Sweet September blog hop!

Hello everyone!

Welcome all to the "SWEET SEPTEMBER" blog hop featuring our Farmers, Team Anya, and our beloved Critter Crew! All three of our teams are joining forces today to bring you one sweet blog hop with The Greeting Farm!

Just to recap, the new releases, "Sweet and Toxic", "Oh, Boy" Ian, and Sweet Anya are now in the TGF Store! Also, three new Marina Neira critters are available as digital downloads for instant gratification! Woo hoo!

My card today uses the boy Creeper from the Sweet & Toxic set... isn't he an awesome little dude?! I accidentally cut off one of his wings when I was trimming him out but I remedied that situation by using some big rub-on wings behind him on the card. I think they work within the rock and roll-ish vibe I was going for with this one. ;)

Now be sure to stop by the TGF Blog if you are just beginning the hop and make it all the way to the CLUB ANYA & FRIENDS blog through the end to see the endless possibilities with this month's cute new additions to the Farm and to leave your comments along the way...there are some SWEET prizes to be had if you do!

Prizes? Did someone say PRIZES?
Yes indeed! To sweeten the deal today in celebration of these new releases, there will be individual prizes given out as well as one ENTIRE release to a lucky winner! Yep, that's a lot of prizes! Here's what's up for grabs:
1 winner will be chosen to win the SWEET & TOXIC SET
1 winner will be chosen to win the SWEET ANYA Stamp
1 winner will be chosen to win the OH, BOY IAN Stamp
1 winner will be chosen to win the THREE NEW CC DIGIS
and ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER will receive THE ENTIRE RELEASE for SEPTEMBER!!!
That's a LOT of chances to win! So go, hop, and be merry :)

Just a bit twisted...

Good morning!

Are you ready for some brand new Sweet November sneak peeks?
With the end of summer nearing and the days growing shorter the longer hours of night bring with them there own kind of magic in Sweet November land. You see, when the sun goes down and all of the Fairy Sweets have gone to bed, that is the time when the Twisted Sisters come out to play. These fairies love the night life and are all about being mysterious and fabulous in their own quirky kind of way. And even though each one is named after a poisonous flower these batty winged little fairies wouldn't hurt a fly.

First up this week is miss Oleander. Some of you may remember an earlier version of her that I shared a couple months back and now she is finally here to make her official debut! Oleander has the appearance of being quiet and contemplative but behind that innocent look she is working out a scheme to get the resident hoot owls to take her for a joy ride on the night of the full moon... there's just nothing like soaring high through a star filled sky with the crisp air blowing through your hair. ;)

And what is a preview without a chance to win some candy? Wanna see what is up for grabs?
Oleander's candy kit includes: one Sweet November Twisted Sister Oleander rubber stamp, ten double sided 6x6 sheets of K&Co Amy Butler paper, one small Inkadinkado Halloween clear stamp set, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbons, buttons, Creative Imaginations butterfly gem brad, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
Now all you have to do for a chance to win this candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to this candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :)
The candies will stay open through Sunday, September 5th and I will announce the randomly generated winners on Monday, September 6th. Which just so happens to be the official release date for all of September's new stamps over at ATS!
Okey dokey, that's all I've got for today but please be sure to hop on over to all the SN Gals' blogs;
and our special guest gal, Rinne to see all sorts of Oleander loveliness!
Then come back tomorrow for day two of our Twisted Sister sneaks! :)

Sweet November spotlight on Rinne!

Hello and good morning!

Well here we are nearing the beginning of a brand new month and that means Sweet November Stamps previews are about to begin! It also means that I've got September's SN guest gal to introduce you to before we dive into all those wonderful candies! ;)

Now without further ado please let me introduce you to the one and only Corinne Mercado! Rinne is another long time Sweet November cheerio who has always been enthusiastic and excited about the stamps. I consider her to be the queen of texture with an eclectic and artistic eye for mixing papers and different materials on her cards. With and unexpected and whimsical style that always surprises and delights, I just love to see what she creates next. :)

Ok, time for my favorite part of the spotlight... the crazy, fun SN questionnaire!

1) What color do you feel represents your personality and why?
Right now, I feel that orange represents my personality. I have a bit of a temper but just like orange also has cool undertones, I too have a laid back side. I also think of orange as a color that depicts being unique and sort of an underdog. You know, the colors that the "different" kids would pick back in high school. People gave me a weird look when I said my wedding colors would be pink, green, and ORANGE? It turned out bright, unique and fun!

