Somebunny sweet...

TGIF to all of my Easter celebrating peeps!

The big weekend is upon us and I can't wait for that yummy ham dinner with my family on Sunday. Even though we don't have anyone hunting for eggs anymore I still look forward to enjoying eggs in all their forms, whether they be deviled, chocolate or candy coated... LOL! For my final Easter card this year I really wanted to ink up this darling Somebunny Sweet Pure Innocence that I got recently. And because it has been ages since I've played along in the MFT sketch challenge I took a look to see if I could make it work with the cutie I had just colored up and it did. The pastoral background that I colored in was totally inspired by the amazing Jane Allen, who is one of my personal coloring super heroes. All in all I think this card came together in a cute CAS way that makes me quite happy. :)

Easter blessings to you all!

Happy Easter...

Hey there!

I figured I had better get this card that I made for the March TGF release featuring the Enjoy set up here on the ol' blog before Easter Sunday. For this festive scene I paired the sweet chocolate bunny with decorated eggs and a sentiment from the Eggstra Special set. He's got a whole field behind him to find just the right spot to go hide them before the kids arrive with their Easter baskets. In the foreground I added some cute polka dot flowers for some extra cheer. :)

Ok then, I'll see ya in 24!

Hello sunshine...

Olo!

For as much as I love the Tiny Townie Garden Girls from Stamping Bella, I haven't gotten near enough of them on cards yet. So I figured using Garden Girl Daffodil on a fun and cheery Easter card would help get another one checked off my stamping goals list. I stamped her in Memento desert sand and masked her off before also adding a bunch of daffodils from an old Penny Black set that I stamped repeatedly behind her. Once I had Daffodil and the flowers all colored up I extended them further into the distance by scribbling in lighter yellows and greens which gives the illusion of a vast field of happy Daffodils bobbing gently in the spring breeze. With all this floral fun going on how can I not enter this card into the current "beautiful blooms" challenge over on the Stamping Bella Facebook page? ;)

Happy Easter...

Hey there!

I'm back with another card creation that I've made for the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page. With Easter less than a week away I really wanted to get these new bunnies from the Mama Elephant Hippity Hop set inked up. I thought it would be super cute to pair them up with this oversized Happy Easter sentiment from Impression Obsession and have them interact with it by doing simple masking of some of the bunnies and a few of the letters as well. This gives the impression that there are bunnies frolicking both in front of and behind the large letters. And because I stamped the sentiment with a light pink ink, not only is it pretty but it allowed me to do no-line coloring on the flowers that decorate it as well... win/win!

Ok then, there is still plenty of time to create something for our "sequins" themed challenge and as always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs!

Some bunny loves you...

Good morning!

Ok, I couldn't help myself and I've got another Easter card using a Whimsy stamp to share today. This time I did some no-line coloring on the adorable Hungry Bunny stamp. He's so soft and squishy looking that I just want to hug and squeeze him. Looking at all those carrots he's accumulated I wanted to color in the scene of the crime, so to speak. So I added garden dirt complete with empty holes that he has plucked the veggies from. Hopefully the farmer doesn't come along an catch this cutie stealing his crop. ;)
Once again I am going to enter this into the current "anything goes" challenge over at Whimsy Stamps

Believe in the bunny...

TGIF!

I'm wrapping up this week's card creations with a whimsical Easter card featuring the new Fairy and Her Bunny stamp. I know I've said it before but I love, love, love these fairies! And even though it isn't a traditional Easter image I figured that she could be hanging out with that elusive Easter bunny. Because they are both sitting on a branch I was inspired to sketch in a tree for it to be attached to as well as a spring vista in the background. Then all I needed was the perfect sentiment to pull my vision all together. I'm going to enter this into the current "anything goes" challenge over at Whimsy Stamps so wish me luck! :)

Have a fun weekend my friends!

Believe in your selfie...

Hello friends!

