Happy 3rd Birthday...

Howdy folks!

I've got one more card to share before the month ends using stamps from the recent Hello Bluebird release. These cute critters are part of the Oh Happy Day stamp set and they coordinate with the new By the Numbers dies to perfectly customize a birthday card for someone special. As you can see, this card was made for a third birthday, which even influenced my choice of only adding three animals to the celebration. I kept the scene very simple with bright and cheery colors then framed it in using just the outer frame of the Rainbow Square die, which made the dimensions on this a large 5.5"x5.5"... nice and big for little hands to hold. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Got candy...

Hello, hello!

I'm back on the TGF blog once again with a new card mixing one of the little witchy Beans from the Hocus Pocus kit with various digital stamp sets from the TGF store. This is definitely a different take on a Halloween card but I got the idea a few nights ago when I settled in for an evening watching scary movies on the TV. I thought, how fun would it be to capture a cute couple doing the same thing on a card. So when I was ready to get crafty, I got onto my computer and started to make my idea come to life. First, I grabbed the Movie Night digital set with the large flat screen TV and the back of the sofa. I then arranged the Backs 1 couple into their seats before building the scene taking place on the screen in front of them. Because I knew that the witchy Bean would be popping into the scene on the right hand side of the TV, I built the spooky landscape over on the left. This consisted of the haunted house, moon, bats and jack o'lantern from the Halloween Nite digi set. The sentiment is from the Hallo Sentiments digi set and I chose it because it also reads like a tag line on a commercial.

Once I had my digital scene printed out, I masked off the edges of the TV and stamped this excitable little witchy Bean into the empty space I had left on the right side... it was a perfect fit. And once the masks were removed the cropping made her totally look like part of the scene, the spooky cute spokesperson for this fun Halloween candy commercial that is interrupting date night, LOL! As always, I colored up the scene using Copic markers and made sure that witchy Bean was the brightest thing in the entire room so that our eyes are drawn right to her first. She is the star of the show after all.  ;)

Stay crafty my friends!

New Anita Jeram Cinderella release at CCC!

Hello and welcome!

There is a brand new Anita Jeram release available today at Colorado Craft Company, with three Big and Bold stamp sets that all center around the classic Cinderella fairy tale! The focus of all three sets centers around the scene where Cinderella has her wish granted by her Fairy Godmother and the twist... both Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother are Anita Jeram's adorable mice characters.  What's not to love about that?! So I'm sure you will want to participate in today's blog hop for a chance to win one of the new sets at each stop on the hop. All you have to do is leave a comment on each blog or Instagram account to be entered into the drawing, so the more blogs you comment on the more chances you'll have to win. Also, one winner that makes a purchase using one of the below designers affiliate links from visiting their blog will receive the entire release. This will run through September 1st at midnight MST time and all the winners will be announced on the 3C blog. Here's a list of all the designers you'll want to check out:

Of course my first card had to use the Magic Time set, where Cinderella first encounters her Fairy Godmother in the pumpkin patch. Because the stamps on these 6x6 sets are much larger than the regular Anita Jeram sets I upped my card base size to a 5x7. This gave me enough room to capture the night scene, complete with the chateau, windows darkened because the stepmother and stepsisters are already on their way to the ball. While outside, Cinderella is just about to have her entire life transformed... if she simply trusts the magic. :)

Alrighty then, I won't keep you any longer. Enjoy the hop and good luck!

Hey there, pumpkin...

Good morning!

Yesterday was review preview day at Sweet November Stamps as we prepare for the next clear stamp release coming to the shop next weekend. As part of the review I did a Live coloring video that combined Gnome Gnorah from the Gneal and Gnorah set with just the pumpkins from the Carve Out Some Fun set and the Horizon Lines: Spring stamp in the background. She looks so cute bringing in her bumper crop of pumpkins, don't you think?

We also sent out the August newsletter last night and as always we included a brand new digital stamp that is free to all of our newsletter subscribers. This little sweetie is Fall Fairy Pomona and she is busy harvesting her special crab apples that she makes cider with. Non newsletter subscribers can purchase her in the store too but who doesn't love a freebie? If you aren't signed up yet just go to Sweet November Stamps and scroll to the bottom of the home page to fill out the information box. Then you will be all set to receive the free digi in September.  :)

Alrighty, time for me to scoot. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Autumn Blessings...

Hey there!

Sweet November Stamps is gearing up for the next clear release that is coming to the store next weekend. It's actually our first Fall themed release so we only have one Fall themed stamp set, the Falling Into Fairwees, already in the store. We still wanted to do a fun review this weekend so we challenged the design team to take any clear sets in the store and make them work for a Fall card. Because I knew I would also be previewing the new Simple Room Fall Add-on set with its window stamps and pie, I thought it would be cute to grab a couple of the kiddos from the Santa Claus is Coming to Town set and have them peeking in from the outside. I also added some trees from the Horizon Lines: Alpine set behind them. The interior of the house was created using the Simple Room Background Builder. Once again, I just have to say how much I love mixing and matching new and old stamps to broaden their range.

If you are interested, you can watch this card come together in a couple videos. There is the full length speed coloring on the Sweet November Stamps Youtube channel as well as a shorter Reel that can be seen on my Instagram at amyyoungforever.

Now be sure to head on over to the Friends of Sweet November Stamps Facebook page and check out all of the creative Fall cuteness from not only the Sweet November design team but the Crafty Purple Frog ladies are joining in the fun as well!  :)
