main this month and my first card features one of their newest sets called, Timber. This set is full of quirky cute little lumberjacks and all of their accompanying paraphernalia. Being the time of year it is, I wanted to take my lumberjack in a decidedly North Pole direction. So I re-imagined this guy into a log rolling Santa spending one of his off days practicing for the Reindeer Games. I even used the deer head stamp from the Timber set to create an audience for ol' St. Nick. I don't know about you but they don't seem all that impressed, LOL!
I did most of my stamping in desert sand ink so that the no-line technique would create an illustrative look to the scene and when it came time to go through my frame dies I found this wood branch looking die and knew on the spot that it would be the perfect way to add even more interest to the over all design.  :)

Laters!

Dreaming of a white Chrstmas...

Hey there!

I've got a quick post for 7 Kids to share today. This pretty Pom Pom Gorjuss Girl was just begging to be made into a Christmas card this year. I did alter the original stamp just a bit by wiping away the three little flowers that decorate the frame before stamping since I didn't want flowers for this winter card. Other than that small change this image is ideal for coloring in a simple winter scene, heck... the fact that the stamped image already comes with its own fancy frame saved me from having to dig out a die to do the same job. I did my best to make the frame look silvery and metallic and I do like the contrast of it against the dark grey background. I think it really brings this pretty gal front and center. :)

Alrighty, gotta run... have a good one!

Good morning!

We are continuing on with the celebration of the Sweet November release today. There are more games and prizes as well as two more live coloring videos going on in the 7 Kids Customers Create group. There are no friends like Snow Friends...

Hello, hello!

Are you ready to bundle up and make the journey back to Sweet November for the December Snow Friends release at 7 Kids? The frozen inhabitants of this magical place are getting ready for a very special holiday season and they are joined by some of their favorite forest friends. These snow people and their Christmas critters want to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

The first snowman to cross our path in the neighborhood isMr. McFlurry. This guy us a bit of a nut and all the squirrels are happy to visit him for a chance to make off with a Christmas treat or two!
Down the street a ways we find Melton. Melton knows that the spirit of the season lies in our sharing and caring for others. So when this cold and hungry little bunny found him, of course Melton offered the warmth of his scarf and his very own carrot nose as a treat.
As we make our way into the wooded area just beyond town we find Freezia and her faithful flock of little birds. Freezia always seems to have some bird seed scattered about so that none of her feathered friends go hungry during the cold winter months.
And finally, deep in the woods resides Snowdin. Old Snowdin watches over the deer and other shy woodland critters all winter long. He may have cold hands but he has a warm heart and he loves all his furry friends great and small.

Friendship has its perks...

TGIF my friends!

More Greeting Farm catch up as I'm still prepping for the Sweet November digi release tomorrow. This card finds Brew It Anya with a couple of her coffee lovin' friends, Frappi Anya and Latte Anya. It's always very satisfying when I get my hands on a new stamp and it can breathe new life into my older collection as well. I like to imagine now that these gals are fully caffeinated they are ready to take on the world, LOL!

Alrighty folks, still so much to do before tomorrow... hope to see you then!