2) Is your style of dress/ home decor similar to your style of card making?
I think so. I am very detail-oriented. I like to accessorize, I wear different earrings or necklaces and like to have cool rugs/ pictures on the walls. My style of card making is pretty much the same, most of the time, I love layering different textures, embellishments and patterned papers!

3) What one thing always puts you in a good mood?
Crafting, of course!

4) If you could visit any time in history when would it be?
I would love to visit the early 1900s to 1930s. I would like to see how my grandparents and family lived back then. I am very curious to also see how my native land, the Philippines, looked.

5) If you were a mythical creature ie. fairy, elf, mermaid, troll etc., what kind would you be and why?
I would love to be a fairy. I adore those thin, intricate wings. Plus, I'd get to fly everywhere and have a sparkling trail! I would also love to be a mermaid. They are so beautiful and mystical. And one of the things to do on my bucket list is to swim with humpback whales. :)

Bonus question

6) If you are a fellow Gleek, which character from McKinley High do you most identify with?
I definitely identify with Rachel. She is driven, determined and full of dreams. She is dorky just like me, but is not ashamed of it! I also admire her passion.

Hey Rinne, have you seen the Glee promos yet? It looks like Rachel is even stealing your hair-do this season with her new bangs! ;)

Now it's time to share Rinne's beautiful card and how it inspired mine for today. First and foremost her fab undersea theme featuring Fathom Calmsea had me reaching for a mermaid as well. Her cool use of the mesh as netting is brilliant and got me to dig through my stash until I found some too. Finally I loved the look of the dangling tag along with the twine so I had to add that to my design as well. I didn't have any seashell to add so instead of a rough textural embellishment I decided to go with smooth Raindrops for my bit of dimension and texture.

Rinne will be joining Traci, Rachel and myself in the September Sweet November sneak peeks starting tomorrow! Things are going to get a bit twisty this week... well, as twisty as anything in Sweet November Land can be anyway, LOL! ;) Supply list:

The song in my heart

Hi all!

My card isn't exactly a simple Sunday card but once I got home from work I really needed to unwind and I had time to just relax and color so I did. I recently came across these Pergamano Fairies whilst blog surfing and are you surprised to hear that I couldn't resist getting my hands on a few? They finally arrived this past week and I loved coloring this little cutie up. And to make it even better I had some new Cosmo Cricket Pixielicious papers to pair up and pull my colors from... yum! Of course there is a lot of sparkle also added to the scene but for the life of me I just can't get it to show up in my pics, you'll just have to take my word for it that she sparkles quite a bit in person. :)
I'm also entering this into the Flutter By challenge which is open this week... how perfect is that?!

Ok, thanks so much for stopping by today... and be sure to come back Monday when I'll be gearing up to kick off a full week of sneak peeks and candy goodness!

It's all about the hair...

Hey there friends!

Are you doing a double take? No your eyes are not deceiving you... there is a brand new Creeper gal on the Farm! I gotta admit that she is my new fave Creeper and she is actually part of the Sweet & Toxic 4x6 set where she comes accompanied by the very first Creeper dude to see rubber! Now, the Farmers over at the TGF blog are the ones doing the official preview today so be sure to skip on over and check out all of their fab cards using this new set!

Even though I'm not part of the official preview today, I just had to use her because she is the perfect tie in to the big announcement that I have to share with y'all. :)

So I've been asked if I would share how I color hair with my Copic markers and I'm excited to say that my very first video tutorial is now up over on the Color Me Copic blog! For my first time out I have gone with a curly hair tutorial that I hope you all enjoy. Seriously, I have never done anything like this before so it may be a bit rough around the edges and I swear I don't usually talk like Bob Ross in my everyday life either, LOL! But at the very least you will see my process and if you like it there is a 'feathered straight hair' tutorial following shortly. ;)

I can't wait to see what you gals think and if there is anything else you are interested in seeing me do a video of just let me know here and I will do my best to put something together.

But the fun doesn't end there! There is also a new CMC challenge to go along with the video that is being sponsored by Sweet November Stamps! Surprise, surprise it is a 'coloring curly hair' challenge and the winner will get one of the new SNS September release stamps! I really can't wait to see what you all do! :)

Life is just a bowl of cherries

Hey there!