It's my turn to post over on The Greeting Farm blog and today I am sharing a positive and encouraging card that all of us can use and relate to from time to time. Text Me Anya, with her phone in hand, was the perfect girl to spread such self confidence and can-do spirit. There were a couple things from my crafty stash that I really wanted to pair up with Text Me and that was these fab Girl Squad papers from Pebbles, which included this smart phone print, as well as this fun sentiment stamp. Because that sentiment referenced taking a selfie I used my Copic markers to quickly sketch in a tiny version of Text Me Anya's face right on her phone screen. She may not have gotten her whole face in the shot but Anya is proud of who she is nonetheless. I pulled all the colors for her outfit from the striped paper and even colored and cut out an extra smart phone from the paper to accent and embellish the card. The end result is a clean and simple card design ready to send a little encouragement someone's way.  :)

Happy Easter...

Olo!

Can you believe it is already time for a new challenge over on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page? The theme this time around is to use "sequins" and for me that meant putting together a fun shaker card. With Easter right around the corner I decided to ink up this yummy Bunny Cupcake stamp by Impression Obsession because it would be perfect in my shaker. I used the no-line coloring technique and even added Glossy Accents to the jelly beans to give them a shiny, smooth appearance. Then I masked it off and sponged on a pretty pastel background using the Squeezed Lemonade and Shaded Lilac oxide Distress Inks. I'll be honest, I resisted getting the oxides for a long time because I already have the original Distress Inks but these oxides go on so smooth... love 'em!

Now it's your turn to create something for our "sequins" themed challenge. As always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs and Kelly is adding fab new goodies every day!

A fairy happy day...

Hello again!

I've got another card to share from last week's TGF release and it is going back to the Fairy Happy set. There is so much you can do with these tiny fairies but this little one with her back turned really caught my eye and I knew that she could carry a whole card design all on her own. So I perched her atop the sentiment that is included in the Fairy Happy set and masked a large circle behind her before inking the sky to create that large moon shining down. Next I grabbed the mushrooms from the Little Fairies set to help ground the sentiment and added strong shadows to sell the idea of moonlight streaming past them. I love the quiet and still mood that I ended up with. :)

Later gators!

Enjoy...

Good morning!

I've got a quick card to share before rushing out the door this morning. I made this one for the Greeting Farm release last week and it features another one of the fun bunnies from the Enjoy set. As soon as I got the set this little gal looked like she was hopping along to me so I grabbed the Magical Friends set that has the hopping dots in it and added the motion to this simple scene. I also masked in that piece of carrot cake that she is carrying, I'm not quite sure if she is taking it to share with someone special or if she is running away to keep it all to herself. Either way she looks quite pleased with herself, LOL! ;)

Ok folks, gotta run... I'll talk at'cha later!

Hang in there...

TGIF!

Once again it is my turn to share some inspiration on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page. This week I chose to ink up another cutie from Dreamerland Crafts called, Swinging Tire Fun. There isn't much that says nice weather has returned more than spending time swinging under a shady tree. This stamp was absolutely screaming for a scene considering the alternative would have left her swing just floating in space. It was a great excuse to practice my trees 'cause I still haven't mastered those quite yet. While I was coloring her up I had no idea what the sentiment would be and it wasn't until I had the scene complete that I was flipping through my sentiment binder and I came across the perfect saying. I love how it turns this sweet Swinging Tire Fun girl into an encouraging ambassador of happiness. :)

Ok then, there is still a week left to create something for our "anything goes" themed challenge and as always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs. There is also a special St. Paddy's Day sale going on now and all you have to do is type in LUCKYME at check out for 27% off your entire purchase!

Hi there and thanks for joining us on the hop. For my card today I really wanted to play with these tiny fairies from the Fairy Happy and Fairy Garden sets once more. This time around I envisioned them frolicking among a blooming flower garden so I grabbed the His Love and In Christ I Am stamp sets because the florals in both of those are just fantastic. It took some time masking in all those fairies but in the end it was so worth it. As I started adding color to the fairies and the flowers the card really came to life and turned out even better than I had imagined it. Now I want to plant some wildflowers in my yard in hopes that I might find a little magic added to my daily life as well. ;)

Thanks for dropping by and have fun hopping!

