Eat, drink and be scary...

Happy Halloween!

Tonight's the big night and I'm ready for any tick or treaters who may pay me a visit. Witch hat... check. Fun size candy... check! And for my final Halloween card of the year I decided to ink up the last little critter from the Hello Bluebird Halloween Party set that was waiting to see ink. This darling bear cub with her candy apple had me grabbing all of the little candy accessory stamps to add to the scene as well as this great sentiment from the Spooky Script set. I also added Glossy Accents to the candy to make it look hard and shiny. :)

Ok friends, I hope your day is spooktacular! Be safe and have fun!

Movie NIght...

Hey there!

I didn't have time to make another Halloween card yesterday so I hit my back log of TGF cards waiting to get posted and this one caught my eye. I like to think that these two cuties from the #Couplegoals set have settled in for a scary movie night in the ol' love seat in honor of the upcoming holiday. She looks quite engrossed in the movie while he seems to be a bit more preoccupied with the sweet gal pal cuddling close. The background was done using the ink smooshing technique and I went with a mellow yellow to mimic delicious buttery popcorn. And I even found these great popcorn kernel stamps in an old October Afternoon Christmas set that are the perfect finishing touch. Is it terrible that I could really go for some popcorn right now? LOL!

Anywho, thanks for popping in and I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Spread your wings and fly...

Good morning!

It's my turn to share some inspiration on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page and because I have been so busy behind the scenes getting ready for this past weekend's Moonlight Whispers release as well as the upcoming Sweet November release today's post kind of snuck up on me. Before I panicked too much I remembered that I still hadn't shared all of the Whimsy Fairy ATCs that I made this summer for the Things with Wings ATC swap. Now there aren't too many left in the store at this point but I just love them so much and I think they are some of the cutest fairies out there! With the smaller size of the artist trading cards I didn't worry about the stamps being too big because even losing some of their parts off the edge it's not like you can't tell what they are or what they are doing. In fact, I kinda dig how each one looks like a quick glimpse of something magical before it flutters away. I really hope that the ladies who got them enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them. :)

Ok, there is only a couple more days to get in on the October
Sweet November challenge where everyone who participates earns an exclusive surprise digi as well as a shot at winning the entire Sweet November November release! And don't forget the Mood Board Challenge for a shot at a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store!
Supply list:
cardstock- Catherine Pooler
stamps- Whimsy Stamps (Faye the Fairy, Spring Fairy, Fairy Wishes, Fairy and her Bunny, Giselle the Fairy, Hello Friend, Make a Wish)
ink- Memento tuxedo black
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen
Copic markers

Boo-yah!

Hi there!

I'm sharing another Halloween card that I made for the Trick or Treat 2 and Haunted House release at The Greeting Farm a while back. I've had so much fun playing around with the sizing of this Haunted House digital stamp and the different types of scenes you can create with it by doing so. I've printed it out very small, kinda mid-size and now I've gone for the extreme close up to use it more as a full back drop for these cute trick or treaters. It really made this card super quick and easy to create, which is always a huge plus!

Later gators!

Bring on the merry with a new Moonlight Whispers release!

Hello friends!

Fellow fans of Moonlight Whispers will be excited to see that we are introducing three brand new Christmas images today! Annie has put together a cheery, and a bit irreverent, set of digital stamps that are available now at 7 Kids! And for today only there is a special bundle deal for you to take advantage of and save. And be sure to stop by the 7 Kids Customers Create page for fun and games and chances to win during today's release celebration!

First up we have A Smidge of Merry and these two little Christmas fairies are hitting the Egg Nog pretty hard, LOL! Both of these fairies are totally cute and the great thing is that not only do you get the merged image of the two together but you also get each one individually so it is like you are getting two digis for the price of one! I actually played around with the individual ones for my card today, merging them into a slightly different configuration for my scene. There's no denying it, these fairies know that the Christmas tree isn't the only thing getting lit this year! ;)
Next up we have, The Best Gift. This little elf has wrapped himself up in pretty papers and bows, just waiting to surprise someone special on Christmas morning. But we all know that patience isn't a strong suit for most elves and he couldn't resist bursting out of the packaging early, LOL!
And finally we have No Grinches Allowed. This sweet little fairy is getting distracted from her tree decorating duties when she spots her reflection in one of the shiny ornaments. You can tell she is quite fascinated by her own appearance... and why wouldn't she be? She's a complete doll! ;)

Frightfully Sweet Halloween...

