As sweet as can be...

TGIF everybody! It's April 1st but we aren't playing an April Fools joke... nope, today is all about a brand new Farm Fresh Challenge at The Greeting Farm! As you know, a new challenge is issued at the beginning of every month over on the TGF blog and this time around it is...  'Bloom Where You Are Planted'. So whether you grab some floral print paper, add flower embellies to your card, or ink up a character with some kind of flower on it from the TGF store you could win a $50 gift certificate!

For my card I printed out the sweet Dressy Ebony digi. I'm such a huge fan of the Wild Sprout characters with their spunky attitudes. I colored Ebony up to match this colorful floral print paper that I found in my scrap stash because it had the right energy to match her spunky spirit. And I didn't stop there, three pretty flowers were also added for extra bloomin' beauty. ;)

Alrighty friends, have fun with this one. I can't wait to see what you create!

Hi-dee-ho!

I've got something a little different to share today. There is still Copic coloring to be found on this card but not a single cute character stamp is in sight. Instead I recently got this fun cupcake set from Papertrey Ink and really wanted to make a simple but fun birthday card using one of the yummy little cakes. This one with its heap of frosting totally spoke to me and how can you go wrong with some chocolate on chocolate action? Mmmm... my mouth is watering just thinking about it, LOL! For the bit of background I masked off the cupcake and stamped some splotches in three different colors using the Distressed Patterns set from MFT. Then I just added a sprinkling of sequins in matching colors to finish off the card. I had a great time changing things up and stretching my creativity just a bit. :)

Talk at'cha later!

Wonderful self...

Hey there!

It was time to make a get well card and with the recent introduction of the DR and RN digis over at The Greeting Farm I had the perfect characters to choose from. I ended up choosing DR Ian and I think I was channeling McSteamy from Grey's Anatomy as I colored up this dapper doc... he's certainly got the McSteamy hair, LOL! I kept the card design super CAS and even hand cut my own heart monitor zig zaggy line for a simple background embellishment. Hopefully little McSteamy here will help put a much needed smile on a face that really needs it.  :)

Thanks for stopping by today my friends!

Give me some sugar...

Hello friends!

After inking up Darling Anya for yesterday's card I decided to go ahead and ink up the Super Secret Stamp Club stamp from January so that I'll have gotten all of this year's stamps on cards before April's arrives in a couple weeks. I'm making it a goal to stay on top of things like this because I don't want to leave any of my stamps un-inked for too long. This cutie sippin' on her Slurpee is Carnival Anya and she originally comes with a little bowler hat sitting high on her head but I decided to wipe it away before stamping and filling in the missing black lines with a Copic multi-liner pen. I knew I had the perfect paper when I found this colorful bubble print in my stash but the card really came together when I came across this fun sentiment stamp. Anyone else use 'gimme some sugar' as a request for a kiss or some lovin'? Yea, so I'm really diggin' how it becomes a cheeky play off Anya's sweet drink into a love you kind of card. If you haven't figured it out yet, I don't take myself too seriously especially when it comes to my crafting.  ;)

Later gators!

Hello...

Good morning!

I just couldn't wait any longer to get March's Secret Stamp Club stamp onto a card. She's called Darling Anya and she truly lives up to her name if you ask me... SO adorable! I guess I was still taking a cue from last week's Anya Salon because I reached for my cool grey Copics to do her hair. And it didn't stop there, once I found this great chalkboard paper pad from My Mind's Eye I knew there would be a lot more black in my card design. Since pink always looks smashing with black and white I grabbed a couple scraps of really light pink to add a sweet, feminine touch. A few flowers and a couple butterflies was all it took from there to pull the whole design together. I think Darling looks right at home here. :)

Have a great Monday everybody!

Happy Easter!

I told you I was filling up this weekend with some special Easter posts because the holiday totally snuck up on me this year. Hope your Easter Sunday is extra sweet! :)

Easter blessings...

TGIF!