You rock...

Are you ready to rock?!

Here we are at the third and final day of March previews for The Greeting Farm and this super star is ready to steal the show. It's always exciting to have a new Anya join the TGF family and Rockstar Anya 2 is going to knock your socks off! I mean seriously, this girl has attitude and confidence to spare. Right away I knew that I wanted my card to have a lot of energy and bright, happy colors. The best way I could think to do that was grab this fun strobe stencil and sponge on some neon ink behind her, which really put this Rockstar in the spot light! I tried to make her outfit look like it is made of sparkly gold sequins and I'm pretty pleased with the end result. I also used the same technique when I colored in the sentiment as well. And of course I had to grab the gold glitter enamel dots to finish off the card because this rocker sparkles and shines!

Alrighty, you know what to do...  head on over to the TGF blog for even more Rockstar Anya 2 fabness from the Farmers. And don't forget that the entire release will be available for purchase on the 15th along with a blog hop for a chance to win all four new stamp sets!  :)

Look what's sprouting up...

Hello, hello!

Are you ready for day two of the March Greeting Farm release previews? Today we have another small clear set to share called, Enjoy. These four happy bunnies are arriving just in time for Easter but they are so much more than just holiday stamps. My card today features the two bunnies who are holding some yummy veggies and stamped them in Desert Sand ink for some no-line coloring to create a cheery garden scene. Taking my cues from the carrot and leaf of lettuce I used my Copics to sketch in not just the veg but the fence, flowers and sky behind them as well. These cuties may look innocent enough but they love raiding the farmer's garden. ;)

There is plenty more Enjoy inspirational cuteness to be had over on the TGF blog. I promise you won't want to miss all of the fabulous creations my fellow Farmers have made!

A magical bday...

Hello there!

Today is day 1 of the March stamp release from The Greeting Farm... woot, woot! We have four fantastic clear sets coming out this month and I just gotta say... they are ah-mazing! Take a peek at the first two coordinating sets that we are previewing, Fairy Happy and Fairy Garden, both of which will be available for purchase on the 15th. I have officially fallen head over heels for these tiny little fairies and their terra cotta pot home. I seriously couldn't stop making cards with them they are SO much fun. The Fairy Garden set comes with one tiny fairy and I stamped her down in the bottom right corner, then I added a bunch of her friends from the Fairy Happy set to really get this magical party started. I even grabbed an old bottle of Stickles to add a sprinkling of fairy dust below each fairy and it makes the card sparkle nicely when you see it in person.   :)

Now be sure to head on over to the TGF blog to see the fairy magical cards from my fellow Farmers using the new Fairy Happy and Fairy Garden sets and I shall see you back here tomorrow with more sneak peek fun!

Smile...

TGIF!

I had the day off yesterday so I was able to spend some quality time in my crafty room having fun. I really wanted to color up Lula again and this time make her nice and big so it would be her cuteness carrying the card design. I also changed things up by not coloring in a background and instead returned to my first love... pretty pattern paper. Not only that but I also had fun mixing and matching a handful of dies to bring this all together. It kinda feels like a blast from my crafty past and it couldn't make me happier. :)

Well, stay crafty my friends and I will see ya on Monday!

It's a beautiful day...

Hello crafty friends!

I was out on the town yesterday so I didn't have time to make a card, luckily for me I've had this one waiting in the wings since this past September. It's actually the card I made to try out for the current Greeting Farm team and I was able to use four different stamp sets on this one card and create a happy little neighborhood scene for these two cuties. The kiddos are from the Mega Mini Lift Off set and I like that even though they were drawn to have balloon strings in their hands it also looks like they are waving hello. The Main Street set is perfect for building a quaint place to call home and the hot air balloons from the Up set added a fun touch to make me smile. And the Hello & Smile sentiment pulled the whole design together.  :)

Talk at'cha later!