TGIF!

I'm back to work today so I've gotta keep this post short and sweet. Which I guess is appropriate considering how Frightfully Sweet this card is, LOL! These adorable trick or treating critters are from the MFT Frightfully Sweet stamp set and because I was running out of time before the big night I decided to use them all together on one card. I also wanted to cut into the new Pumpkin Party papers from Doodlebug and I think it was quite the successful pairing with these little cuties. I pulled all of my Copic colors for their costumes from the paper, making for a very bright and playful Halloween card. :)

Happy Halloween...

Olo!

I've got another card using more of the cute critters from the Hello Bluebird Halloween Party set. I'm determined to work my way through it before the big night arrives. This time around I paired up witchy kitty with witchy raccoon and I did a tiny alteration to the book by wiping away the "ghost stories" that was originally on it and writing in "spells" instead. I like how it now looks like these two are conjuring up some Halloween magic together. I kept the color palette simple and matching back to the pretty striped paper that I got from the new Nightfall paper pad and I love how spooky cute this entire scene turned out! :)

Toodles!

Wishing you a haunting night...

Hello, hello!

It's my day to post over at the Greeting Farm blog and since I'm all about Halloween cards this week I thought it would be fun to pair up a couple of digital stamps for my card. Hallo Witch is an oldie but a goodie and she got a whole new look when I shrunk her way down and placed her up above the new Haunted House digi which I enlarged and cropped to just show the top half. I wanted it to look like she is flying over the roof tops on her way to do some Halloween mischief. Though let's be honest, that face is way too sweet to belong to much of a trouble maker. Then I just used my Copic markers to color in a simple moon and sky to complete the scene. A fun sentiment to pull it all together and I had a finished card. :)

I hope your day is so crafty it's scary!

Who Glows There...

Hello, hello!

The fact that Halloween is only eight days away is kinda catching me off guard. For some reason I've been under the assumption that I've got plenty of time to start diving into Halloween cards and now... not so much! So now I am in a mad scramble to ink up some of the fun new Halloween stamps that I've added to my collection this year. First up are these adorable Halloween critters from Hello Bluebird. I fell in love with the Halloween Party set as soon as I saw it, all of the animals are super cute and the scene building possibilities with the accessory stamps always get me excited. I ended up grabbing bits and pieces from several different Hello Bluebird sets to put this too-cute-to-spook scene together and I had a lot of fun playing off the whole glowing light theme with the pumpkins and party lights. It doesn't show up great in the photo but I added Glossy Accents to all the lights, the lantern and the candy bucket that looks really cool in person. ;)

Alrighty, I'm off to decide which Halloween card to make next... see ya tomorrow!

Something wonderful...

Good morning!

This weekend Le Doux Designs released Planner Penelope and her Plushy Pals digital stamps at 7 Kids. There are seven new designs and I took advantage of the capability to re-size digital stamps to fit three of the characters together into this single scene. I envisioned little Penelope relaxing and doing her weekly planning in her bedroom surrounded by her stuffed panda and pet hamster. I printed them all out in a light grey ink for some no-line coloring and went to town! The perspective is a bit off between the bed and the dresser that the hamster cage is on but that's ok, like I always say... the background isn't the star of the show. As long as it has the right feel for your character's story the lines don't have to be spot on perfect. In the end, I've got a sweet and cheery card ready to brighten someone's day. :)

Later gators!

Be Awesome Today...

Olo!

This little dude from the Oh Boys set is part of the most recent Greeting Farm release. Something about this cutie had me envisioning him as an outdoorsy hiker type of guy. So I grabbed the mountain from the How Rawr You set and stamped it repeatedly in desert ink sand because I knew that doing the mountains in no line would help throw them further into the distance compared to him. Then I also printed off the tiny backpack from the S'more Fun digital add on set to complete the scene. I sure hope he's got a buddy so he doesn't get lost in those hills!  ;)

Put on the pointy hat...

TGIF my friends!