I'm continuing to make up for lost time with another Easter card today. This one features a sweet digi from A Day For Daisies called Bunnies in my Yard. As soon as I saw this darling girl I thought she would be perfect to color a fun background for. I had such a good time playing around with this technique on my St. Patrick's Day card that I've been wanting to try it out again. This time I even added some pink blossoming trees in the distance for a little extra dreaminess. And that is it, no need for pretty papers or fancy embellishments... just my Copics and a couple stamps was all it took to make a pretty Easter card. :)

Ok, time for me to get ready for the day. I'll actually be back again tomorrow with another Easter card so see ya then!

Easter's on its way...

Good morning!

Umm... can I just say that I'm not a fan of Easter landing in March like it is this year. Seriously, I can't believe it is already this weekend! I haven't made many Easter cards this year so I wanted to make sure I at least got a couple in before the big day. For today's card I inked up Peeker Pixie from Sister Stamps because I just adore this sweet bunny. I paired her up with a panel from the new Doodlebug Bunnyville papers which makes for a quick and easy, but still super cute, card. Sadly when I was linking Pixie up for this post I read the sad news that Sister Stamps has closed down as of the end of 2015. I will really miss their wonderful stamps, especially since I was so hopeful for some kitty peekers.  :(
I guess I will just have to be happy with the lovely collection of Sister Stamps that I already have. Thank you Sister Stamps... you will be missed so much!

 Toodles!

Grandma is number one...

Hey there!

I've got another Anya's Salon post over on The Greeting Farm blog today. This time around Anya is contemplating some striking black haired hues. And she isn't alone... I paired Black Haired Anya with a sneak peek of one of the new Mega-Mini Amazing Anyas. Today is the last day to pre-order all three of the mini sets as well as their matching dies for a special discounted price! The mega-minis are only 1.5" tall so you can see that the size difference between them and regular Anyas gives you the perfect opportunity to pair them up in an adorable parental relationship. I chose to make it a grandma/grandchild duo for my card since I had some great, grey hair combos to choose from. So Grandma Anya, with a body borrowed from Dress Me Anya, got the Snow White 'do and Mini is done up in the Coal Dust combo. Now this sweet pair is ready to spend a special day out together, just the two of them.  :)

Ok then, thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy day...

Hey there!

Well, here's the last of the three cards that I made for the special Miss Anya Spring set release. Our final dance attendee has donned her prom dress and she is ready to have a magical night. Doesn't she look like the life of the party in her flouncy fun ensemble? I'm sure she's the head cheerleader, prominent member of the Glee club and heads up the year book committee. This happy girl needed some happy colors and prints to compliment her so I found this great paper by My Mind's Eye in stash and put it to work. Plus I also added a bright sprig of flowers to make Anya smile. If you haven't added this fabulous rubber set of three gorgeous Miss Anyas to your cart in the TGF store yet, what are you waiting for?!  ;)

Thanks for stopping by... I'll see ya tomorrow!  :)

Be a dreamer...

Good morning!

I'm sharing another card that I've made using the new Miss Anya Spring set today. Marie has really outdone herself with these three beautiful Anyas, each one just as gorgeous as the next in her own special prom dress. I think this free spirit in her flowing maxi dress looks like she would totally be in drama club, taking every art course that is offered and spending time promoting awareness to live as green as possible to the other students. I found this great floral print in my scrap stash of paper and decided that I would paper piece Anya's gown with it. I love how it automatically gives her a funky floral dress to sashay around the dance floor in. Now don't forget that this amazing rubber set of three gorgeous Miss Anyas is available in the TGF store right now!

Later gators! :)

Quite wonderful...

Hello friends!

Have you seen the sneak peeks of the NEW Miss Anya Spring set that Marie has been sharing on the Greeting Farm Facebook page this past week? Well, the wait is over because this amazing rubber set of three gorgeous Miss Anyas is available in the TGF store right now! I can't even tell you how much I adore these new beauties... each one looks like she is dressed up for prom in a special dress picked out just for her.  I think this sassy gal in her rosette ruffle dress looks like she would be Miss Popularity, president of the ASB and top of her class. I even pulled my inspiration for the card design from Anya's dress and added some real ruffle roses and funky leaf die cuts to be her special corsage. ;)

Well, I hope you enjoyed this special Sunday post and be sure to stop by the Greeting Farm blog to leave a comment there for a chance to win this fab new stamp set!