The Lil Lolita Boutique has a brand new challenge up and this week it is all about the sketch. It's a nice and easy one too which I always love. ;)
And yes, I've used a digi so I can play with the 'big head' size... again... I swear this is the last one for a bit, LOL! Now I've had this scrap of cherry paper for years, I can't even remember who made it, but I've been holding onto it for the perfect image and card and this original Ivy fit the bill. All of the colors I used on her were pulled from the paper itself and those sweet cherries... yum! But I have a bit of a confession to make, I've never been quite clear on what the 'life is just a bowl of cherries' really means. Is it like an older more classic version of 'life is like a box of chocolates' and instead of possibly getting peanuts or toffee filling you get pits and worms? If so I think I'll stick with the chocolates, LOL! :)

Heeheehee... anywho... now it is time for all of you fellow Lil Lolita lovers to get sketchy and play along for the chance of winning a fun prize from the Tickled Pink store! You say you still haven't gotten your hands on these cuties yet? Well if you are in the states you can get your Lolitas at the All That Scraps store now. Coolio!

Have fun!

Crinkley wrinkley ribbon

Hello, hello!

It's time once again for a new Wednesday challenge over at ATS! This week it is all about crinkled ribbon. Now, there is a whole tutorial on how to dye seam binding and crinkle it while it dries but to be perfectly honest that is just WAY too much work for me, LOL!
Luckily I store my ribbon in individual jars sorted by color and some of those jars are pretty jam packed so the ribbon is always wrinkley when I pull it out to use it. Normally I would take a little ribbon iron to it before putting it on my card to smooth it back out but this time I glued on that ribbon just as it was... all crinkley wrinkley! I gotta say, I think it fills the challenge requirements just fine! ;)

So because I was using this pretty pink ribbon I thought it was about time to let Darby show off her girly and pink side for this card. I think even a tomboy can enjoy some pink from time to time and Bumbles seems to agree!

Ok, so whether you dye some of your own or go the lazy way like me, heeheehee, we want to see your crinkled ribbon! Remember, every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

Toodles!

Another quick one

Morning!

So yesterday turned out to be a pretty busy day, which unfortunately didn't give me much time to craft. Luckily when I sat down to unwind I had one more new Pure Innocence sweetie just waiting to be brought to life. Cute and quick to color... what's not to love about these little girlies? ;)

I also wanted to play along in the recipe challenge over at Flutter By this week which is, 1 part sparkle, 2 parts designer paper and 3 parts buttons or gems. So I added one glittery butterfly to my two pieces of Cosmo Cricket paper and finished the simple design off with three coordinating buttons. Voila! :)

Okey dokey, time to go get ready for work... talk at ya later! :) Supply list:

Yee-haw!

Howdy folks!

It's Monday morning and that means I've got a Monday Mania challenge card to share. This week the cutie patootie miss Jenny V. is hosting and she wants everyone to 'make a scene' with their cards. :)
When Jenny filled me in on the theme of her challenge I knew exactly what I wanted to do. You see, I've had this sheet of Creative Imaginations paper for at least a year and I always thought that it would be fun to pair with Wild West Anya, but I just never got around to actually putting the two together. So no more excuses, it was finally time to cut into that paper and get it on a card! To give the scene a bit of depth I glued the covered wagon strip right on the card and then I fussy cut the cactus and prairie dog strip and pop dotted it above the wagons along with Anya. I did also alter Anya up just a bit by wiping away her open mouth with a baby wipe before stamping then drew in her new cocky little smirk... I wonder if she is thinking about ropin' that prairie dog? Wrong kind of doggie Anya! LOL ;)

Aren't scene cards so much fun to make? I love telling stories with my stamps! And we hope to see you all join the fun this week as it will be the last Monday Mania over at CA&Friends. Yep, Jess is changing up the format and a new Mystery Monday challenge will be starting up before ya know it!

Alrighty, happy trails pardners. :) Supply list:

Simple Sunday returns

Good Sunday morning to ya!

It's been awhile since I've had a Simple Sunday card to share but today I'm bringing it back baby! ;)
I've been eyeing this Cart Full of Friends stamp for a couple months now and ATS just got them in last week and I had to place an order. So when my brand new Pure Innocence stamp arrived in the mail from ATS yesterday I couldn't stop myself from inking her right up! Oh and I did tweak the image just a bit by drawing in some knee high socks on her.
As you can probably tell, the majority of my 'simple' 30 minute time allotment went into coloring the scene. Once I had that done the rest of the card flew together in under four minutes... love that! :)

All in all I think this one came out simply sweet for a simple Sunday. ;)

Smooches!