I found myself short on crafting time yesterday but luckily I have a nice pile of colored images from the Some Odd Girl coloring challenges that are just waiting to make it onto a card. So I flipped through the most recent ones I had done and this sassy witch caught my eye. She is actually from a retired stamp set called Kaylee's Closet and her costume came separately as the Witch Wardrobe and the boots are from the Winter Wardrobe. Not having much time, I quickly fussy cut Kaylee then grabbed the new Bewitched papers and found the perfect background/sentiment all rolled into one. I jazzed it up a bit with the moon and bat stickers but it was fun to change things up and play with pretty papers again. All in all, not too shabby for a 15 minute card. ;)

Alrighty, gotta run... early start time at work today!

Not all those who wander are lost...

Mornin' folks!

So yesterday I shared my card using the lovely Uptown Zodiac Girl Libra and now it is time to share my altered version of her. Unlike the last few Zodiac girls, this alteration was a bit more involved than simply doing some creative cropping and coloring. So I wiped away her upraised arm completely before stamping as well as her other hand and the scale it was holding. Then I grabbed a black multiliner pen and drew in a simple lowered arm as well as a new waving hand. This left me with a pretty gal either waving hello or goodbye, but what to do with her? My sister Tracy, who is always good at challenging me said that I should color her into a train station or airport. That idea was a bit daunting at first but I decided to see what I could do, if nothing else it would stretch my Copic skills for sure. So I did a google search for train stations and found a photo that inspired me to give it a go. It's not perfect by any means but that's the beauty of backgrounds, they don't have to be! You just want to create the right impression. In the end I think it looks like Miss Libra is ready to set out on an adventure.  :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a good one my friends!

Your birthday star...

Hello crafty friends!

I'm just over half way through my personal challenge to create birthday cards for each of the Stamping Bella Zodiac Girls. Today Miss Libra is the latest star sign beauty to get inked up and on a card. Libra is the sign of the Scales. She is active, artistic, easy going, peaceable, prizing beauty and harmony. She is also diplomatic and very socially inclined. Her signature colors are lavender and blue, the colors of romance, harmony and refinement. I wanted to play up the whole scales, yin and yang, black and white theme with Libra thus the bit of striped washi tape. And as always, the sentiment is a mix of stamps with the top being from the Papertrey Ink Stargazer sets and the description is included with Libra

Tomorrow I will have the altered version of Libra and I really challenged myself with that one!  :)

Comfort and Joy...

Good morning!

I've been busy working behind the scenes to get ready for the Sweet November release next month so no time for a new card today. But I figured this was a good opportunity to post the card I colored during one of the Live Release Day coloring videos. This one features the Before the Ride digi with Mr and Mrs Claus holding each other in their arms. This time around I paired them with the new Background Builder Room Corner digital stamps and created a cozy scene with them in front of a glowing fire. I always have so much fun collaborating with everyone watching and seeing where all the different color suggestions take us. :)

And just in case you didn't know, every month I run a Sweet November creation share over at 7 Kids... here's a bit about it:

Yep, EVERYONE who shares is a winner because I think we are all amazing and it is so important to build up everyone in this awesome community that we all love, no matter where they are in their crafty journey. So starting on November 1st there is going to be a FREE exclusive digital stamp that won't be available for anyone else to purchase until November 2019. And there will be a new one each month after that, so what are you waiting for? Show us what you are creating with the North Pole Snapshots release and you will be fairy happy that you did! ;)

Supply list:

This is a short hop so definitely worth playing along! And if you can't wait for the hop to be over, you can purchase these stamps along with their coordinating dies HERE.

Hi friends! Thanks for kicking off the hop with me... for my card today I wanted to have some fun mixing stamp sets to create this scene. Apparently it is two taco Tuesday and this little cutie from the Nom Nom Nom set has invited her pal from the Oh Boys set to join her. It was an easy alteration to get him to join in on the feast, all I did was wipe away his original arms before stamping then stamped, colored and cut out an extra pair of hands and tacos from her to glue right onto his body. Then I grabbed the tiny cook from the Tiny Plans 2 set and added her into the taco truck to complete the story. The sentiment and strip of paper are from the Doodlebug So Much Pun paper pad and I really like how they play with his little tongue sticking out like that, it's like he can't handle the hot stuff, LOL! ;)

Alrighty, I shall send you on your way now... have fun hopping!