Magical day...

TGIF my friends!

Last week I got the new Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends set on sale at a local craft store and while I think the little fairies that come with it are sweet I really wanted to pair some of the accessory stamps with a Greeting Farm cutie. So I inked up Fairy Queen Anya and grabbed some pretty spring papers from Imaginisce and put them all together. The result is a quick card with a fun little scene that puts a smile on my face. :)

Now I've got to post and run cause I've got some early morning errands to run before I can get on with my day. But I will be back with a special Sunday post so hopefully I'll see you then!

Good luck charm...

Top o' the mornin' to ya!

I've made a fun St. Patrick's Day card in celebration of today's festivities using this sweet little leprechaun called Paddy from Mo's Digital Pencil. He sure looks like a lucky guy with not one but two flour leaf clovers. The background that I colored was totally inspired by this fabulous card by Delphine which I first saw on Facebook a couple weeks ago. It really was pretty easy to accomplish and boy what a cool scene it sets! I wonder how long Paddy had to search that field of clover before finding the good luck charms that he was looking for? I will definitely be playing around with this more in the future. Thanks for the inspiration Delphine!  :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day and don't forget to wear the green so you don't get pinched!

Magical Birthday Wishes...

Hello, hello!

I made this card last week for a very special little gal's birthday but I couldn't post it earlier because I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Now that Brooke has celebrated her big day it's safe to share with everyone. Because Brooke is a true mermaid at heart I chose Sealia Mer Bean from The Greeting Farm for this special card. I love how it looks like she is waving her arms in celebration so I tried to mimic Brooke's blonde hair and pretty brown eyes to make Sealia look like the birthday girl. I paired her up with some paper and goodies from the new Doodlebug collection called Under the Sea and I think it is a match made in heaven. The colors are bright and fun and the prints are upbeat and totally playful... the perfect underwater party local for Sealia to be holding her big birthday bash. :)

Alrighty, time for me to scoot my boot. Have a good one everybody!

THE GREETING FARM BLOG

Surprise... I've got not one but two cards to share for the hop today! I got the idea to make a subtle patterned background using the fun mugs that are included in each of the I Love Dad and I Love Mom clear sets by simply stamping them repeatedly in a light grey ink. Then I searched through my TGF stamps to put together the perfect little family groupings. For my Dad card I used Ian from the New Parents set for Pops, Ian from the Amazing Duo set for big brother and Ian from the Oh Baby set for little brother. Mom Anya is also from the New Parents set and baby Anya is from the Oh Baby set too while big sis Anya and their little pooch are from the Signature set. I really had a blast finding all the different sized characters in my stamp stash and mixing things up a bit. :)

Ok, Happy Hopping!

Many thanks...

Good morning!

Today I am playing along in my first Some Odd Girl Facebook challenge to do paper piecing on my image. I grabbed the super adorable Pixie Dust fairy to ink up because not only does she have a perfect springtime vibe but her dress was also perfect for a bit of paper piecing fun. Because of her pose I really wanted to make it look like Pixie Dust was fluttering through the sky. I thought about searching through my stash for some cloud pattern paper but then I remembered these great cloud border dies and the matching sunshine die. I love the scene they set for this sweet little pixie and of course I had to add a sprinkling of sequins to reference the pixie dust she has been spreading.  ;)

Ok, it's Monday and that means I need to go get ready for work.
Later gators!  :)

Love You Mom...

Hello, hello!

Are you ready for day two of the March Greeting Farm release previews? Today we have a second clear set to share, I Love Mom is full of cute accessories and fun sentiments. Plus there are matching dies so no fussy cutting is required. I paired the two flower vases and the purse from I Love Mom with a window and floor lamp dies to create a sunny living room scene on my card. It's simple and sweet and was so much fun to put together.

There is plenty more I Love Mom inspiration to be had over on the TGF blog and I promise you won't want to miss the fabulous creations my fellow Farmers have made. :)