Some Sweet news!

Hello!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend thus far! :)

Today I've got some extra special Sweet November news to share so I'm just gonna jump right into it... the fabulous miss Rachel is joining the magical miss Traci as a full-time SN Gal! I'm thrilled to have Rach coming back to play with all of the characters of Sweet November Land on a monthly basis! Not only will she be creating amazing cards for the releases but the ever-so-wonderful and technologically advanced Rach has also made a new Sweet November Facebook page that she will be overseeing! Yep, she was determined to finally pull me and SN into the 21st century despite my sad reliance on a dial-up internet connection (hey, rural living has its drawbacks) and I am loving everything that she has done. On the SN page you'll be able to view the newest releases, see card samples from both myself and all my peeps and maybe even a sneak peek every now and then... wink, wink! And if you are on Facebook we would love to see you upload your own SN creations too! How's that for some serious 21st century networking? Shhhhhh... just don't tell Rach that I'm still sans cellphone and managing just fine, LOL! ;)

In honor of our big Facebook announcement I just had to use a digi version of Pearl Tidepool so I could blow it up and have a big, beautiful face gracing today's card. I decided to keep all of the drama on the image itself with her fun pink hair and bright blue eyes and kept the card base pretty soft and muted. Though I gotta say that I have been saving this cool scrap of paper for years and finally had an idea worthy of putting it to use... so proud of myself, LOL!
And check out who just had to over see my picture taking process... looks like Oreo has given this card his seal of approval too. ;)
Thanks for stopping by!

Boy oh boy!

Good morning!

I've got some big plans today so I'm afraid I've got to post and run. :)

This is just a quick card for a little boy's birthday and I altered Awesome Duo Ian for it. I gotta say that I really enjoy the smaller, or should I call them "fun size", Anyas and Ians. He was the perfect fit for this standard A2 size card while still leaving plenty of room for my sentiment and all those goodies. ;)

Ok, well I hope you all have as much fun this weekend as I plan to! Later gators!

Oooooo... witchy woman...

Hello, hello!

The Lil Lolita challenge this week is all about roses and flowers... and sure I could have gone with a veritable garden of bright and pretty roses but there was just something about Kellita that was leading me down a different path for my card. A dark and twisty kinda Halloweeny path... LOL! :)
The last time I was coloring a "big head" Kellita her clothes got me to thinking that if I colored them right she could look a bit witchy. So that is exactly what I did. Well that, and draw a hat to complete her magical ensemble. ;)

Once Kellita had made her 'wicked' transformation it was time for her to get a garden fit for All Hallow's Eve so I mixed some black ribbon roses with the little orange roses. Pretty? Pretty spooky! LOL!

Okey dokey, now it is time for you to pull out a Lil Lolita stamp or digi (hey US girls... did you know that you can order Lil Lolitas from All That Scraps now?) and play along in the challenge! Every week Kellie has a fab prize up for grabs from the Tickled Pink store that you won't want to miss out on the chance of winning! :)

Have a grape day

Happy hump day! Hope the week is treating you well so far. :)

Wednesday brings with it a whole new challenge over at ATS and this week we are getting fruity! Yep, the theme is fruit and all you have to do to play along is add a bit of nature's sweet goodness somewhere in the design of your card. I went the easy route and used Fruit of the Month Grape Fairy as the main focus. After that all I added was a little grape charm and my card was done!

If you would like to play along for an exciting prize, just remember that in order to be eligible to win, your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please! :)

Later gators!

Nerdy Bird

Hola amigas!

My blogging buddy Berenice has taken on a whole new adventure by starting up her very own digi stamp store called Karber Digital Images! These sweet digis have a totally kawaii look to them and little Thinker Leslie, with her cute pigtails and glasses, was a lot of fun to color up. :)
As soon as I printed Leslie off she brought to mind this great Nerdy Bird paper from Sassafras... I think the pairing is a match made in heaven, LOL! I even cut up the cover of the paper pad to get the "nerdy bird" for my sentiment. And as an added bonus, because of that cute little bespeckled birdie friend of Leslie's I can join in with this week's Pet themed challenge over at Lollipop Crafts... love it when that happens!

Alrighty, I've got to go get ready for work... thanks so much for stopping by today! :)
